@Mod: Can you edit greevedogg's post? Probably best to get this crap off hereby whodares - Getting Started

QuoteWiiCrazyIt's really slow in lz77 decompression lol, yeah, I did comment on that in my Banner Creator page on the Wiki. I was going to look into optimisations after everything was functional. QuoteWiiCrazyI'll touch that first tweaking the c# equivalent code and see if it helps in speed... I noticed too much uses of ByVals instead of ByRefs... and I guess rewriting the bitstreamby whodares - Homebrew General
Yeah, it usually takes some time to register friend codes. I think both participients have to have been online after the codes have been added at both sides so they can exchange data.by whodares - Offtopic
You could always seperate the FileTools into a VB.NET class library, then you can build a C# UI for it :-)by whodares - Homebrew General
Quotelostdwarfalso could install wads no problem, backups of my paid for vc games/wiiwaregames and custom wads like mplayer. You're on report, squire. Read the rules...by whodares - The Junkyard
Quotecomex Devil's advocate: int x = 0xed; char y = *((char *) &x); printf("%hhx\n", y); I stand corrected. :-)by whodares - Coding
hehe. Oh well... I had a good time too, thanks. When we get a few more Wiibrewer's codes, we should have a massive compo :-)by whodares - Offtopic
What happened to you on GBA Koopa Beach? You were like half a lap down at the endby whodares - Offtopic
None. The C++ language is the same, there's no syntax differences.by whodares - Coding
Says you're playing with friends, and I can't join :'( Thanks for the race Arikado... Next time tho, if one of us starts in a Worldwide Grand Prix, others can join that. That way you don't just run a 2 kart/bike race :-)by whodares - Offtopic
Now I remember why I hate Kart... 2 Blue shells in that race :-(by whodares - Offtopic
VB.NET is much better than VBScript, completely different. If I get time, I'll convert the code to C# for you The only difference between VB.NET and C# are the keywords. "this" becomes "Me", "static" becomes "Shared" etc.by whodares - Homebrew General
If it's Mario Kart, I'll dip in! My friend code is 4596-9599-6043 Here's my Brawl code, although I rarely load it up these days: 0731-6231-4196by whodares - Offtopic
QuoteLegend28469EDIT: Just got an idea... so in the 3.4 contract it does say about deleting files.. Such as the twilight hack.. so what IF i tried to put on the twilight hack and then i played and then i restarted my wii.. and its still there.. would that then mean that i am free from the 3.4 contract.. or would i be on 2 contracts or something (i'm confused :S)... because i would swear 3.2by whodares - Homebrew General
Please add it to the database under the correct sectionby whodares - Homebrew General
Technically, yes, you agreed to that change.by whodares - Homebrew General
Have you checked out this file since you've been on v3.4? As far as I can tell, this is the WC24 job list of what to update. I was wondering if v3.4 had added an entry, but I haven't upgraded, and nobody seemed willing to send me theirs.by whodares - Software
QuoteicefireI haven't looked at whodares's tools, I'll see whats possible. You wouldn't need my tools directly, all you'd need to do in your program would be accept another binary to fill the "banner" position (TMD reference, and to install it as content, I think that's all). Then somebody can supply it or not... Good luck on your installer, I'll be keeping aby whodares - Homebrew General
I've not officially dropped them, but my position can be read in this post Anybody is welcome to pick up my code and expand upon it, and I'll be available to assist if needed.by whodares - Homebrew General
As Akirado said, this isn't a modchip forum. We have no idea if your Wii will break if you update with your modchip attached. Hence why he closed your first post. That and the fact you were talking about pirating with a "non-original" copy of Twilight, which is forbidden on these forums.by whodares - The Junkyard
Twilight Firmwares? Anyway, what you need is Mario Galaxy, Kart, or Smash Bros Brawl to upgrade your machine to v3.1 or v3.2, then you should be able to use the Twilight hackby whodares - Homebrew General
Marcan has't released his toolset to the public (AFAIK) My partial toolset can be found here. This has TPL code in, not so much on the BRLAN and BRLYT files though, I'm afraid. The source will work with Microsoft's Visual Studio 2008 VB.NET Express install if you fancy playing with my app Doesn't really require a lot of low-level knowledge, you just have to muddle throughby whodares - Homebrew General
How about Artillery Duel? That's pretty straight-forward.by whodares - Coding
I've not checked the libogc for network functions, but if it has "Listen", "Connect", "Disconnect", "Send", and "Receive" functions (I'm sure it will have), you have everything you need. Easy way of doing a 2 player game is peer-to-peer. Player 1 starts up the game, and picks a "Start as Server" mode. (S)he'll need to know his/her internet IP address to send to their friend.by whodares - Coding
Does anybody know how licensed developers test their games? I doubt Nintendo would give them the private key, and I would imagine the test platform would still implement the security (in order to prove it meets the security standard). The only way I can think of, is that the development machines have a different "Nintendo" key, and they get that private key (knowing it would be useless to non-by whodares - Software
Well, considering it's for WiiBASIC, where you need to type, I wouldn't like to type a program in using the Wiimote :-( I've tried both libraries on the Wiibrew development page. Does anybody know of any others I can try?by whodares - Coding
I use for sharing files. I'd also love to hear some stuff, I want something for the intro to WiiBASIC, but I don't know how I want it to sound yet. You can find my email address in the Wiibrew Wiki Cheersby whodares - Coding
