So basically save game extractor isn't working? What firmware are you on? If you're on 3.2, have you tried preloader or gecko os reboot with hooks to remove the copy protection on the saves?by SifJar - Offtopic
I was thinking, maybe each image had the same body, just in different places, different sized headers or something, but it appears not.by SifJar - Offtopic
Ok here's exactly what you need to do: 1. Use bannerbomb OR twilight hack to run HackMii installer, and install HBC, DVDx and BootMii (as boot2 if possible) 2. Turn off Wii. Turn back on and take NAND dump with BootMii 3. Run AnyRegion Changer from HBC and leave region settings as they are, just hit Go. 4. Install preloader from HBC and setup hacks.ini 5. Run WiiSCU from HBC, and instby SifJar - Getting Started
If you want to change to 3.2, just run AnyRegion Changer, but dont change any region settings, just hit Go. But as stated above, there is no real need to upgrade. Unless you want preloader with hacks, because hacks are only available for 3.2 and 4.0, not 3.1. But otherwise stay where you are.by SifJar - Getting Started
I really have no idea what's going on here, but maybe that's because I'm unfamiliar with AC Toolkit. Could you explain the problem a little better? Is it that you updated HBC and it no longer works? If so, run WiiSCU with twilight hack or bannerbomb, and install IOS 60. That should fix it. If that isn't the problem, sorry I don't really understand what the problem is. Mayby SifJar - Offtopic
Yes, but the entire body is different, except for a few values, meaning it's saved differently I believe, meaning we have no idea how large the header is. Unless...I may have an idea, I'll go try something, and report back. EDIT: Never mind, didn't work.by SifJar - Offtopic
You need trucha IOS to be able to use it. I think it's IOS 36 which must have the trucha bug. What firmware are you on? There are ways of getting trucha bug back, depending on the firmware.by SifJar - Getting Started
Hmm, i dunno, i just repeated what i read on GBAFail, so it;s probably a load of crap, knowing some of the idiots there. although the DS section generally isn't as bad as the Wii section actually. EDIT: I downloaded the sample pic from DSiBrew.org, and decided to play about with it. I opened it in paint and saved it without doing anything, and then used a hex editor to compare the files.by SifJar - Offtopic
Yes, and they also advise people NOT to install it at this stage if they aren't experienced enough to fully understand what it is and what it does. So therefore, many people probably won't have BootMii, so there cannot be potential brickers in the Homebrew Browser. Anyway, it doesn't take that long just to download it on computer and transfer it. I have homebrew browser, but I neveby SifJar - Homebrew Applications
I'd advise you use AnyRegion Changer to go to 3.2, and then use WiiSCU to allow you to go on Shop Channel. If you do decide to go to 4.0, first use tona's patchmii cIOS installer, then when you upgrade, you can use WAD Manager to downgrade IOS 36 so you can do pretty much anything on 4.0.by SifJar - Getting Started
QuoteZack Also, why does Phorum think this is spam? I dunno, but half my posts are classified as spam.by SifJar - Getting Started
Well if you're experienced enough to be using apps that could brick you and to have BootMii installed, you're experienced enough to manually download your homebrew.by SifJar - Homebrew Applications
Nope, the trash icon doesn't appear in play history, just letters. Go check now if you don't believe me.by SifJar - Getting Started
Yeah, and hex editing it won't help I'm afraid. Even if you just copy it to a computer and back to a DSi, apparently the DSi won't show it. Can't confirm this myself as I don't have a DSi, but I read that at a forum. Was GBAFail though, so who knows... But I'm pretty sure if you open it in paint, and close it without even saving, it'll be unviewable on DSiby SifJar - Offtopic
there is no way to manually delete play history, and there is no homebrew to remove play history. the only way to get rid of it is formatting.by SifJar - Getting Started
well, technically you can load them. the ability and code is there to do so, there are just no compatible homebrews right now.by SifJar - Getting Started
you only need to rent grand slam tennis if you dont actually want it, and update then return it. EDIT: crap. turns out it wasn't 4.0, it was 3.4. So don't bother getting the game, it'll do no good. Sorry if you already went out and bought/rented the game. i had been on 3.3v2, but as it was a really new game, i thought it'd have 4.0, and i only just checked. my brother justby SifJar - Getting Started
then format your wii to get rid of play history, which will feature HBC and any warez.by SifJar - Getting Started
QuoteKage52124Can't load homebrew apps with bootmii...yet... Actually you can, they just have to be made especially for BootMii (i.e. to use MINI), and none have as of yet I believe.by SifJar - Getting Started
No problem. Although I don't really think I helped much, just suggested stupid impossible ideas.by SifJar - Homebrew Applications
Yeah, as said above when GameCube games are booted, the Wii enters MIOS, which shuts down all Wii functions, effectively turning the hardware into that of a Gamecube. The only way around this would be to either boot the GC game in Wii mode through an emulator, which would mean it would run slow, or to make a custom MIOS, which doesn't lock out all hardware not present in GC. However I believby SifJar - Ideas, requests
Instead of WMIOS35, I believe you could just use WAD Manager 1.4, as I read it lets you choose to use IOS 35, which is what is necessary. So just do that at step two instead (well, I guess it wouldn't make a difference really), and then the other steps will work. And if you really want, I believe you could then run AnyRegion Changer to downgrade to 3.2, but there's little point if you hby SifJar - Homebrew Applications
oh, didn't know rock band guitar was usb. assumed it attached through wiimote.by SifJar - Getting Started
yes and yes. but its hard. making it is very hard to do. you need to manually do a lot of stuff, and it's tricky. it could be made easier by an app, but there is no legal app for doing so. also, installing it needs WAD Manager, because wadimport only works with WADs that you have the ticket for in the Wii, or system menu/IOS WADs, and you wouldn't have the ticket in your Wii. However, Wby SifJar - Homebrew General
yeah, he just said that, complaining about the fact that everything was GH3 guitar controlled, not rock band guitar controlled. But are they not cross compatible? I know the World Tour guitar needs a modified version of Guitar Fun to work, is it the same with Rock Band guitar?by SifJar - Getting Started
Grand Slam Tennis DOES have the 4.0 update, my brother bought it yesterday and updated our Wii with it. And having BootMii installed doesn't really help you upgrade. But take a NAND dump before you do, so that i you want to go back to the lower firmware, you can without much effort.by SifJar - Getting Started
hmm, what of waninkoko's stuff? may be able to help if i know what it was. btw, why didn't you take a NAND dump if you installed BootMii?by SifJar - Getting Started
I don't believe you could actually, as PatchMii doesn't work without trucha, and i assume it needs IOS 36 to have trucha, which is the end result of all this. and everything you did is legal. however, if the cIOS patchmii installer can work off IOS 35 with trucha, then you could run CMDVDX35 to downgrade IOS 35, then do your stuff. Or just use WAD Manager 1.4 which I believe works withby SifJar - Homebrew Applications
yeah, i wouldn't be able to do it. thought about it for a while, realised I have very little knowledge of C or C++ or whatever, but downloaded the source of WiiSCU anyway and realised i had no idea were to start. sorryby SifJar - Homebrew Applications
yeah yellow means wc24 is on, red means it isn't. but back to your real problem. i believe if a version of wadimport was compiled to work with MINI (i.e. BootMii's homebrew system), you could boot it from BootMii, and install the WADs of System Menu 4.0 (or whatever system menu you were on, or well, any really I think) and IOS 30, see if that fixes it. I believe it is possible to coby SifJar - Getting Started
