Quotejbc007Could you tell us exactly (step by step) what you have done, and what happens? Also, your wii definitely is not an "LU64+" model, is it? If it is, after downgrading IOS 36, anything that loads IOS 36 would hang. I believe it is an LU64+ (It's LU71) And I ran "Use IOS58 + AHPROT" and used it to downgrade IOS36. After noticing the hangs, I ran it again and this time updated Iby Mestizo - Getting Started
Quotejbc007If you click launch game, Gecko launches a game (provided there is a game in the wii). If you want to launch a channel, you need to click launch channel. Does this option not appear or does it not work? That's what I want. The only options that show are Launch Game, Congif Options, About, and Exit.by Mestizo - Getting Started
I did as it said, and Gecko will not load now. Also, anything involving IOS36 freezes DOP-Mii. For now, I re-upgraded to the latest revision just to be safe.by Mestizo - Getting Started

"Error: No DVD Found Press B to return" That's what shows up with no disc in the Wii. With a disc in the Wii, it just loads the disc, along with any codes enabled in a .gct file.by Mestizo - Getting Started

I'm trying to get Gecko to play channels. I read that I need IOS36 v1042. When I go to install it, it says "Note: FakeSign, ES_Identify, Nand Permissions Already Exists.". I try to re-install it, it does, but I still can't load channels in Gecko.by Mestizo - Getting Started
The only way you can transfer the tickets is to send the Wii to Nintendo, but as you said it has HBC, also possibly out of the time length of warranty, you're out of luck on that. Sorry to say, but your only options are: Priority: Get a new SD card 1. Update the HBC to 1.0.8 and do a system update of the old Wii 2. Buy the stuff again on the new Wii.by Mestizo - Getting Started

QuoteArikadoQuoteMestizoI uninstalled WiiDoom and re-installed it as described on it's page. It's still crashing once I load Doom 1 As for the "No_ios_reload" tag, deleting it seemed to have fixed the problem. I disabled the internet and played around with both affected emulators, no crashes. QuoteArikadoWhat TV you use does not affect your Wii's performance. You could actually use the Wii without a TV connected to it at all. The emulators are at the latest update (Snes9x is 4.2.4 and VBA GX is 2.2.1). Maybe it was some odd glitch that happened on coincidence, because I tested both emulators a little while ago and here's what happened. VBA: Tested Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (The game that was causing a majority of the crashes). Finished a dungeon with no problems. Snes9x Tested Killer Instinct (It crby Mestizo - Getting Started
Well, if this bug happens at the same rate even at home, then I'll have no choice but to uninstall Homebrew Channel, as it would be unplayable. If it does not crash at home with an internet connection as opposed to having no internet settings on the Wii at all, then I just don't bring the Wii.by Mestizo - Getting Started
I did, and it still happens. In fact, this time, disabling the internet was the first thing I did, and VBA GX kept crashing. Also, I downloaded WiiDoom via Homebrew Browser. Everything else was a manual install.by Mestizo - Getting Started
But how come said issues happen when only at that one location?by Mestizo - Getting Started
Here's my issues. Every month, I take my Wii to a gaming club for an all-night party. However, lately, and only there, my Homebrew Channel does some odd stuff. Here's some examples I picked up. Took 10 seconds from hitting start to the menu actually showing up) WiiDoom: Always had a DSI error when loby Mestizo - Getting Started

If you're paranoid about losing homebrew, just run the update. There's nothing in the update that affects a majority of the homebrew (unless you have Bootmii as a boot2). Also, if you have WiiConnect24 on, turn off standby, as that's a waste of electricity, and it could fry the GPU. Also, keep in mind that Nintendo cannot force your Wii to update at all without any sort of commandby Mestizo - Homebrew General
It's been confirmed that Smash Stack, Indiana Pwns, and whatever the Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds thing is called still work. I believe this update is just to stop backups. Nintendo also released an update on the DSi that blocks most flash carts.by Mestizo - Getting Started
The newer update just installs some Korean IOSs and has no ill effects to the normal homebrew stuff (to me, anyway. I have 4 emulators, 2 homebrew games, HB Browser, Cheat Manager, Code Downloader, and Gecko OS, all work well after 9-7-10 update). If you want, if you're on 1.0.7 of HBC, run both the updates to Metroid and the Shop Channel. I did, and the only ill effect was some slight lag oby Mestizo - Homebrew General

Just confirmed it from GBATemp and from the update itself. All the update seems to do is update Wii Channels themselves. Bonus, it even updates IOS 58, and seems to make HBC a bit faster.by Mestizo - Getting Started
I wasn't trying to discuss it. I was just mentioning it. Besides, after HBC 1.0.8, Arikado said he can still load channels. If you are reading this Arikado, can you either explain how to do this, or is there another way or not?by Mestizo - Getting Started
I used to do it on 4.2 with the IOS 36 thing with the old version of DOP-Mii in Gecko OS. Now, since 4.3, all it seems to do is want to just load disks. Is it possible to load a channel through Gecko OS anymore?by Mestizo - Getting Started
