HackMii won´t install

Hey, and sorry about my english!

I was stupid enough to update my wii to 4.2, but half way in the update it failed, and turned off my wii. When I turned it on again, all my channels incl. HBC was gone, and in settings, my firmware is now 4.2E! But because it failed, I do not think it is totally updated... so I tryed again. But every time I try updating now, it fails!

But thats okay... if only I could get HBC back on my wii...

But when I try getting HackMii 0.5 to start, it won´t. It says:

This Installer Can NOT continue!

There is no known vulnerable IOS installed on this wii.


My only option is to EXIT!
And then I´m back on the home screen... and NO HBC!!

Does any of you know what I can do?

- No preloader installed
- No NAND backup
- No HBC

No Nothing.....!!

To all other having this problem, here is the solution:

1. Load AnyTitle Deleter through bannerbomb, and delete IOS30.

2. Then, load Dop-IOS MOD and reinstall the latest version of IOS30.

3. Load HackMii, and it should work!

Please post the installer log file that the Hackmii installer made. That can help us figure out what is wrong.

There should still be a log file on your SD card

Did you check on the root of your SD card? The file should be there and it is called installer.log.

If this is already the latest version... well, suck it.

Many of your IOSes seem to be patched, hence the Hackmii installer will not use them.

Use Dop-IOS or a wad installer to install IOS 30 v1040.

Edit: Just rmembered that the IOS 249 that you have is a stub, so Dop-IOS will not work, sorry.

And remeber that i do NOT have HBC installed! So I cant install any wad´s yet...

You can still run homebrew through an exploit (what you used to run the Hackmii installer, just use the boot.dol/elf from the application you want to run instead of the one for the Hackmii installer).

m_peden: Solving your problem is simple. Run my Dop-IOS MOD application ( [www.wiibrew.org] ) and install IOS 30 v1040 with it. Afterward, the HackMii Installer will work for you.

And how do I run your Dop-IOS MOD application without Homebrew Channel installed?

Take the boot.dol in Dop-IOS MOD and replace the boot.dol on your SD Card with it. Then when you run your exploit, Dop-IOS MOD will start instead of the HackMii Installer.

Okay I have replaced the boot.dol on my SD card, and started your Dop-IOS MOD. I selected ISO 30...

And now its just saying "Loading selected IOS..." - and nothing is happening?

No, no, no...

There are two parts two Dop-IOS MOD:

1)Loading an IOS: In order to install IOSs, you must load an IOS that will be used to install other IOSs. You must select an IOS that has the trucha bug. If you select one that doesn't, the program may freeze forcing you to unplug your Wii. According to your installer log, selecting IOS 249 for this part should work.

2)Installing IOSs: Once you have loaded an IOS, you can now install other IOSs. Choose to install IOS 30 v1040.

Okay, thanks for explaining that...

But even now, when I´m loading IOS 249, its just saying "Loading selected IOS..." - and nothing is happening?

But selecting IOS70 worked...

Now it is asking me, if i´m sure that I want to install IOS36 v3351?


Do I want that? Remeber that I´m on firmware 4.2....

No, that's a bug; Sorry (it'll be fixed in the next release). Press B to decline that. Then navigate the menu to select and install IOS 30 v1040.

Okay... So when I´m loading IOS70, chosing IOS30 v1040.

It fails to do that:

It start loading:
content 1/15 ID: ....... (from SD) Done
hash BAD


And the RESTARTS my wii....

When you load an IOS, try loading IOS 60 or IOS 55 instead of IOS 70.
