I was using Ocarina as an example... I don't think it would do... we would need a new app... but YOU ought to keep working on the translation!by DrLucky - Homebrew General
QuoteArikadoHeres a really easy way to get N64 wads on your 3.4 Wii: Buy them from the shop channel well, in all honesty, not many 64 games are on there.. also, why the need for the emulator then?by DrLucky - The Junkyard
hmmm... could WiiBrew have any legal repercussions if they released a "WAD installer" that bricked a wii when someone tried to install a VC game?by DrLucky - The Junkyard
if you are NTSC, use a game to update to 3.2... if not, use anyregion changer to update to 3.2by DrLucky - Homebrew General
I see what ampos is saying... couldn't a dev make a similar app that had the copy protection that Nintendo has to stop pirating? also, why can't we hard mod more space into the wii? Like a 2 gig flash space. and then soft mod the Wii to accept the extra space?by DrLucky - The Junkyard
It also needs to be in VB or some sort of 'C' programingby DrLucky - Homebrew General
QuoteArikadoOnly problem I see, is that in order to pull this off you'll need to run the game as a backup. Most people who would patch, probably wont own the original game. So I really don't support this type of work. that was my first thought too... but maybe it could be like a real time patch through a HB app! Like snes games... Ocarina cna do cheats, maybe a dev could create an "Oby DrLucky - Homebrew General
Mplayer, NOT MplayerWii I have the latest version, and it loopsby DrLucky - Homebrew Applications
dude, the HBC will stay on your Wii because it is a channel... if you have apps in the apps folder of your SD card, they won't be there for the HBC to run...by DrLucky - Homebrew General
hmm... not sure how many people from around here will know how to help, but I'll be looking forward to reading your progress!by DrLucky - Homebrew General
IDK, I kind of see whodare's issue here.. there are a ton of little kids getting on here trying to learn some pirating stuff... Maybbe it has something to do with the homebreware thing... those shoppers might be getting sent here to either find out about the illegal stuff, or the people that were making $$$ off of the HB are trying to piss us off...by DrLucky - The Junkyard
I think Mplayer will continue to play the same file over and over again...by DrLucky - Homebrew Applications
It isnt hard if you follow the directions...by DrLucky - Homebrew Applications
I'll just bring it up in the channel tools thread..by DrLucky - Homebrew General
QuotewhodaresA channel creator that won't be using WADs.... oh really? you can install channels without a wad? what would the package type be then? and what would we use to install it?by DrLucky - Homebrew General
but whodares is making a legal channel creator, so it will be cool in a little while, right now, installing wads is either for pirated VC games or custom channel, which SOMEHOW uses Nintendo code...by DrLucky - Homebrew General
hahaha... darn SD card keep reformatting on me......I can't develop anything... (I had an app that launches NASA spaceships through WiFi)by DrLucky - Offtopic
make sure that you have the newest HBC installer... the older ones wont work with 3.4!by DrLucky - Homebrew General
oh, have they released a PS2 emulator for a PC yet? I have 2 quad processors and 16gigs of ram... I think I'd qualify for it :)by DrLucky - Homebrew Applications

And is it possible to still install hombrew, I will be getting The twighlight princess and an sd card today, 3.2 is best (no blocks by Nintendo) but 3.3 will be fine. JUST DO NOT UPGRADE TO 3.4!by DrLucky - Homebrew General
there is ripping software for homebrew which, I beleive, works for GC discs too...one copies parts to an SD card, and the other over a WiFi.by DrLucky - Homebrew General
I have some working without the XML and image...by DrLucky - Homebrew General
I think because of the trucha sign in the install discs eliminates the possibility of a 3.3 or greater disc...by DrLucky - Homebrew General
so it wouldn't technically be an emulator, it would use the built in capabilities of the Wii?by DrLucky - Software
we certainly see your point, true, a legitimate backup, and not a copy, is perfectly legal. Unfortunately, there is not a way to distinguish between the 2 online. So, to prevent hassles with Nintendo, we do not teach how to play backups since it could be for pirating. We understand you completely.by DrLucky - Homebrew General
