Is it normall for sin(x) and cos(x) to be extreamly inaccurate. I'm trying to use them in a program I'm making and something wasn't working, so i told the program to just print the values to screen. Compared to the values my Calculator gave me the wii answers were completly off. I also made a quick sample program on windows, and they values were also off. Wii: sin(25) =by g_man - Coding
You shouldn't need any of that stuff. Don't install anything if you don't know what it does. Other than that, you are good. Have fun with homebrew :)by g_man - Getting Started
This would take an expert programmer to make and chances are it wouldn't be very good. Look at wii64, it is a n64 emu and it still doesn't work correcty. It just isn't plasible, sorry :)by g_man - Offtopic
It isn't that hard to make an onscreen keyboard with libraries. It also wouldn't be too hard to make a custom one with only numbers.by g_man - Homebrew Applications
Ok, I finally found where my problem is. It is somewhere in these 10 lines of code. if(opendir("SD:/apps")){ //If the apps folder exists dp = opendir("SD:/apps"); while((ep = readdir(dp))){ dircounter++; strcpy(path,"SD:/apps/"); strcat(path,(ep->d_name)); applist.setDir(path); } closedir(dp); } the same value is in every applist.setDir(). That value is also the last vby g_man - Coding
Ok i'll try that, but i tryed patching it and everything worked fine so now i just have to learn to use gdb.by g_man - Coding
You are and will be fine as long as you wait and do what MattMan said you will be fine. if you have system menu version <4.1 there should be a game with menu 4.1 by now. otherwise just wait, maybe try bannerbomb and the twilight hack again. Good Luckby g_man - Homebrew Applications
That seems like a problem with the controller. I know that on the n64 is you held any direction down wi=hile the game was loading you would keep moving in that direction. When you switch back to the sys menu the controller was reset and the problem was fixed. Try it again without touching the controller at startup. If that doesn't work reinstall HBC. 100th message :)by g_man - Homebrew General
you could get a linux Live CD, and apply all your patches from there, but that might get annoying after a while.by g_man - Offtopic
Try installing DJGPP on windows go to command line and type gcc if it says gcc: no input files then restart Cygwin and type gcc it should say the same, If it does your good. if it doesn't say it on windows then you did something wrong. Then you could install Dev-cpp, which uses gcc for it's compiler, and everything should work.by g_man - Offtopic
AFAIK there are 2 ways you can make sure this works. 1: Check the systems path (enviromental variable PATH), and make sure that one of the locations points to gcc.exe 2:Reinstall Cygwin one more time. and when it asks you what porgrams to install select gcc and c librarys. You also might be able to fine your other apps. As for no compiler. When you make a program, you have to compile it. Becby g_man - Offtopic
I also use Avast, It works really well and is free! :)by g_man - Offtopic
Get a book, there are a lot easier than reading an online tutorial.by g_man - Offtopic
We should create a package like the scam ones, and just like to the wiibrew homepage.by g_man - Getting Started
Do you have devkitPRO, you need that. Read tutorials at codemii.com. Start out with the hello world example from the devkitPro examples directory, build your way up from there. Make a few easy programs first. Like ones the count up and stop when you A and then resume when A is hit, to get the hang of it. Then start using libwiigui.by g_man - Coding
Ok, this will work if you are using windows this will work, and it will probably also on any other machine. find the root devkitpro dir. It is probably C:\devkitpro, then go to libogc, then you see 2 folders include and libs, Now open the dependencies file and move the files in the include directory to the include file in devkit pro. do the same with libs. now take the libwiigui source folder anby g_man - Coding
Ok, I'll try that, I've never debugged something before :( but it can't be that hard. As soon as i get this fixed i have this problem and one on deleting files with data still in them and i should be good with my program. :) EDIT:OK, I'm having a lot of trouble compileing the patched version of libogc. The tcpipwifi.c file doesn't compile in the makefile, and so the mby g_man - Coding
That didn't seem to do anything. My other idea is that it is taking really long for the wii to go through the for loop, but i really don't think that's the problem.by g_man - Coding
Okay, so when i take this code out my program works fine, it shows what it is supposed to, but when the code is added in, it just shows black. When i hit the 1&2 buttons on the controller they flash, but i don't see why it doesn't work. I haven't worked with XML files ever before and i follower the tutorial at codemii.com. here is the code that doesn't work /* First We hby g_man - Coding
I personally don't like the jpeg example, try using a graphics library. For example GRRLIB if ou are using C, and libwiisprite if you are using C++. The current jpeg loading code is very confusing. If you need help, check through some source code, many people use hands for pointers and chances are you can understand one of theres.by g_man - Coding
Sorry this is taking so long to reply, i've been gone for 2 weeks, but anyway, I still have the same problem, even with the code you told me to add Here it is: i = 3;//Replace the pictues tester = 3; for(y=30;y<480;y+=(48+30)){ for(x=28;x<640;x+=(128+25)){ if(applist.getOver() == false){ // If the mouse is not of the picture applist.appspr.SetStretchWidth(1); // Set Strby g_man - Coding
He meant app files, Copy them to the apps folder on an SD card. You can download apps for free here: wiibrew.org I would recomend the homebrew browser, it makes it easier to install apps. The final path to the apps should be this: SD:/apps/app_name/boot.dol OR SD:/apps/app_name/boot.elf NOTE: Wiibrew.org is currently down, but you can get the homebrew browser here: Codemii.comby g_man - Getting Started
I really like it. The only thing is that the button bet - bet +, ect are a little too small, try putting them across the side, or top, or something.by g_man - Homebrew Applications
Try it again without downloading all of the apps at the same time, the exception thing is not something you can really control, just a bug in the appby g_man - Homebrew Applications
Ok, I'm using libWiiSprite, and im trying to load a picture for each app in the apps folder, but what ends up happening is that in prints in the right locations, but it only shows one picture, the last one. For Example: if the files were in this order: homebrew browser ftpii quake it would only show the quake picture. So, I checked my path to the picture and it is all the same pathby g_man - Coding
