HackMii won´t install

I did the exact same thing as the other guy...meaning yes, I am stupid and attempted an update before reading posts.
My 4.2 update did not complete and I am semi-bricked. My HBC is gone and would like to get it back.

I tried to re-load hackmii (HBC). Here is my log file. Can I do the same thing this guy did to fix? I still have a NAND backup before loading HBC....I just can't restore cause I can't get bootmii back on.

By "DVD games" do you mean actual games or "backups"? If its "backups", go away, we frown upon such things here.

I see that HBC 1.0.6 is now available. It gave the same response. I am away from the machine at the time and don't have access to the log file, but it was basically the same info.

First I un-installed IOS30 from the Wii, with Any Title Deleter (I could load it with bannerbomb). Then I loaded Dop-IOS MOD and installed OS 30 v1040 with IOS36 loaded...


And bingo... HackMii 0.5 installes Homebrew, DVDx and BootMii...

I did load Dop-IOS MODv6 and reviewed status of IOS 30 with IOS36 loaded. It showed that it was already at v1040...I stopped just in case.

So, I haven't tried "Any title deleter" yet. Do I keep moving along with that method, or can I use Dop-IOS MOD to "Install old version of IOS 30 v1040"? That appears to be my only option with Dop.

So, are my chances of bricking higher with attempting NUS update again, Dop-IOS MOD IOS30 v1040 reinstall, total Dop-IOS rewrite of all IOSes from NUS, or finally Any title remove IOS30 and reinstall IOS 30 v1040 with Dop-IOS MOD?

There is really no chance of bricking with any of those methods unless you remove the power from your Wii while you are in the process of performing any of those methods.

Thank you very much. It went really well. I did not remove IOS30 first. I loaded IOS36 and reinstalled IOS30 v1040. Once complete, I installed HBC 1.0.6 and Bootmii in boot2. It worked flawlessly. I then updated system to 4.2U from NUS and all is well. HBC and Bootmii are still present and everything is good.

Now amI trying to install it again with de dop ios but when I choose it get un ugly screen with half-cut white numbers
I just want to get back the HBC
HELP SOS ETC

That's a bug in Dop-IOS MOD some people are experiencing. It's my fault, and I'm working around the clock to fix it. Please wait patiently for a fix or use Dop-IOS v8.

it worked using dop-ios v8
now I finally got the HBC back ^^ THX A LOT

I have same problem upgraded yo 4.2 which never completed but in the settingd menu does now say V4.2E. When i try to load Hackmii i get exact same issue as Wiihope.

I no longer have a homebrew channel so am struggling on how to load either Anytitle deleter or DOP-ISO

Please help.....

Dude, re-read this whole thread. Between what m_peden and I did you have a fix. Either should work. Only diff was he used Any title deleter to remove IOS30. I just wrote over mine with DOP-IOS MODv6. Once IOS30 v1040 is done, you can reinstall HBC and Bootmii 0.6

Oh, keep in mind you may not be able to upgrade from NUS successfully anymore, but everything on my system still works fine. It shows 4.2U, but it still wants to "upgrade". I figured I would give it a shot since I have a good NAND.bin from bootmii now.
