Ok for the memory map. I'm ok for the bad blocks. But in fact, what are you're experiences? Do you generally use blocks of 1024 or higher?by arasium - Coding
Hi, i need to download large files over the network. I read the stream by 100 bytes. It's very slow. So i can increase the block size but that means i will also increse my temp buffer. Do you have an idea about the good ratio? What is the wii memory limit (64 Mbit i guess)?by arasium - Coding
Ok, if the coprocessor aren't wii specifics, i will find what i want. Thank you.by arasium - Software
I'm trying to understand the ios code. But i have some problems with coprocessors. For example: MCR p15, 0, R0,c7,c5 What is the coprocessor 15 and what are c7, c5? Is there any documentation about that on wiibrew?by arasium - Software
Like i said, it was because you had an other make program on your pc. And it's path was defined before your devkitpro bin folder in the %PATH% environement variable. When you've formatted your hard drive, you've also erased the other make program and you know have a clean %PATH% variable...by arasium - Coding

Sorry if this is the wrong section. But i've checked between the sysmenu 3.2E and 4.0E and the X are the same. The boot index is 8. So if the 100000008.app is still here, i will have a pb because te preloader doesn't check if the 00000008.app and 100000008.app are the same (he can't do that, because he can't detect if the 00000008.app is the sysMenu or a previous version ofby arasium - Coding
I've installed the preloader a long time ago. Then i've updated my sysmenu to 4.1. Now i want to reinstall the preloader but perhaps i will have a pb. The preloader move the boot 0000000x.app to 1000000x.app and replace the 0000000x.app by himself. But when i've installed the new system menu, i've overrided the 0000000x.app (all is ok at this point) but what about theby arasium - Coding
You have an other C++ compilator in your PC (for example Borland). The make used is the one of your other compilator. Check your %PATH% variable and you should have the path of devkitpro/devkitppc/bin before the path of your other compilator.by arasium - Coding
ok, thank you. It is exactly what i need :) I will do some tests with thatby arasium - Coding
Yes i can put it on a thred, but it isn't very good. It will consume cpu time. And i'm pretty sure that there is a hardware interupt when a device is pluged. It's that interupt that i want catch. @tueidj: can you tell me what function i need to use for the usb. i've search it in header files and i've not found it.by arasium - Coding
Tantric, you solution is ok if i need to test the sd. But me i want to be alerted whn the sd in inserted/remove (the goal is to automatically mount/unmount the file system) tueidj, i will inspec in that way. And what about the usb, is there a similar ios call?by arasium - Coding
Hello, how can i detect the sd insertion (like in the HBC)? I've searched some callback functions, but i haven't found anything.by arasium - Coding
If i understand what you say, you have developped a wii app that display file on the monitor. And you just want to close the file after you've displayed it?by arasium - Offtopic
Hello, i've read some source code about dol loader, and i often read some things about BSS (bss_start, bss_size)!!! But, what is bss exactly?by arasium - Coding
I haven't done this simple test :) But here is the code i will put in it: u64 pune=0; while(1) { __io_wiisd->startup(); fatMountSimple("sd", __io_wiisd); fatUnmount("sd"); __io_wiisd->shutdown(); void* blablabla = malloc(256); if(!blablabla)break; free(blablabla); printf("."); pune++; } printf("\nthere is no memory left after %d sd card inits", pby arasium - Coding
Hi, i think i've found a bug in libfat. I need to read/write a lot of file on the sd card. My option is to Mount/Unmount the sd card every time i use/unuse it. After a long time, my memory is full (malloc return me null). The other option is to Mount the sd at the beginning only. With this method, all is fine. So i think there is a memory leak in the libfat mounting/unmounting syby arasium - Coding
It is for C/C++ (you have to adapt it to use it with c projects, i've don't do this, because i only use c++). Then, it isn't a project. I've done this to identify some bugs in my projects. I only use this code when i want to debug my projects. Then, you can't compare my code to the STL or Boost. They are framework, but my code is just a little piece of code :) Iby arasium - Coding
giantpune: ok, the source code of memoryleak is in c++. So, you need to put the two struct definitions in the cpp file. Then use externe "c" {} in the header file to declare the secured function. Then it should be ok. Thanks Crayon, i will take a look.by arasium - Coding
whar are the errors ? Because i've also found some errors when i use it with the string class (i don't know why..., perhaps this is due to macro in string header). I will upload a file i use in my project (it does'nt work if you use the string class). I can compile with that (using the last rev of devkitpro) Then, i will modify the code to correct this bug.by arasium - Coding
mmmmh, have you read my source code before asking that? I've publish the source code, you're free to read it before use it. Why are you so suspicious? To detect buffer overflow, it is very simple. I've overriden all allocator functions, so when you need memory, i reserved more space than needed (a little aera before to add some info, like the file name where the allocator isby arasium - Coding
Ok ok, i will do that :)by arasium - Coding
Hello everybody, i've made a little code to detect memory leak and buffer overflow/underflow. To do that, i've redefined/overwritten malloc, free, memalign and the c++ oprator new, new[], delete and delete[]. You can use this code in c or c++ apps (i use precompiler conditions). To use this code, you just need to put #include "memoryleak.h" at the beginning of your code fileby arasium - Coding
Try with that: It works for me (you still need to recompile the entire libogc)by arasium - Coding
Thanks wiipower. I will try this method on a virgin wii (aka with the latest ios36)by arasium - Coding
Hi everybody, is it possible to list the ios installed on the wii and their revisions? I know we can do that with an old ios36 but i want to do that with a simple wii. I mean a 4.2 wii with only the HBC (i don't want to support any cios).by arasium - Coding
