The bg_music_ogg.length idea came from a misreading. In the libwiigui example length is a parameter and i thought it was a function to check how long an array is. (I think you always can do that in Java). At first I couln't compile it but adding a few libs to the bakefile solved that. These are my current makefile libs: LIBS := -lpng -ljpeg -lz -lfat -lwiiuse -lbte -lfat -logc -lm -lby profetylen - Coding

What is Mario Kart ME? I prefer Super Mario Kart!!! It has the best controls and is least luck-based. Nearly 100 % talented based as the green shells can be compared to the reds due to the ability to bounce them in a wall and then hit. This is very hard in the other games as there are very few "exact walls". I hate blue shells and I hate that reds follow the road and I also hate that you canby profetylen - Offtopic
It is not becoming auto genereted. I have checked the build folder and it's not there. I can't even see it in the sfx folder in programmers notepad, and I have checked it really is there. I "cheated" and borrowed the bg_music_ogg.h from the libwiigui example and then I could not use the PlayOgg(...) function. I used it as it is being used in the libwiigui example. That is, as far aby profetylen - Coding
OK! I have got the file inside folder_of_the_app\sfx It doesn't just show up in programmers notepad and can't be accessed through extern const u8 myfile_ogg[] or size... What might be wrong then? My makefile looks like this: #--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Clear the implicit built in rules #---------------------------by profetylen - Coding
That may be true. But it is easier to install the hombrew channel with the Twilight Hack than with Bannerbomb. So if you are going to update, I suggest you do the Twilight Hack before the update!by profetylen - Getting Started
Doesn't ftpii do something like that?by profetylen - Ideas, requests
Ok! I think I have understodd everything except how I do get the sound file to be stored in an array, like bg_music_ogg[] and it's size in bg_music_ogg_size. I have added this makefile rule: #--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- # This rule links in binary data with the .ogg extension #----------------------------------------------------by profetylen - Coding
Erm... since you are on 3.4 you should use the Twilight Hack instead of Bannerbomb.by profetylen - Getting Started
@RazorChrist Ok! Where can I find the information about what lib should be added? @henke37 Ok, but I think I prefer it the other way to make everything "cleaner", but thanks anyway for the advice! :)by profetylen - Coding
QuoteArikadoQuotekydois there like an age for learning the coding stuff couse i am pretty young (under 16) and i dunno if that is something that is common for younger people to comprehend?) I started at 9, so have fun :D The quicker you start, the better, I'd say!by profetylen - Ideas, requests
QuoteMrPeanutGRRLIB_LoadTextureFromFile() does not compile the file into the dol. Have you got GRRLIB from the svn newly?by profetylen - Coding
You don't have happened to back up your nand with bootmii newly? That way, you could just "unbackup" it and regain World of Goo.by profetylen - Getting Started
Ok! I am gonna go with the oggplayer.c (found in the libwiigui example). However since I don't use the libwiibui library and use GRRLIB instead I figured I'd only use the oggplayer.c to play my sounds. The tricky part is, however, how can I load the sound files to the memory? I'm not really into this makefile stuff. Do I have to modify the makefile?by profetylen - Coding
You might have misspelled Hombrew Channel as it actually shows this result:by profetylen - Offtopic
Hmm... maybe I am a bit too late but... If you would still have your ticket, couldn't someone just have sent you a copy of that game saved to an SD-card?by profetylen - Getting Started
If you don't have a GC controller, I think you need to sync your wiimote before you use the hackmii installer. Do that with the red button next to your SD slot.by profetylen - Homebrew General
Here's a list of tutorials: And here's a list of libraries and a bunch of other useful stuff: I recommend GRRLIB as graphics library, which can be found from the latter link.by profetylen - Getting Started
With GRRLIB, I think you will need to convert your image to a header file. This can be done easily with WiiBuilder . Put the header file in your source folder or a subfolder. Then include that header-file. Like this: #include "graphics/image.h" or #include "image.h" depending on your path. to init GRRLIB, which you have to do before you can actually draw anything, use:by profetylen - Coding
Hm, the game seems to be written in Microsoft Silverlight, which I don't really know what it is, but according to wikipedia it seems to be a porgram similar to Flash. However, as far as I can understand, it is not written in C which makes it very very hard to port because you'll need to translate every Silverlight command to a C command. The game looks nice though. I've seen thby profetylen - Ideas, requests
Glad to hear you want to code. I recently leared C++ and it just took me 3 or 4 weeks or someting (I am still no professional, but I can make some, not too crappy, self-made stuff running on my Wii now.) I learned it from this site: (recommended by Arikado). However, I have coding experience from before through Java (an 8-week course at school) and some Game Maker crap I used before I kby profetylen - Ideas, requests
@DrTwox: No, I didn't think of that! @ekeeke: Yes, I have found PAD_StickX and PAD_StickY, but how do I access the C-stick? Thanks, both of you for the help! :)by profetylen - Coding
Can I get access to the wii's clock? I want the milliseconds too.by profetylen - Coding
How do I get information about the nunchuck stick? (and the classic controller sticks) I have searched a couple of source codes but I can't really figure out how to do it. edit: and the gamecube C-stickby profetylen - Coding
OK! I tried that yesterday, but the wii crashed and I figured maybe that's because I must change too gamecube rules in the makefile or something and therefore I figured maybe it's impossible. However, today I noticed (thanks to you, Arikado), that I forgot to call PAD_Init(). Thanks to both of you, for your explicit help!by profetylen - Coding
