Need help with bootmii install

The card I have been trying is a Lexar 2GB SD card.
I just tried a SanDisk 1GB SD card and got the same results.

Both of these cards are listed on the compatibility list as working.

I also tried a Transcend micro SD 512MB card that I had lying around.
That worked !!!! :D
However, it is really too small to be useful. ;(

That is all of the SD cards that I have at the moment.

Is there a card that is known to work 100% of the time?
Maybe a Nintendo branded card?

well since that card worked i would load bootmii with it then see if you can use the other (bigger) card to do a nand backup. if not i would get a kingston micro sd 4GB card (with SD adapter of course)
which i know to work for loading bootmii and nand backups/restores. well glad you got it to work!

Thank you for your help. One last question...

Based on what you said above, can I swap the SD card once bootmii is running?
Or, does bootmii still need files off of the SD card to do things like NAND backup?

i believe so because it says "insert an sd card to backup" (or something like that) so just try it. the worst that could happen is the wii freezes and you will have to hard power off the wii. (which by the sound of it you have done before) glad we could help.
