Can't Update from within xwhiite. - 14 years ago
Hi, I recently got the wifi working in xwhiite thanks to the help of my Ubuntu Linux Partition on my PC. The problem now is that when I try to "app-get update" or "app-get upgrade" it all the websites that it tries to get the updates from are 404. Also, when I try to "app-get install xfce4" it can't find it either! I tried the "--fix-missing" command and that didn't work as well. so whaby personafan87 - Wii Linux

Hello, I'm on system menu 4.0u and I have some patched ios and ios202 installed and number of other unmentionable ios. I also have HBC 1.0.6 and do not want to update it due to...Issues I've been hearing and reading about. Anyway my question is will I still gain the benefits of ios58 even with the above specs? If so then what apps does ios58 provide 2.0 speed to?by personafan87 - Homebrew Applications

Well idk I uninstalled ios 202 and everything is working fine now. except of course that now whenever i put a game in it asks that i update so that the game can be played from the disc channel but at least Gecko can run them...For now. And, as far as i can tell ios 202 doesn't work in fact I haven't heard of it ever working as it was intended on this forum but hey it's not my placeby personafan87 - Homebrew Applications

That's the thing my emulators are on an SD card just not the games those are on the usb the problem is that the emulators won't launch at all. However, the usb works fine because I was playing the wii64 just fine and all those games are on my usb. So are my sega games those run fine.by personafan87 - Homebrew Applications

Hello, I just installed Ios36 w/Fakesign using Dopmii I did this in order to install Ios 202 for use with USB2 and maybe some dvd playback. However after doing this I discovered that I now can't use Wiimc, MplayerCE, Snesgx, Whatever the NES emulator is called and the vbga emulator. When I try to load any of these all I get is a black screen and they were working fine before I put Ios36 w/faby personafan87 - Homebrew Applications

@Iwatasan Thank You for the response and the clarification. My only issue is all the stuff I hear about dopmii and wiiscu you know about the bricking and all. That's why I just don't trust it, but I didn't know that it could be used to only update the shop channel by itself thanks for the tip.by personafan87 - Homebrew General

I have a heck of a noobish question actually more like questions. First, I want to explain that i first installed HBC on my 4.2u system menu by putting the installer in my SD card then just clicking on the sd icon on the bottom left of my screen which in turn ran the installer (I guess that's Bannerbomb idk). I now still have 4.2u and as most I've been patiently waiting for an installerby personafan87 - Homebrew General

Ok seriously is WiiSCU safe to use or not because it sounds like it's not even worth the risk at all. I really want to use the shop channel but I have like literally over 1000 games for my various emulators and i'd be pissed if I lost my most wonderful HBC. I'd be even more pissed if my wii got bricked so seriously is it safe to use or not? I would appreciate a strait up blunt answby personafan87 - Homebrew General

Look i know that this is an old topic and I apologize. But, I really need to know If "BootGC" or "Gecko os" (Both are the latest versions) will run pal gamecube games on my american wii. The reason I ask this is because I saw these games on ebay that are way cheaper to buy from England than from here in the U.S. and i want to know if they will run before I buy them.
