Check your SD card. You should have a Genplus GX folder with the boot.dol in the SD:\Apps\ folder, and a Genplus GX folder, holding saves, roms, and cheats in the root of the SD card.by Mestizo - Getting Started
Well, it works... kinda. I just thoroughly tested Wii Shop now, remembering I've yet to re-download Tomena Sanner. First attempt, it couldn't contact the server (Turned out my router was busy with 2 computers, and one's wireless signal was closer to the Wii). Second attempt worked, downloaded Tomena Sanner to the SD card. Homebrew Channel's still functional, and so is Tomena Sby Mestizo - Getting Started
Since I know I won't be getting another Wii unless I personally buy another, since I have homebrew, I decided to go back to using GeckoOS. Alongside GeckoOS, is there any apps that can: Download cheat lists directly to the SD card without a PC Activate/deactivate codes Also, Brawl+'s website is down. Can anyone link the installer for the current build? EDIT: I installed Homeby Mestizo - Getting Started
Ok, but I used WiiSCU v0.21 instead of v0.24. Is that ok? Wii Shop Channel boots without a hitch, and I was planning on getting Jett Rocket and Zelda: Majora's Mask soon.by Mestizo - Getting Started
I haven't done the trucha bug at all, and only use HBC to play emulators. I also didn't install IOS 202, as I have no intention to use DVDs on my Wii (Only console I do that kind of stuff for is Dreamcast). Can you post a link to a guide on how to do a trucha bug and when to apply it (before/after 4.3)? EDIT: I seemed to have read that wrong. You seem to be saying that IOS 202 is alrby Mestizo - Getting Started
So, for people with 4.3, the current alternative for Homebrew Channel is to use LoadMii in Smash Stack?by Mestizo - Getting Started
After hearing that Smash Stack still works, I bought my cousin's copy of Super Smash Bros Brawl, as he was getting bored and frustrated of it. I'm still at 4.2, used WiiSCU (v0.21, the official one) to update the Wii Shop Channel. In the off-chance I update to 4.3 before Hackmii is available, I just have 1 question. Does Smash Stack only load one thing, or can I have multiple homebreby Mestizo - Getting Started
Your Wii is not bricked, as it seems functional. You had the SD card in your Wii as it was deleting the homebrew, which must have also deleted the same from the SD card. Your SD card needs to be re-formatted. Don't worry if you have any official channels in there; you can re-download them for free from the Wii Shop. Also, they're working on the Hackmii Installer for 4.3, but it willby Mestizo - Homebrew General

Well, the only way I know to copy a save state is to load a state and immediately save it to another slot.by Mestizo - Homebrew Applications
Quotebg4545QuoteMestizoIf he ran a disk through a loader, like GeckoOS, it would show in the play log as "Homebrew Channel". They see that, instant warranty void and instant return of unit. Are they really going to look at that though? Besides, the Wii is on 4.3, so there's no homebrew on it right now. If it shows up on the playlog, that means it was on there in the past. I'm not sure of where else to post this. Last night, I brought my Wii in the living room for an all-night game marathon with my sister, her boyfriend, and her friend. The next morning, I go to gather them (Wii, disk binder, 2 Wii Wheels, 2 remotes, 2 nunchucks, 2 classic controllers, a Gamecube controller, and a pistol attachment) together. When I picked up my disk binder, it was swarming wiby Mestizo - Offtopic
Quotebg4545Well since you've updated to 4.3, that means you don't have any homebrew, so you probably could send it to Nintendo for them to fix it or send you a new one. If he ran a disk through a loader, like GeckoOS, it would show in the play log as "Homebrew Channel". They see that, instant warranty void and instant return of unit.by Mestizo - FixMii
I believe the save states are saved as a separate file in the SD:\\saves folder. Look for something that's not a .SAV file (Those are SRAM, for actual save data) and delete it if you no longer need it. You cannot re-organize.by Mestizo - Homebrew Applications
I started with a plain 2GB Sandisk SD card, but found a 4GB SanDisk SDHC card on sale, and gave my old one to my cousin (after copying the homebrew, of course). SDHC will work, up to 32GB of space, on a Wii only if you meet the requirements, which are: FAT32 formatted On System Menu 4.0 or higher Of course, even without homebrew, a SDHC card is HIGHLY recommended for Wii, considering itby Mestizo - Getting Started
Don't transfer yet. Try toying around with the yellow cord in the video socket. Take it to some place you know would try to test it out (GameStop, Best Buy, Sears, etc) and see if they can find a solution. If you can get the system's video to show, then there's nothing to worry about. Most people who updated to 4.3 with Homebrew have not encountered any ills like this. My guessby Mestizo - FixMii
My sister's Nintendo 64 had the same problem. I tried almost everything I could think of, and determined the video output was fried. It died the same way your Wii did (She switched from Mario Kart 64 to Pokemon Puzzle League, and the system stopped working). Since your Wii would most likely have had homebrew (hence the reason why you're probably in the forum), you have no option but toby Mestizo - FixMii
QuotebrianQuoteJProctor666 Quit whining dude, you can pick up a new copy of LEGO Indy at your local Wal-Mart for just $20 or find a used copy on amazon.com for just $10 (plus s&h). Thanks for the advice. I walked over to Walmart and grabed one. It wasn't displayed, just stacked at the bottom of the case (they had 5 copies). Interesting gamestop wants $22 for it *used*. So, is there any chance of installing Homebrew Channel on 4.3?by Mestizo - Homebrew General
Is your Wii remote an official Nintendo-made Wii remote? I answered this before for someone asking about the Nyko Wand. Remotes that were made for Wii that were not distributed by Nintendo do NOT work in Homebrew Channel. Also, make sure you have a Wii MotionPlus out of the remote.by Mestizo - Homebrew General
QuoteArikado Bannerbomb and the Twilight Hack are not coming back. If there's gonna be a new HackMii, then why not a new Bannerbomb? Right now, all we have is Smash Stack and Indiana Pwns, and I can't afford Brawl and can't find Lego Indiana Jones.by Mestizo - Homebrew General
Since 4.3 completely replaces boot2 and IOS BootMii, all backups (of NAND and games) will NOT work. Do NOT update if you plan on keeping homebrew.by Mestizo - Homebrew General
Quoteblablabla123DO NOT UPDATE YOUR WII! It will delete bootmii/ios and bootmii/boot2 and the HBC. OR POSSIBLY BRICK YOUR WII People said that about 4.2. People only bricked if they had a chip in the Wii or lost power/fiddled with the Wii during the update process. It is illegal for a hardware developer to put code in an update that was designed to brick the unit. If they did, they'd haveby Mestizo - Homebrew General
According to the notes, the update will increase system performance (possibly no lag in online games). However, it will completely revert all Homebrew and delete them. It will remove BootMii as both Boot2 and IOS, blocking all Priiloader attempts, and fixes the security holes in all IOS. Pretty much, a homebrew killer. Do not update if you wanna keep your homebrew.by Mestizo - Homebrew General
First off, can your Wii boot up normally now? If it can, there's nothing you can do until Team Twiizers (possibly) releases a work-around to re-enable homebrew. If not, then at the moment, there's no choice but to get a new Wii (The update completely reverts both Boot2 and IOS BootMii, blocking all possibilities of a brick repair). For Homebrew, at the moment, the only methods that wby Mestizo - Homebrew General
Sorry, Shyllow, but at the moment, there is no way to work homebrew on 4.3.by Mestizo - Homebrew General
If Team Twiizers can't find a work-around by Sunday, I'm gonna just uninstall HBC. I only use it for emulators, anyway.by Mestizo - Homebrew General
It's a compatibility issue with the games. From what I saw, Paper Mario has flashing backgrounds, Conker's Bad Fur Day has really slow gameplay with shifting textures, Castlevania doesn't play at all. Just wait for an update.by Mestizo - Homebrew Applications
Ok, running it... EDIT: Ok, from my nerves up to the point where I almost puked in anticipation (and from the text on the screen flashing white, green, and purple), the update's done. It took a little lag booting up the channel page with the shop channel on it, but I now have HBC and Wii Shop.by Mestizo - Getting Started
