Savemii will not help you. If you have a working NAND backup from your wii, your wii's keys, or your wii is old enough to install Bootmii as boot2, you can fix it with a hardware NAND programmer. However, since the brick was caused by a failed update, Nintendo will fix it for free. They won't be able to tell that you have homebrew. You could use the cIOS Patchmii Installer. If you are on system menu 4.2, you will need to run it twice. The first time it will remove the stub IOS 249, it will install cIOS the second time. Or, you could use Dop-IOS Mod to trucha patch the appropriate IOS for the Gecko OS rebooter. Then that would work.by jbc007 - Homebrew Applications

The Bootmii files will not help you without Bootmii installed as boot2. If you have to launch Bootmii from the Homebrew Channel and it does not appear when you turn on the wii, it is installed as IOS, not as boot2. By the way, did you ever downgrade your wii from 4.0 or higher or install a stub IOS 50? Doing either of these things would cause the brick. If you did neither of these things, tby jbc007 - FixMii

Do you know what region your wii was changed to? I'm assuming that it's PAL. The idea of repairing a wii in this manner has come up a few times before, and, as far as I know, no one has gotten it to work. There are a number of issues, such as configuring the chip to autoboot and possibly region convert the game (normally, a Drivekey (a good chip for this sort of repair) is configuredby jbc007 - FixMii
It may be possible to use a mod chip to autoboot and region convert an NTSC-U Brawl game. From there, Smash Stack could be used to boot the appropriate homebrew to fix the wii. However, I am not certain whether any mod chips are capable of doing this. Even if it can be done, it will not be easy.by jbc007 - FixMii
Your have a region changed Korean wii; that is why it bricked. Unfortunately, this issue is nearly impossible to fix.by jbc007 - FixMii
Bushing has a Korean wii. He mentioned it a few times on HackMii. Anyway, based on this, it is possible to install the Homebrew Channel on a Korean wii after installing the appropriate IOSes. I doubt that the region change is necessary; however, you can region change it if you want. Still, it is better not to since if you update a region changed Korean wii, it will brick with a 003 error.by jbc007 - Getting Started
If you want to update, perform an official update. Unless you know what you are doing, updating with homebrew tools is likely to brick your wii or cause other problems. The update will not remove the latest homebrew channel. You can do anything you want with an LU64+ wii except downgrade IOSes. Your wii can't run IOSes released before October 23 2008. If it's just an IOS issue, you could use Dop-IOS Mod to trucha patch IOS 36. Then run Dop-IOS Mod on IOS 36 and install IOS 30 version 1040. Or if your wii is newer, you may need to install a newer IOS, such as the latest version of IOS 34. After doing that, the Hackmii Installer may work.by jbc007 - Getting Started
I don't know what is causing the problem with restoring the trucha bug. You can try loading the game with Gecko OS. It will either fail to load, or it will tell you that it needs to install an IOS for the game and offer to install it. If it offers to install the IOS, let it install it and the game will work properly, whether you load it from Gecko or the disc channel.by jbc007 - Getting Started
It updated boot2 already, so there is nothing remaining in the update that could brick your wii. All that remains are some IOSes. You should restart the update and let it install them.by jbc007 - Homebrew General

The boot2 update is the cause of these bricks. It will be included in every future update. However, it has actually bricked a very small portion of the wiis that received it, so it is safe enough to update. Besides, Nintendo will replace your wii for free if it is bricked by an update. Go ahead and delete Bootmii IOS; it isn't very useful. If you update, Bootmii as boot2 will be removed, but you can reinstall it if you ever want it. Really, you don't need to delete anything before updating. The only homebrew related thing that you can do that will cause the update to brick your wii is region change a Korean wii.by jbc007 - Homebrew General
Because Bootmii as boot2 provides the best possible brick protection and it doesn't cause any problems if you don't use it, so you gain nothing by deleting it. The only reason to delete it is if you are sending your wii to Nintendo for repair. Edit: Nintendo will see Bootmii if you send it in since it causes the drive slot light to blink. Until recently, Nintendo did repair wiis with homebrew, they just deleted the homebrew. I'm surprised it took them this long to change their policy. Piracy is probably a large part of the problem.
