Those of us in North America are finally getting Club Nintendo, as it's been revealed during the fall press conference that Nintendo will be bringing the service to us. QuoteDrLuckyHow does the Wii (or any system for that matter) tell the difference between an original and a copy? The backups are exact backups... Don't quote me on this, but I think it's that the official games use a certain type of disc that is not publicly available, and also the way that the disc is burned.by bg4545 - Homebrew General

QuoteploggyHello all, I bought a Dragon psx adapter to use on my Wii or Xbox (it has two ends. :) One that plugs into a GC and one that plugs into the Xbox) It works perfectly when plugged into the Xbox and the same for the GC but when trying to put it in the GC port of the Wii nothing happens. :( I tried it on all the current Emulators but they're not recognising it. Does it get recognizby bg4545 - Homebrew General
Quotedaniel_c_wI am saying that all games use one emulator (per system, except the N64) - I am not saying that one emulator supports all games (per system). You just reversed what I said. You can assume, that the SNES emulator did not support Super Mario RPG, but is updated, when you downlaod a game that requires an updated emulator. so you mean that every game uses the same emulator, but with sby bg4545 - Homebrew General
QuotewhodaresAs for injecting, I can cite several reasons why they might not work: 1. Nintendo and/or the authors of the emulators explicitly added something to the emulator to break on loading a different ROM (wouldn't be too hard to add a checksum on the game content into the emulator) 2. The original game required some slight tweaks to the emulator in order to run, but as a consequence,by bg4545 - Homebrew General
Quotedaniel_c_wHow does that show, that all wads have an emulator? You said that all other systems only use one emulator per system, but if that were true, you could inject any rom into any game I'm just saying Super Mario RPG had its own emulator because of the SA-1(?) chipby bg4545 - Homebrew General
Quotedaniel_c_wAfaik that is only true for N64 games. All other systems only use one emulator per system. No, then all the injected games that are not N64 would work, which they don't. For example, Super Mario RPG for the SNES could not be injected to any .wads.by bg4545 - Homebrew General
Here you go, I hope you guys like 'em: See them hereby bg4545 - Homebrew Applications
well each vc .wad has the specific emulator for that game, for example the emulator for super mario 64 won't work as well with any other game. Thats why injecting roms doesn't always work.by bg4545 - Homebrew General
Well, since I usually have nothing to do, I figured I'd take requests for making icons. You can see the ones I've already made here. Make requests either here, or on my talk page.by bg4545 - Homebrew Applications
you put apps in their own folder so on the root of the SD you have a folder called "apps" In the "apps" folder you have the different folders containing the boot.elf/boot.dolby bg4545 - Homebrew General

QuotepimpsahoyQuotelizard81288is there a list or something for the ones that need to be converted? No, you just need to go through your SD card and find the elf files yourself. for ocarina you use the text files to add codes or you can add them directly to the code manager if you use the code manager directly: 1. insert the gameID where it says "BLNK01" and the game name 2. click the "add a code comment/category" on the bottom left side 3. for codes put the actual code in the "code content" box. for comments/categorys leave it blank so for brawl if you wanted to adby bg4545 - Homebrew General
