I am having issues with this release of Wii64 and homebrew channel 1.08, as some others are. i cannot read roms from disc, as it always says i do not have dvdx 2, but it has always been this way for me (anyone know how to fix this?). i used to be able to read games from the root:wii64/roms folder on usb HDD, but now i cannot do that. it says that it cannot find the location. has anyone figureby Devinology - Homebrew Applications

i didn't mention any backups, I only mentioned usb loaders, which I was told are supported here. sorry for going overboard on the insults. just hate it when people make rude comments instead of being helpful, especially when they don't take the time to understand the context of the post.by Devinology - Getting Started

bg4545, thanks for the helpful info, I will feel more confident about this IOS now. winmaster, thanks for the unhelpful comment, you sure are a genius. if you actually understood the post you would understand that by "sketchy" I meant likely to be problematic, i.e. Wii bricking. there is absolutely nothing about usb loaders that can mess up a Wii. what do you use a hacked Wii for? google eby Devinology - Getting Started

not to pretend that I know a ton about this stuff, but somehow it sounds rather sketchy to be putting korean IOS's on an american Wii. you sure this has no potential to brick the Wii, possibly when other updates are made? also, perhaps he may have released some dangerous apps at times, but Waninkoko pioneered a lot of this Wii hacking stuff, and he started just about the most useful homeby Devinology - Getting Started

I am not familiar with using the Korean IOS41, I used to just use some program that would downgrade IOS15 and then restore it after restoring the Truchabug. I think it was wanako's, not sure now though. was I doing what you said without realizing it? should all the already established methods of TBR work after installing HBC with smash stack method?by Devinology - Getting Started

SifJar, you say it is pointless to downgrade, but I read that truchabug patch won't work on 4.3U, and I used to need that to run certain homebrew (I won't mention what for fear of banning). Please school me on this topic. Thanks.by Devinology - Getting Started

I may be walking on thin ice here, but I would love an answer to this question. Current Canadian and American law (as well as precident set by court rulings) states that it is perfectly legal to use devices you own to allow you to both create and use backup copies of games and other media you legally own. oops, sorry, I just read the forum rules about discussing backups and loaders and cIOS, etc. disregard my last post and please don't "bootmii" (haha) from the forum. I didn't think use of backups or system moodification was illegal if you are only playing backups of your own stuff, or using loaders to run video and music files from usb. in Canada it isn't illegal, hence whby Devinology - Homebrew General

I have a question that hasn't been asked yet which makes me think it may be taboo to ask here, but I will go ahead anyway and see what happens since it is really the only reason I want a modded Wii.
