whodares got BASIC working on wii a little while back. Aside from that, if you don't know c or c++ you can't help because the emulator is written in c and c++.by Arikado - Homebrew Applications
Tabbed browsing is a must have for a homebrew internet browser.by Arikado - Homebrew General
You have to view their google code homepage with a svn client on the source page.by Arikado - Homebrew Applications
Thats actually a really cool idea.by Arikado - Offtopic
I don't have anything against Opera. I would just prefer firefox or chrome over it anyday. Plus, a homebrew internet browser would really make the homebrew scene take off.by Arikado - Homebrew General
I didn't say they were holding anything back. If DarkchoesX really wants to help right source, the first step is to compile the latest build. Telling us how it plays would be for the benefit of this topic. After compilation, I would reccomend working on dynarec. I believe the graphics section is whats giving them trouble.by Arikado - Homebrew Applications
Well, you'll need to find out what language it's in and if its open source. Otherwise, no one will help you.by Arikado - Homebrew General
Is Opera open source? If it is, perhaps their Wii browser may help someone get started.by Arikado - Homebrew General
For starters, you could compile the latest build and tell us how it plays.by Arikado - Homebrew Applications
Anyways, I took a look through the source today. Here are my findings: They're on 417 as of October 4th. Whats taking so long is dynarec: A dynamic recompilation tool that allows full speed emulation by breaking down the ROM and then rebuilding (recompiling) it as Wii code to run at full speed. Right now, games can only be run using an interpreter: A tool that takes each line of N64 code andby Arikado - Homebrew Applications
Is it open source?by Arikado - Homebrew General
@whodares It would be harder because supposedly some games for DS(i) will be played by having to use the camera.by Arikado - Homebrew General
QuoteaxelpaxelOf you could save data, gamesaves etc. to the SD, you could craft a fake gamesave like the twilight hack and something like the first post suggest. It's never too early to wish for something :) :) :) Phantom Hour Glass Hack? Lol. Anyways, downloadable content will probably be the first thing hacked. After that will come a homebrew hack. Unless we need a homebrew hack to iby Arikado - Offtopic
DS just got a lot harder to emulateby Arikado - Homebrew General
If you don't know what the DSi is, head here. Now then, the DSi has its own SD slot. It also some sort of a channel like interface. So perhaps it would be possible to make a ds homebrew channel. And then that could pave the way for better, easier to set up DS homebrew and maybe even finally lead the way to DS to Wii homebrew. Homebrew games and emulators that could be run on either the Dby Arikado - Offtopic
Downloaded and am currently playing episode 1. Hilarious. More story than gameplay so far, though.by Arikado - Offtopic
Games that do use the mic (with the exception of nintendogs and online chat) generally just detect air blowing through it. We could map that to a button. Also there's a little device called WiiSpeak coming out. The only (not really only, but easiest) way to make a quality emulator is to port a perfectly working one from the pc. It would be a little more work than most emulators, but itsby Arikado - Homebrew General
Interesting. I actually prefer the code format's brown background over the white background I'm looking at right now. Anyways, I support what you're doing to the forums. Please keep up the good work.by Arikado - Old Announcements
Heres a pic of what I got: codeformatbrownbackgorund EDIT: Sorry, you'll have to download the pic to view it.by Arikado - Old Announcements
Thats really, really, really wierd. I'm at home using internet explorer now and see a white background (only a couple days ago it was brown). Earlier, I posted from a different computer where I using firefox. When (if) I use it again tomorrow I'll show you my own screens. Didn't it seriously used to be brown though?by Arikado - Old Announcements
(triple post ftw) You know what? The code format background is brown in the latest version of firefox. However, on the latest version of internet explorer, its white. It used to be brown on the internet explorer. Since you're making changes, could it be brown on both? BTW I know that was probably offtopic. The code thing is also why I thought you may be making changes to how we post commeby Arikado - Old Announcements
What the heck? It was a white background the other day, I swear. Also, why can't I edit my posts in this topic?by Arikado - Old Announcements
I noticed the code formatting no longer has a brown background so I assumed there may be some difference in the way comments are posted. Code Format: Code Formatby Arikado - Old Announcements
Good idea. You could have made your own topic for your idea though.by Arikado - Homebrew Applications
Oh, I'll be watching. So what emulator are you using after all (wii or pc one?)?by Arikado - Offtopic
Like what your doing. Is anything else changing (color scheme, comment set-up)?by Arikado - Old Announcements
My bad, I thought that was an actual button. Also you could use HOME on the attatched wiimote to exit. So, its really only one button short. Furthermore, the best ps2 emulator right now is pcsx2 which can run games at 30-40 fps on the most top of the line pcs. So don't expect a console version to show up for quite some time.by Arikado - Offtopic
No, you're incorrect. HOME and the button in the middle of zl and zr make up for the lack of l3 and r3. Awkward? Yes. But there are enough buttons.by Arikado - Offtopic
Classic controller has all the buttons. Gamecube is one button short.by Arikado - Offtopic
Maybe they're not actively working on it. Look at this video of a psx emulator on wii by the same wii64 team. This video just got posted on september 8th: wiisx (psx emulator)by Arikado - Homebrew Applications
