It also gets explained by Bushing & Marcan with a nice, albeit problematic (you'll see), slide show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyVuY_S5VcI&feature=PlayList&p=72658A55B19C8634&index=0 Unfortunately, I forget how far into the video(s) it is. Either way, this should practically be considered "required reading" if you are wanting to start to learn. Enjoy!by PhoenixTank - Getting Started

QuotearasiumOk, so now (in eclipse 3.4) there is a remote debugger with the CDT. I haven't install Zylin and it works (except when i want to detach the debugger). I can configure it in "local application" debug. There is a drop down list to choose the debug method. We can use the Gdbserver one nd it works. Ah-ha! I spent far too long looking for something like that. Nice to know it is theby PhoenixTank - Coding
I think it depends on what specifically you need. Simplest would be libwiisprite, and then you have libwiigui for gui components, and grrlib has some powerful functions (see the demo) A search on the wiki will get you the info on each library.by PhoenixTank - Coding

They're all in the libogc SVN, speewave. Just check out, make & make install and you are good to go.by PhoenixTank - Coding
Having a look into this myself. Will report back with instructions if I get anywhere. Hopefully the info here makes it straight forward enough.by PhoenixTank - Coding
Yeap, it was an impulse buy. Something like that. All I know is that I have a libwiigui based app; debugs without issues up until it is waiting for user input, and then is unresponsive. I guess it is just a case of adding a break point within that loop. I think I remember it being less of an issue if you "stepped in" until that point as opposed to using "cont" or the GUI's resume.. Not surby PhoenixTank - Coding
As far as I am aware, there is no built in remote debugger for C/C++ in Eclipse, hence the use of the Zylin plug-in. If that is not the case, do let me know... but it doesn't seem to be a part of the default CDT install. Essentially, the set up is the Zylin plug in, using the CDT debugger GUI. Yeah, I have had to kill the GDB process many times. Try using "detach"... works somewhat well.by PhoenixTank - Coding

You could try more/better cooling, but it seems to be a hardware defect that gets brought up initially by overheating, or otherwise intolerance to high points of expected temps. I don't think it is reversible... but I have had no hands on with this. Most people that I knew with the issue just sent the thing in for repairs, but they didn't homebrew at all. Your call there.by PhoenixTank - FixMii
Well, it sounds like a hardware issue with the GPU overheating like this, but you mentioned that it doesn't appear in games at all? If the issue only appears when playing a DVD with mplayer CE, for example, then that is pretty normal. My £20 DVD player does a far better job of playing DVDs, in honesty, whereas mplayer CE is kinda blocky at times, and the colour is a little off.by PhoenixTank - FixMii

No, you are still very much confused, speewave. FTP is a protocol, like HTTP, NTP etc. A LAN (whether it be Ethernet or Wifi) is a just a type of connection between two or more computers/devices. An ADSL connection to the internet is another type of connection, same with cable, or Fibre Optic. To put it very bluntly, protocols like FTP (in the application layer) do not give a rat's assby PhoenixTank - Ideas, requests

Been out of action for a few days (myself and my computer), but finally managed to get on here again. Made some changes as per the thread and reorganised a little. Thanks for the tip on the binary parser, Arasium. The guide does instruct you to use -O0, though. Just recompiled with the latest SVN & patch applied, iofthestorm; worked fine though I didn't test beyond a compile.by PhoenixTank - Coding

You can update before or after installing HBC with relatively little affecting homebrew, but please don't downgrade - The guides never do exactly what they are supposed to. And yes, use bannerbomb.by PhoenixTank - Getting Started
QuoteiofthestormOK, I'm going through it right now. One thing I just noticed is that you have one thing that could be done a little bit better in the makefile part. You mentioned that it's a good idea to add the command make before using wiiload, which is sensible but slightly inefficient. If you just add a dependency to the run target, like the following: run: $(OUTPUT).dol wiilby PhoenixTank - Coding

RS2 is gearing up to be a worthy purchase, though I can't help but feel burned after the first game =/ It does look like Ubisoft are doing their best to improve. They talked to Retro Studios (Metroid Prime Trilogy) for advice on the shooting element this time, and the hands on videos make me want more. Love the setting and look. NSMB Wii?
