To run the gecko os application, you need to install the homebrew channel, or run it using the twilight hack. Be patient, and soon you'll be well on your way to play region free. :Dby WaxyPumpkin72 - Getting Started
That doesn't matter right now, what is the inner circle text on the back of your zelda game? Is it RVL-RZDE-0A-0 USA or RVL-RZDE-0A-2 USA? If you want help, then answer my question.by WaxyPumpkin72 - Getting Started
If you want to play a game from another region, you will use the gecko os app. But first, you need the homebrew channel installed. What is your system menu version?by WaxyPumpkin72 - Getting Started

Oh yeah, and you can't wreck your wii just by running the twilight hack.by WaxyPumpkin72 - Getting Started
Probably not. Unless you have a NAND backup.by WaxyPumpkin72 - Getting Started

Quotedevin122Bootmii - Everything I have read says that I want to install this and that I want to install this as boot2. Yes. Quotedevin122SDHC - I know that system menu 4.0 supports SDHC but can it also be supported on an application level (eg. I keep 3.2 but use SDHC cards within certain homebrew) AFAIK, yes. I'm in the middle of backing up my wii's nand and i have a couple bad blocks. Is that OK?!?!?!by WaxyPumpkin72 - Getting Started
To get an app to show up, this is what you must do (I'll use homebrew browser as an example): Go to the homebrew browser page and download the file to your desktop. Unzip it, and open the homebrew browser folder that is unzipped. Look inside the folder and make sure there are these files: boot.dol, icon.png, loop.mod, meta.xml, and settings.xml. Drag the unzipped homebrew browser folder tby WaxyPumpkin72 - Getting Started
I've always thought the same thing. I'm pretty sure there are other topics on this, but I can't remember why they're left there. It's not very smart, though, cuz its a temptation towards n00bs who don't know what they're doing!! Does that make sense? :Pby WaxyPumpkin72 - Offtopic
Okay, guys, thanks for the info! I don't really understand any of it, but i will someday! :Pby WaxyPumpkin72 - Getting Started
Hmm, that looks fishy..... I don't speak spanish, but i'm seeing some "cIOS 249", I wouldn't use this if I were you.by WaxyPumpkin72 - Getting Started
No. I was really desperate too, so i downgraded. I'm pretty sure that there's no other method. Sorry. :`(by WaxyPumpkin72 - Getting Started
Unforunately, channel loading only works on 3.3v1 and below. Sorry. If you're really desperate, you can downgrade using this method. It is legal, i believe, and its the method i used and i was succesful. If you do decide to do it, you should make sure to have bootmii as boot2 installed, and a NAND backup. Note: This is a risky thing to do, and you could brick your wii!! :Oby WaxyPumpkin72 - Getting Started
What is this? Any info is appreciated! :Dby WaxyPumpkin72 - Getting Started
I'll try it out. I'm sure it'll be great! :Dby WaxyPumpkin72 - Homebrew Applications
QuoteMattManOr he could make two backups: one for each region and then he would only have to use BootMii each time. But yes, this is risky. Thats a really good idea..... Shishouro, do you have bootmii installed?by WaxyPumpkin72 - Getting Started
Backups aren't supported here. Read the rules! Now that you've mentioned that, i bet that nobody's going to help you.by WaxyPumpkin72 - The Junkyard

QuoteZackQuote: wiiguy @Zack: Yep, it just keeps trying to connect and never gets there. That's really odd... I can connect perfectly, is anybody else having this problem? P.S. I don't have the server in my house, so it's not the fact that I own the site, either. I can connect fine. But the search field doesn't work. :/by WaxyPumpkin72 - Offtopic
This is what i get: 5.22 11:22:11: Couldn't find SPRITES/OTHERS/LITTLE~1.BMP to get its length Then it sends me back to the homebrew channel. It would seem as if i get the same message as Gamewizard71. There's a .txt on my SD card that gets there after trying to run Wiiero on 1.0.3. It says "SDL Error". Thats where i got the error message from.by WaxyPumpkin72 - Homebrew Applications
