I have the same problem, my 14 yr old son deleted my homebrew channel then formatted my wii (in a fit of rage), at least to say i as not very happy. I've read through this post 3 or 4 times and i've grabbed dop-ios (3 files) copied those to the SD card, but when i boot the wii there is noting on the card, if i go into the data management / channels sd card, there is nothing there, am i doing something wrong?

You need bannerbomb to run stuff. dop-IOS is just a piece of homebrew. Just use bannerbomb to run the HackMii Installer and reinstall HBC.

Unfortunately, this topic does fit my problem perfectly. 4.1U firmware, HBC is not installed, former cIOScorp installation, and Hackmii gives the error "no vulnerable IOS found." I tried running Dop-IOS to put a fresh IOS 34 on there, and it said it seemed completely successful, but at the very end it said something went wrong. I then tried to install Hackmii and it failed again. Here is the log from Hackmii:

I am confused about how to run the NUS Downloader, and exactly how you finally implemented a solution. At least this thread is giving me some hope! Thanks in advance.

Use Dop-IOS MOD. When it shows a screen with "IOS" change it to 36. Then install the newest IOS 34 without any patches. (the original Dop-IOS didn't work because you didn't have it's default IOS 249) someone please confirm that this will work because I don't know much about cIOScorp

Download NUSD from the WiiBrew wiki and run it. Then put each of these titles into the "title" box in turn, and tick the "Pack > WAD" box and press download. Leave the "version" box empty.

Then download WAD Manager 1.5 (not on WiiBrew, googles your friend), and run it. Choose IOS36 when asked what IOS to run on. Then install each of these WADs in turn, leaving IOS36 to the last. Then get AnyTitle Deleter from WiiBrew and run it. Check if you have IOS201 and DVDX, and if you do delete them. Then run HackMii Installer and install HBC, DVDx and BootMii (or whatever you want to install)

TopGun: That wont work, that has been proven previously in the thread. I posted something but it was seen as spam. Once it shows up, follow my advice in it to remove cIOScorp.

EDIT: See post above.

Oh duh! Sorry, I forgot. (follow sif jar's advice as it is always good)

PS: anyone know why it keeps saying that messages are spam?

I'm guessing SifJar copied and pasted the majority of that post from another thread.

Yeah, I posted that in another thread advising another guy on how to remove cIOScorp. So it probably noticed I'd posted that recently, and thought it was spam.

domo arigato gozaimasu! I greatly appreciate the help. I've already downloaded the IOS34-64-v3091.wad, but I will download these wads you listed individually, give it a try, and report back. I've been reading the "all IOS 0xffff*" thread, and now I see why the downgrade/upgrade process did nothing to remove cIOScorp. Interesting...

Thanks for taking the time to answer this!

I dont think what I said will work actually. The cIOScorp IOSes dont appear to be able to overwrite themselves for some reason. Do you happen to have regular cIOS (IOS249) as well? If so, use it to install all the WADs I mentioned.

I have the cIOS38_rev14-Installer. Let me see if I understand this. I run the installer to get IOS249 on my system, then use that IOS with wad manager 1.5 to install the other wads?

Thanks again. I will post results.

i believe that would work as all of your current (cIOScorp) IOSs are trucha patched. So try it

Excellent advice! I installed IOS249 using the IOS38 rev14 installer. When that was completed, I downloaded the 26 wad files individually and installed them by launching Wad Manager 1.5 from the SD card. Then I put the most recent version of Hackmii on the SD card and it worked without a hitch. Speaking of which, here is the log file from that installation, showing the installed IOS titles:

BTW, IOS250 is a cIOS, which is why its revision number is still 0xffff*.

SifJar, thanks. And all credit for this solution goes to you. I never would have figured this out on my own.

Ah, no worries. just did a little research into cIOScorp and it was obvious (to me) what you had to do.
