In simplest terms, why is it not possible? Just because of Nintendo's mad programming skills, or what?by nintendude - Getting Started
I bought my (3rd) Wii back in December '08 and, when it came time to install the HBC, I noticed that I couldn't install BootMii as boot2 since I have the new boot1 (which I hear can't be modified outside Nintendo). Keeping this in mind, will it ever be possible to install BootMii on a Wii that has the new boot1 or will people like me have to have the HBC installed on the system itsby nintendude - Getting Started
Sorry, you're right, I meant HackMii or whatever the name of the installer is that, when used with Comex's bannerbomb, allows installation of HBC and/or DVDx. So basically the uninstallation method of both the HackMii installer and AnyTitle Deleter are exactly the same and I can use either one to get rid of HBC and its ticket, but neither will get rid of the HBC history on the Message Bby nintendude - Getting Started
Quotedaniel_c_wI still think, that DS is the best Mario Kart, but if it had a better Battlemode MK-Wii would be on top, for the reasons you staed. Plus: you can customize it a lot, like tunrning of items, and make it a true racing game, if you like. I also like Nintendo's approach to ghosts, tournametnts and leadeboards. Mario Kart Super Circuit is the worst one, with MK64 being secby nintendude - Offtopic
Quotedaniel_c_w Quote(not to mention the song to Super Mario Kart's Rainbow Road playing in my head for most of the day) I can relate. I will never understand, why they changed the theme for (most of) the other Mariokart games. My favorite Rainbow Road song, though, is from MK:DD. That, and I also really like MK64 and SMK's Rainbow Road songs as well.by nintendude - Offtopic
So, if AnyTitle Deleter can't erase message board history, then wouldn't uninstalling HBC and its ticket through LoadMii work exactly the same as AnyTitle Deleter?by nintendude - Getting Started
Yeah, you're probably right, but I'm just anal (not to mention paranoid) about these things and sometimes think more of what could go wrong rather than right... -_-by nintendude - Getting Started
After playing Super Mario Kart on my Wii (thanks to the SNES emulator downloaded through HBC) and after playing MKDS before that, I've had Mario Kart on my mind (not to mention the song to Super Mario Kart's Rainbow Road playing in my head for most of the day) and thought of this question to ask you guys for the heck of it: what's your overall favorite Mario Kart? Personally, as muby nintendude - Offtopic
That sucks! So your saying that even after using AnyTitle Deleter, HBC usage will still show up on the message board? Hopefully I'll never have to send in my Wii to Nintendo (regardless of whether or not it still under warranty) as I don't want them to possibly charge me a jacked up price just for using HBC!by nintendude - Getting Started
Yeah, I tried the same thing with Smash Bros., but to no avail. I guess it's just the emulator. Plus, it's only in its alpha release state and it won't run like a purchased N64 VC game would, but I can't wait for it to get to that point...by nintendude - Getting Started
So, say I used Anytitle Deleter on Hombrew Channel, it would also get rid of not only the ticket, but also any message board records as well? Also, how would you get Anytitle Deleter on to your Wii? By SD card, I presume? And, after reading the article about it from the link that WaxyPumpkin provided, will it show HBC as Homebrew Channel, or some other weird title? Sorry for all of the questions,by nintendude - Getting Started
Actually, I found that there might be another way. Assuming that the only trace of HBC that's left after deleting the channel the "regular" way (from the system menu) is a ticket, then couldn't you just uninstall HBC via the LoadMii installler? I noticed last night as I was updating the HBC to 1.0.3. via HBC that when you are given the option to install HBC or DVDx, you can also uninstaby nintendude - Getting Started
**Thanks to a DSi issue I had a questions on the warranty for it from Nintendo's Tech Support Forums, an interesting hypothetical question popped up in my mind the other day:** Let's say that worst-case scenario came up where I needed to send in my Wii to Nintendo for repairs (highly unlikely, but still possible). I know that having Homebrew Channel and DVDx installed voids the warraby nintendude - Getting Started
Quotepinball WizardQuotenintendudeAll hackers, even Comex, HAVE to admit to being this! :D LOL everyone at my school knows me as that!!! Sometimes I'm known as that as well! :Dby nintendude - Offtopic
The programs I use to play Brawl+ are Gecko OS 1.9 (even though it's easier and faster to just install it from Homebrew Browser) and Code Manager. Then just get codes from places like the ones I posted above. ;)by nintendude - Getting Started
Don't cry, dude! Also, after you're done not crying, check this out! :D Alright, I'm only going to tell you one more time, don't download this song!by nintendude - Offtopic
1) Brawl+ is basically a hacked version of Brawl. Don't get me wrong, regular Brawl is fun, but (especially after beating the game almost entirely) Brawl+ is awesome! Just check out these hacks, and you'll see what I mean. I already got some codes from this guy, and you can find more from places like here, there, or even here. Trust me, once you play Brawl+, you'll NEVER want to plby nintendude - Getting Started

Oh, now you tell me! :P @Phoenix Tank: I just did what you said and used Homebrew Browser to download (quicker and easier) and I've been playing Brawl+ for the past 2 days now! :) Alright, down to two more questions: 1) For the heck of it, I installed DVDx. How am I able to watch DVDs? Do I just insert a DVD like I would a game and use the disc channel to start it? Or do I have toby nintendude - Getting Started
Another question, when I downloaded the Gecko OS 1.9 to my SD card and unzipped it, do I just put the folder that was unzipped into the apps folders? (sd/apps/gecko1901/etc...)by nintendude - Getting Started
Also, I can delete the HackMii Installer and bannerbomb files now, right?by nintendude - Getting Started
Success! I waited over 10 minutes, nothing. Then, I turned off my Wii, turned it back on, then followed all of the steps, and this time everything worked like a charm! Now, I'm going to get all of the required stuff (Homebrew browser and Gecko OS). Thanks for the help! Also, bg4545, I suggest trying what I did a few more times and let us know if you, too, had success.by nintendude - Getting Started
No, if that were the case, then no one would successfully be able to install anything... (hopefully not me)by nintendude - Getting Started
I've currently been waiting about 5 minutes or so, but no luck still. While I continue to wait, what happens if my Wii remote doesn't time out at all after waiting a considerable amount of time (like maybe 20-30 minutes at most)? The thread that you linked me to had one person complain on the next page (the latest post) that his Wii remote never timed out after waiting a while.by nintendude - Getting Started
Alright, I did everything right, now I'm at the screen that talks about scams, etc. and then it says press 1 to continue. Do I wait for my Wii remote to power off before pressing 1? Or is it on the next screen? Also, the first time I tried, when I got to the installer screen, it said the following: The Homebrew Channel: Can be installed DVDX: Can be installed BootMii: Can be installed iby nintendude - Getting Started
Quick question: do I put the banner bomb folder download (folder named 'aad1f_v104 with all of its contents) into the temporarily named 'privateold' folder or onto the root of my SD? Also, will taking all of the contents from the HackMii installer folder (boot.elf , credits, license, read me) and putting it on the root of my SD work just fine? Also, where do I put the Hombrew Browsby nintendude - Getting Started
It's not a big deal if I back up or not as I could just copy everything from my Wii onto my SD all over again (a little time consuming, but not a big deal). I'll check the format, but I'm sure I'll be fine since my Wii's been reading and writing to it just fine since day 1 of owning said card. Thanks for the info! It's the music video for the song "Don't Download This Song" by Weird Al Yankovic. Try this link and tell me if it works.by nintendude - Offtopic
Where do I get the Homebrew browser and will my Wii remote only timeout once throughout the installing process? Also, does my SD card need to be formatted and, if so, what format and should I then need to worry about backing up everything to my MBP?by nintendude - Getting Started
