Yeah, even with the DVD Drive and the BT module out there was no change in the output of the boot process. I'm calling it a absolute brick. Thanks for the help.by idiosync - FixMii
Darn it. There goes that Idea. If the BT module has been knocked loose would using a GC controller in the 4th slot work or would I need a actual SaveMII?by idiosync - FixMii
So I have tried the original Video cable that came with the wii and it does not work also. I've beeen using the component cable originally. and my md5sum of ppcboot.elf and armboot.bin match yours. I'm going to take apart the Wii and see if anything has come loose on the inside. During the nine months it was down it did send some time in the trunk of my car. So I have a wii(Launch day) that was working about 1yr - 9 mths ago. Its was in a box. I have not powered it on till today. Now i'm getting a black screen(really no screen at all) it had HBC installed on it and I would love some help troubleshooting it. When I power it on with a SD the front light blinks and below is a copy of the log from USBGecko with the SD card in. Using a GC Controllerby idiosync - FixMii

QuoteArikado For goodness sake, the man's spent more money in one year then every president in the last 10 years and now he wants government intervention (control, really) of a private industry. According to wolframalpha.com spending has steadly increased with each year for at least the last 10 years. Not a giant spike in the last year as you suggest. QuoteArikadoThank God Chicago was eliminated first. I'm an American and I feel that the Olympics do not belong in the hometown of the man destroying America. I would like to clarify a question that I had posted. If I download just the SM 4.1 from NUSD does that also include the IOSes that I need?by idiosync - Offtopic
Would just using NUSD to get the WAD get all of the update and required IOSes?by idiosync - Offtopic
I Currently have a 3.2 wii with bootmii and hbc 1.05 installed and I would like to update to a System menu that has SD card support for loading VC/WiiWare apps off of the SD card. Which system menu is the currently the recommended version for this? 4.0, 4.1 or 4.2.by idiosync - Offtopic
Well this is a Follow up on the issue. Though I never solved the original problem I was able to restore my Wii to a complete working status by using a friends Wii and Betwiin to transfer nand images.by idiosync - FixMii
Look into Glove Pie. I don't know if it work on Vista but it allows the wiimote to be used (via bluetooth) as a joystick or keyboard depending on the script used. it's been a while since I have used it though. Link belowby idiosync - Offtopic
Thanks for the info. I'll have to look into those source files to see what info I can gleam from them.by idiosync - FixMii
Quoteyellowstaridiosync, backup your NAND, then extract the data from 0x20be0000 - 0x21000000 of the dump with a hex editor, then upload the extracted SFFS. Not a problem. the file is here. Can you point to any info how to read this section of information. It looks kinda like a FAT table?by idiosync - FixMii
Ok so using wiifuse with verbose level 4 I received these errors in relation to the title. Has the wii been on for an extended period of time? After a while my wii had developed a sort of grid distortion on the video. After letting it cool down for a while it disappeared on its own.by idiosync - FixMii
Quotemetroid_maniacstrange... Mabye IOS 36 is on the fritz. If tona want's to release ATD bootmii edition, we'd be very pleased! Try using WUFE to get the IOS from a random game (MK wii or SSBB is good) and installing IOS 36 here, here, on ATD bootmii. I'd be very happy with a low level Nand editor with a detailed description of the Wii FS structure.by idiosync - FixMii
Now just to clarify this is the only channel that I'm having problems with. Any other channel I can copy delete and move all I want. Would really reinstalling IOS36 fix this one channel? There are about 20 other channels that don't exhibit this issue.by idiosync - FixMii
QuoteArikadoTried my idea yet? PM me if you need to find the WAD. yes and it made it just as far as AnyTitleDeleter. removed the ticket but failed on removing the contents. Tried to install the wad over the old install and it also failed on content #10.by idiosync - FixMii
OK so after some amount of work with wiifuse and the server and getting to be SU on the wii I have determined that it is the file 0000000a.app that is causing my problems with the delete. If I try to remove the file through wiifuse after deleting about 7 megs of 35 it decides that the file is now a directory and quits. I cannot move it,copy it, or delete it from it's content directory. Alsoby idiosync - FixMii
QuoteLeftToSighHmmm. This is too odd. Have you tried deleting the save first that's stored on the Wii system memory in save data, then attempt to delete the channel? yes and it didn't work. Thanks for the suggestion though.by idiosync - FixMii
QuoteidiosyncI'm going to see if when I partially delete it if I can redownload from wii shop rewiting the old version and then delete the new version. Failed. It restored the game to it previous state(channel showing up it the channel selector but the data was still corrupted)by idiosync - FixMii
QuoteLeftToSighHmm... Since you have 4.0 now have you tried moving it to SD? If you can possibly move it, at least then you could take the SD card out then to your PC go in the folder and manually delete it. If it does by chance move I wouldn't even open the SD channels and just go for the straight delete from the PC It completed the operation but it did not copy and it did not get deletedby idiosync - FixMii
Homestar Ruiner was purchased though the Wii Shop channel not installed via a wad. It looks like I would need a wad to uninstall it.by idiosync - FixMii
QuoteArikadoTry using WAD Manager to uninstall that WAD? Interesting idea will try.by idiosync - FixMii
QuoteWaxyPumpkin72Have you tried to delete it from data management? Fails.by idiosync - FixMii
Was able to install 4.0 thanks to waninkoko's 4.0 updater. But I still can't delete (WBXE), its 321 blocks. I don't know if this has yet fixed the random small brick of my wii though. Only time will tell. Still would like help on deleting the channel though.by idiosync - FixMii
Quotemetroid_maniachave you made a nand dump beforehand in Bootmii? yes but it contains the game that can't be deleted.by idiosync - FixMii
QuoteSephirothi guess you would have tried the nand backup if you had one... it's pretty weird that there is no way to delete a wiiware game...formating the nand would probably solve this problem, but i guess you don't want to lose all your games.
