of what? EDIT: realised you probably mean 3.3, the way to check would be see which DVDx installer works. If you have DVDx already, uninstall it, then get the older installers (the regular one and the 3.4 one) if the regular one fails and the 3.4 one works, then you have v2, if the regular one works you have v1.by SifJar - Getting Started

i'm not that sure either what i mean by tweaking lol. just like trying to mess about with the contents, see if anything can be changed to make it more useful or something. just an idea, probably a stupid one. and i doubt hex-editing a WAD will give anything useful.by SifJar - Software
no they're not. root is not a folder. if you properly read my instructions you'd see that the dol file should be at N:/apps/{homebrew name}/boot.dol NOT N:/root/apps/{homebrew name}/boot.dol. root is not a folder. it refers to the topmost place on your card (i.e. you can't go "up" and stay in the card, in this case N:). also, you have several warez stuff on there that aren't sby SifJar - Getting Started
Hi there. I've been thinking about the possibiltiy of tweaking Wii Channels. Just some of the system channels like Mii Channel or Internet Channel or something. But my question is this - what are they written in? And how would I do these tweaks? Would I just use FSToolbox to dump the Channels off my NAND, then open the files I get, or is there more to it than that? I expect there may be... Oby SifJar - Software
no. they should be in the apps folder which is in the root. as i said. and as is in arikado's FAQ. and the .dol file must be named boot.dol. The location of the .dol files should be X:/apps/{homebrew name}/boot.dol, where X is the letter of your SD Card and {homebrew name} is the name of the homebrew. Most downloads on WiiBrew.org actually come set up, you just copy the apps folder fby SifJar - Getting Started
delete the private folder from the sd card to use sd menu properly. and i think the other thing you refer to may be bootmii. press power to scroll accross and reset to select. the first icon is system menu, second is HBC, third is directly launch homebrew, but none is compatible yet, and the last is NAND operations. i'd advise you go to NAND operations, and select I think it's the firstby SifJar - Getting Started
use bannerbomb and the hackmii installer.by SifJar - Getting Started
Good point. OK, just get the old DVDx installer, use HackMii installer to remove the latest DVDx (I think this is necessary), then use the old installer. Select Advanced Mode and select to install to IOS 202, which is the USB 2.0 cIOS.by SifJar - Getting Started
It tells you what to do here: http://code.google.com/p/mplayer-ce/wiki/USB20 It seems you must indeed uninstall DVDx, then reinstall using the old installer in advanced mode, and selecting IOS 202, to install on cIOS USB 2.0. And if you have System Menu 3.4 or higher, apparently there is no advanced mode in DVDx installer, so you can't use USB 2.0 devices, but I'm not sure if thby SifJar - Getting Started
It MAY be because it's Korean, I think I read somewhere they can have problems with Homebrew, but I'm not 100% sureby SifJar - Getting Started
QuoteTehmanRead through this all and I can't find a proper solution for the same problem..... The proper solution is to setup your SD card right. It's really simple. Make a folder called "apps". Inside that folder, make a new folder for each homebrew you want. Let's say for example Homebrew Browser. Make a folder called "Homebrew Browser". Download Homebrew Browser from WiiBrew.oby SifJar - Getting Started
No, it isn't. Guitar Fun has a seperate version made for use with GH:WT guitar, the regular version just does GH3. That's probably why it isn't working for you.by SifJar - Coding
Can rebooting with hooks do that? Or are you on to new a firmware to allow that to work?by SifJar - Ideas, requests
What? But I wrote the script!! It took like, 3 seconds. Well, that's time I'll never see again. ;)by SifJar - Offtopic
No probs. Shouldnt take long, but it'll have to wait till tomorrow.by SifJar - Offtopic
i don't think it's possible without internet connection. or at least not legally.by SifJar - Getting Started
I'm not advising downgrade using current methods, but for those who can install BootMii as boot2, this could have been a safe way to do so I think. And I believe those with boot2v4 will have an invulnerable boot1, so can't install BootMii as boot2, meanind they wouldn't be able to do this. But I thought sharing NAND dumps may be illegal.by SifJar - Ideas, requests
Do you have twilight princess? if so try twilight hack.by SifJar - Getting Started
Well, my brother managed to get it working, but I'm not 100% sure how. Basically, he has Vista, so when he plugged in the bluetooth dongle it automatically installed the driver, then he just paired the devices through Windows Bluetooth Wizard or something similarly named, built into Windows. Then he used GlovePIE and some scripts he found online to do stuff. Dunno if that helps at all. And sby SifJar - Offtopic
hmm, that's odd. if you really need to take a screenshot, you could use an AutoHotKey script to re-map the key. If you dont have AutoHotKey, I'll write a script and compile it into an exe for you, I'll do that tomorrow, have to go to bed now ;)by SifJar - Offtopic
I'm afraid this isn't really the right place for that. This forum is about getting homebrew (unsigned code created by hobbyists) running on the Wii, not using a Wiimote on PC. Although someone may still be able to help you.by SifJar - Offtopic
Exactly. That's probably the hard part. I know you'd need a custom boot2 (i.e. BootMii), but beyond that, I have nothing.by SifJar - Getting Started
are you using an SDHC card? they're not supported by preloader.by SifJar - Getting Started
i dunno. maybe. never really looked into it much.by SifJar - Ideas, requests
i dunno, but i think maybe slower than SD. SD may be fast enough, I mean time machine on PSP uses MS, so i guess it may be fast enough using SDby SifJar - Getting Started
I think I read somewhere it's also needed for USB devices, despite the name.by SifJar - Getting Started
I'm not sure the access time for the SD Card would be good enough to run the System Menu. And I believe NAND dumps wouldn't be able to be booted as they are. However, it may be possible to install the System Menu and required IOS on the SD Card in such a way they could be booted by BootMii. and that could be pretty cool. Keep 3.2 on the SD Card, and have the latest version on the NAND oby SifJar - Getting Started
