I've read that when we reload an IOS, all the file in the /tmp directory are deleted. Is it the same if we shutdown/init ISFS? And, have we to shutdown the ISFS before reloading an IOS (like with WPAD)? Thanxby arasium - Coding
Ok, so it is possible to load library at startup (it's what i need :)) if i've enough symbols in the package i want to load. I know that the .elf contains these symbols, but does the .dol contain these symbols? I will try to create a sample plugin application, i hope i will succeed :) Thank you to all of you.by arasium - Coding
QuoteCloneDeathNonono! I wasn't like "challenging" him to argue about it, I meant, did he really want to distract from the topic of answering his question and change the thread to what it should be called. Ok, so, excuse me :) I've an other idea to simulate shared objects. We can create forwarders to elf homebrews. But, the elf format contains the symbols of the package. So, can weby arasium - Coding
QuotepuntoActually "shared" is correct, that's why on all unix systems the extension is .so instead of .dll (stands for Shared Object). Only n00b windows users call them DLLs (like saying "folder" instead of directory). Oooooh, when i've read some of the responses, i thought i were a silly man :) I'm not very familiar with unix system (but, i known what is a shared library) so iby arasium - Coding
I've read somewhere that the usb cios won't be recognize if DVDx isn't installed on it (on this cios). So, they say that we need to use the old installer (the one with the advanced intallation mode). Is it right?by arasium - Getting Started
QuoteCloneDeathbased on his previous posts, I conclude he is not a native english speaker, or he is 10 years old. Seeing as a 10yo can't program, he probably doesn't speak english. I think if you look at "shared" library, the closest thing would be a DLL... I think... or maybe he wants to know how to "share" a library... anyone else wanna try and interpret him? A simple question. Is it possible to create shared libraries on wii? If your answer is yes, how can i do? Thank youby arasium - Coding
Yes, it's an error in my copy past!!! Of course, i use the stl vector :by arasium - Coding
Sorry, the Pause function just wait until the user push the A button. It's a simple loop with a if condition on the pad to break the loop. It isn't the vector that create the bug. I've used the standard libraries (opendir, closedir, readdir) and the vector is ok with these functions. To add, the vector implementation comes from the stl, and i hope the stl doesn't contain thby arasium - Coding
I've made some others tests, and i think that problem comes from libfat. You can see my explanation here. Thank you for your helps.by arasium - Coding
Hi, recently i've encountered some errors with libfat and vectors. After some tests, it seems that errors come from libfat. Here is my simple test: __io_wiisd.startup(); fatMountSimple("sd", &__io_wiisd); DIR_ITER *dir = diropen("sd:/"); char directoryName[256]; struct stat directoryStat; vector< string > vect; while(!dirnext(dir, directoryName, &directoryStat)) {by arasium - Coding
ok. So i will make simple tests and i will give you my results :) thank you.by arasium - Coding
Ok, i've used the debuuger and the bug occured when we call the push_back function. It seems that the programme bug at this point in stl_vector.h: void push_back(const value_type& __x) { if (this->_M_impl._M_finish != this->_M_impl._M_end_of_storage) // it loops on this line!!! { this->_M_impl.construct(this->_M_impl._M_finish, __x); ++thisby arasium - Coding
you mean that i need to use vector::reserve before including an element? or do I need to construct the vector like this "vector vect(15);"?by arasium - Coding
QuotePhoenixTank Ah-ha! I spent far too long looking for something like that. Nice to know it is there, but I still actually prefer the Zylin plug-in. Why on Earth is it under "Local Application"? :| That baffles me. Lol, yes, it takes me some time to find where this option were in eclipse. The use of "Local Application" isn't appropriate :) I will take a look to Zylin, because, the classiby arasium - Coding
ok, so i've made a coding error! If someone can help me to find it, because i don' see where the error is! I will try with a dinamic vector (with new) of pointers instead of objects.by arasium - Coding
I don't understand what you mean. The heap isn't enough large to allow the use of vectors?by arasium - Coding
Ok, so now (in eclipse 3.4) there is a remote debugger with the CDT. I haven't install Zylin and it works (except when i want to detach the debugger). I can configure it in "local application" debug. There is a drop down list to choose the debug method. We can use the Gdbserver one nd it works.by arasium - Coding
I don't know, because i haven't change anything (i've just swith off my wii, removing the power cable). But, it seems that i've e real problems with the vector class because today i've an other error. It occurs in the push_back method of the vector class. Here is my source code:by arasium - Coding
When i use a vector, i've a dsi exception. Is there a bug on the stl? Here is my code: int main(int argc, char **argv) { //--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- // Initialise the video system VIDEO_Init(); vmode = VIDEO_GetPreferredMode(NULL); xfb = MEM_K0_TO_K1(SYS_AllocateFramebuffer(vmode)); VIDEO_Configure(vmode); VIDby arasium - Coding
My debugger doesn't disconnect very well. Sometimes, i've to kill the gdb process!! And when i've a code dump, i can't do anything debugging over wifi!by arasium - Coding
I, do you have a problem when gdb stop? Me, muy eclipse alway bugging and i've an alert window (i close it and all is ok, but i want to avoid this alert). I've read that you install Zylin! Me i use the classic CDT debugger. So, do you use the Zylin debug tools or the CDT classic debug tools?by arasium - Coding
I'm ok with you, I only need the IOS36 with the trucha bug, but i don't know how to install it (i want to create my own IOS36 downgrader). I've tried to install it directly, but i can't. So i've search a way to do that and i didn't find any source code!by arasium - Ideas, requests
I've read this topic and i still have questions aboit 4.0 virgin wii! So, is it possible to use FS Toolbox to modify the IOS36 version number or do we nned a trucha ios first? If we need a trucha ios, we can use the ios35 downgrader. But how does it work? I've made some search about modifying the ios version number with CMDVDX34 and i haven't found anything (i've found gby arasium - Ideas, requests
It's not what i mean. I don't care about Nintendo! Actually, the preloader is running under an IOS (i think it's the ios60 if you are in 4.0). So i'm thinking about writing an ios with mini (for exemple IOS253) and use it to run the preloader. So then, we can modify the IOS60 without any problem of brick (and also, add an option to load the bootMii without using the HBC).by arasium - Ideas, requests
I've an idea than can help people than can't use bootMii as boot2. So, it's based on preloader. Actually, the preloader use an IOS (I don't know which IOS is used but it doesn't matter). So my idea is to create an IOS with the mini framework and use it with a new preloader. Then, we can add an option to the preloader to launch directly bootMii without using the HBC.by arasium - Ideas, requests
Yes, I've take a look to create a plugin and it's very difficult :) The documentation is so useless :) For the moment, i'm using a template but it doesn't works on Vista (perhaps eclispe still have some problems with Vista).. You have forgotten some important points in your article. The first is that you need tu use the -oO option a the compilation and no -o1 or -o2 ....by arasium - Coding
Thank you PhoenixTank :) So i will use it instead of the ISFS :)by arasium - Coding
catch(...) doesn't do that? I'm not a pro in C++ :)by arasium - Coding
:) Yes, of course :) I don't need some special ios to write on sd card?by arasium - Coding
