If it had a update that could brick the wii then ninety would be haveing to fix alot of wii's at there expense, so I would hope that it doesn't do that and think from the guys here said before if they do that there is some legal issues against ninety if they did.by dirtrider73068 - Getting Started
I can't say much on those two I haven't heard of a mp5player/game console. The second one looks like a copy of the psp. It would be better if you can find one that you can test out like they do with the ds's and psp's to see how it works, and well its made. Those being only 45 bucks? I think I saw one at seemed to me to be made pretty cheap, but then again ds and psp can be brby dirtrider73068 - Offtopic

Quotekichoufumetsuthe technology of backing up ANY cd, dvd, or br based disk was put on the open market for people to use to keep their childrens grubby little hands off of disks that cost WAY to much to put into a 5 year olds hands. QuoteMestizoI think AnyTitle Deleter gets rid of those. Me, I just moved them (Forecast, News, Photo, and Mii) over to the 4th page. Ah ok so dop-mii for example wouldn't be able to be discussed since it patches ios's unless its reworked to not patch ios's and like the TBR those can't be discussed? So this is the reason for haveing IOS 58 then and delete ios 202 or is that just for the usb update for storage devices? It sounds confusing and complicated and sounds bad when I read through it all.by dirtrider73068 - Old Announcements
I read all that and don't understand some of it. So with this new rule does the dop-mii get changed so it doesn't patch any ios? Some of this sounds so confusing and complicated. Does it make some apps not work or will they still work, just now somebody creates a app it has to be able to run on a IOS and not a patched one? Can be a discussion on this to get a better understanding for soby dirtrider73068 - Old Announcements

QuoteBeltofUtilityThanks for the answers. I didn't know downloading games to SDCARDS would be considered back-ups or pirates. Another question, what are all the ways I could/accidentally update my Wii, so I can avoid updating it? And how do I turn of disc updates? And where would the BootMii/HackMii installers come in the process of me using the Smash Stack? And what's the bestby dirtrider73068 - Getting Started
You can use the hackmii installer here, read the included read me files.by dirtrider73068 - Getting Started
Well another thing you could try is reformat your sd card or uninstall HBC and then reinstall HBC and see if that works if the sd card reformat doesn't work. You should be able to do the uninstall and reinstall with the new hackmii installer.by dirtrider73068 - Homebrew General
Check your sd card to see if the apps folder is still there, if this is what you are referring too. Can you load the HBC and get the bubbles screen but no apps then you need the apps folder. It might have gotten deleted or you could have deleted it by accidentby dirtrider73068 - Homebrew General

The homebrew browser would be my first suggestion then you can go online in with browser and download what apps you want if your wii is connected to internet.by dirtrider73068 - Getting Started

QuoteAobx WiiMC installer can use any fakesigned IOS, but since IOS36 is the default one (not the only one) for this kind of procedure, you could simply fakesign IOS36 and use it. Dop-Mii has the option to do it for you, just select it and the necessary files will be downloaded from the Internet. With an offline Wii, you'd need to have IOS36-64-v3351.wad in the root of your SD card. This wby dirtrider73068 - Homebrew General
But you already said your on 4.3 so you should have updated homebrew channel or would have lost it already. You also said you were on 4.2 and wanted to get rid of homebrew all together so you updated to 4.3 which it would have gotten rid of it, so if thats all correct then you won't have homebrew channel anyway so you should be able to rerun the update and see if it will fix it, if nothing eby dirtrider73068 - Homebrew Applications

Sifjar, I have read on the patching, and using the dop-mii for the fake signing but still have a hard understanding. Does it matter what ios you chose to fake sign or can you use any ios other than hbc and the system menu ios? I have the ios 202 installer and tried it but don't have a fakesign ios for it to install. Well I don't know if I am right or not, but you may be able to find a older bricked wii off ebay and use the dvd drive out of it in the newer ones if that will work. At one time there was a link to a wii parts store on here where you get some replacement parts. I don't remember it and don't know if it would be ok to be posted on here.by dirtrider73068 - Homebrew General
This is great something I will need to do in the next few nights, can't wait to see the new HBC look. Going to try the online update through the HBC and see if it will work that way.
