Keep in mind WiiMC (the homebrew Wii Media Channel) has YouTube functionality as well, and uses a lot less memory blocks--only 15 as opposed to over 100 blocks for the official YouTube channel.by DonsSword - Homebrew General

WiiMC needs an IP address and a shared directory. Your NAS software should have some kind of support for that. It can stream right off of your computer too, with no lag effects to either device. Its one of my favorite and most used Homebrew apps.by DonsSword - Homebrew Applications

Anyone looking at updating Wii2600 to Stella 3.6.1? I ask, as there is always activity in the Atari homebrew community, and someone just came out with a Star Castle homebrew that requires 3.6.1, and its yummy: This is a different ROM from the one by the developer who works at High Voltage--he never released his ROM which caused much wailing and nashing of teeth in the 2600 community, so aby DonsSword - Homebrew Applications

I have searched the internet far and wide, and have not found my answer, so I am going to ask: Does anyone know the controls for the Wii homebrew King of Fighters Flames of Courage? Which KOF game does this most closely match too? Yeah, I have been getting this too since the updated from 2.2.2 to 2.2.4, I'm getting a lot of Stack Dumps both in game, and in the emulator menu, specifically the ROM list. Hi ThatNoobyGuy. The issue with your request is that the majority of existing/available tools for making Wii Channels contain copyrighted code from Nintendo, and thus are not discussable within the WiiBrew.org community--its strictly against community policy to use Nintendo code to create software. I just found the fix--there is a known issue with Kool-Aid Man. AtariAge.com forum member Nukey Shay has made a Supercharger Hack that should fix this. I don't know how compatible Wii2600 is with Supercharger games--I can't test it at the office, but I will try later this weekend. Does not work on the PC/Mac either. Holy shnikys that was the most annoying thing I have ever heard or seen in a emulated game failing to work. Its like salt in your eyes and a pencil in your ear at the same time... okay, maybe not that bad, but it did make me utter expletives and then shut it off immediately. Hi scoobydude51. Interesting post about your bug. A lot of the replies to your original post are because you did not supply a lot of detail for people to reproduce the bug. So can this transfer be done remotely, thru some sort of VNC by Nintendo, or does Nintendo physically need to have both your consoles at a repair service center? If I have my Wii linked with my Nintendo Club account, does that make it easier? I have avoided buying WiiWare because I have a general dislike of non-portable software. I took a chance last night and updated. The only documentation I could find from Nintendo was that the channel update supports the 3DS, which makes no sense, but I took a chance anyhow. No ill effects as of yet. Homebrew Channel launches fine. Homebrew Browser launches. SNES9X-GX played fine. Wii2600 played fine. Been using the wonderful WiiXplorer to manage my SD card whenever I get too lazy to walk over to my computer to dig thru my directories--I love this app. The challenge I am having is that I would really like to have rumble permanently off when I am in WiiXplorer. There is an options/settings menu where I can turn it off, but every time I relaunch WiiXplorer the change I made is gone, and I have gby DonsSword - Getting Started

Sounds like it doesn't recognize your SD card. Physically remove the card and put it back in--maybe its not seated properly. Could the "lock" switch on your SD card be shifted? Have you recently reformatted your card?by DonsSword - Getting Started

I reloaded my laptop backup files to the SD card I formatted in my camera and everything has turned out great! Everything works. WiiEarth is still hosed, and I have not had time to mess with Super Mario Wars yet, but the browser and other homebrew games I downloaded seem to be working fine. I am going to stick with the latest version of HBC and HBC with my Wii 4.3U and just bide my time waiting fby DonsSword - Getting Started

The camera was the good hook-up for reformatting. I am convinced there is no successful way to reformat for FAT16 via Mac. Neither of the 2 command line solutions out there worked completely. Next, I need to mess around with moving files from my laptop "SD card back-up Dir" onto my SD card to see if everything works again. RRRRRR... I am finding out all sorts of stuff about Mac SD card formatting for FAT 16. Its a mess. I am trying 2 diff solutions at the command line (I'll document here later), and neither will give me a card recognized by my Wii. EDIT: More stuff found, all a mess. There is a software tool available form Panasonic that can reformat it correctly, but of course it is a Windows app. Eby DonsSword - Getting Started

Fortunately I back up everything to another drive before I wiped the SD Card, with the intention of redownloading all my apps via the HBB and them dropping the ROMs on via my computer. I'll attempt a reformat to the specs mentioned, but I am not sure DiskUtility in 10.6 will allow me to do precisley as you specificed--I'll have to look around a bit to confirm. To debug some app "hanging" issues, I decided to reformat my SanDisk for Wii 2 GB SD Card, using Mac OS 10.6 Disk Utility. I reformatted my SD card to MS-DOS Fat 32. My intention was to reinstall everything fresh and see what sort of performance I get--I was looking for less black screens and more stability. Noob questions about black screens and other freezes - 14 years ago
I've just installed HBC and HBB for the first time on Wii Sys 4.3 using Indiana Pwns. I'm really enjoying how polished the apps are--a big thank you to the WiiBrew community for all your hard work--its awesome and a blast to toy with.
