QuotescanffQuoteArikadoQuotescanffI'm really not sure how it's going to handle unicode. I think JustWoody managed to do this with Mahjongg Wii. Perhaps you should check out the source? I checked out his source and I think he stores the words as images. I'm allowing the user to skin the gui and add his/her own words. In mahjongg I store all translations as text and store theseby JustWoody - Ideas, requests
Piracy is not discussed on this forum I would suggest buying the games that you want to play instead, much easier to get working this way :)by JustWoody - The Junkyard
QuoteSteelSLasherI am now wondering if there are any other gui libs available that can use images as they are without having to convert them (like in GRRLIB). Not sure where you are coming from here, but I use GRRLIB (I am only using v3.0.1) and I don't convert any of my resources, I just put them into my the data directory as pngs, jpgs, etc. and they get converted automatically along witby JustWoody - Coding
All, By popular demand (well some people have asked for it) I have released the source code for the latest released version of Mahjongg Wii on the wiki homepage: Mahjongg Wii Homepage on Wiibrew Feel free to ask me questions about the source if you want me to give a bit more explanation of any of it No flaming though please :)by JustWoody - Coding
Well there is definitely a bug in the WEST cases as I think it should read p1.x instead of p1.y in the assignment statement after the IF Also, not a bug but for efficiency you all the struts are actually the same structure so you should define this structure then set each of the four variables to the defined structure type. I would also think about making a function from the movement changes aby JustWoody - Coding
Like technical says to really help we need to see what the error was i.e. whats above the process error code 2 One thing that comes to mind without this is that there is only support for png 16 and 32, so if you are saving as png8 then this would not work, although I think that this would be more likely to manifest itself at runtime rather than compile timeby JustWoody - Coding
QuoteTantricWhere's the source for this? I am planning to distribute the source, but it requires quite a bit of tidying up and getting time to do that is toughby JustWoody - Homebrew Applications
Hi all, I've now release version 0.7 of my Mahjongg Wii game, here is the change log:- * Changed to automatically select the language based on the Wii menu language settings (Nintendo only support Japanese, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch) but as Mahjongg Wii supports more languages, I have kept the language selection screen, but moved it to be accessible via theby JustWoody - Homebrew Applications
No problem Couchy, I hope the project goes well.by JustWoody - Coding
The first thing that stands out is that you are always moving the bulletx by 1 instead of calculating the amount that this should change in a similar way to how you are calculating bullety Also the biggest thing I can see is that all your variables are integers and you are performing floating point type operations on them, this will result in truncation and hence some of the strange things thaby JustWoody - Coding
I've now recompiled the latest trunk of libogc via source from git and all sound is fully working now. Looks like some may have been missing or old in wplaats version so would suggest people compiling themselves to make sure they get all the libs they need. Thanks to wplaat though for his efforts, its good to try to help others.by JustWoody - Coding
Cheers for the compile wplaat I've recompiled my code with your compile of libogc v1.7.1 and now I can't hear mod music anymore! I've tried with and without setting the volume so I am pretty sure its nothing to do with that. Has anyone else come across this problem? any workaround? On the plus side sound effects are now working with the accelerated sounds lib (cheers guys)by JustWoody - Coding
QuoteAerialX(I'm currently using .it module files) Are you using .it mod files through the modplay library? I wasn't sure which mod file types were supported and would be good to get clarification for future referenceby JustWoody - Coding
Hey Jonas, I finally heard the new tie sound and I like the tune, but would be really good it you could find some japanese/chinese instruments for itby JustWoody - Coding
I uninstalled and reinstalled devkitpro and now the programmers notepad is working again and I've tested with the new libfat and all is working again. Cheers for the prompt work on the devs for the fix.by JustWoody - Coding
Cheers Shagkur I will look out for it BTW If you see Hermes, I'm pretty sure that sounds are also not playing with 1.7.0 tooby JustWoody - Coding
Cheers Scognito I've downloaded the latest version of libfat 1.0.2 But now the programmers notpad is not loading so I can't test it! Anyone come across problems with the programmers notpad? + does anyone know where to send the dumps?by JustWoody - Coding
I just recompiled my app with the latest version of libfat (along with libogc and devkitPPC) and the app now performs a crash dump when I try to load a saved config from SD. Here is the code of my load routine:- bool loadConfig() { return false; if(!fatInitDefault()) return false; FILE *fp; if((fp = fopen("sd:/mahjongg.cfg","rb"))==NULL) return false; // get the version numbeby JustWoody - Coding
I've just noticed that the MODPlay_SetVolume function has been removed from the MOD playing library in version 1.7.0 of libogc. As I use this to allow user controlled volume of music, does anyone know if there is an alternative to this that I can use instead?by JustWoody - Coding
I'm at work so don't have access to a ogg player, will have to check it out when I get homeby JustWoody - Coding
don't update! Just download gecko os, and run through the homwbrew channel (or other) from inside the gecko app you can just start the dsik and this bypasses the update and just loads the gameby JustWoody - Homebrew General
I think its good that a number of people are working on N64 emulators for the Wii as was the case with the PC N64 emus back in the day, where users had there own favorite.by JustWoody - Offtopic
QuoteJonasDo you mean you want a short little 6 second or so sequence when you win the game? Or were you thinking something longer. Yes something like six seconds would be ideal for the win sequence + similar if the game is drawn too :)by JustWoody - Coding
I need some music for my homebrew Mahjongg Wii game - MahJongg Wii Homepage also do a search for it on youtube as someone has posted a video of it. What formats can you do? The current sndlib only supports MOD and OGG, and to save memory I have only used MOD in my game, although I suppose I could make it a bit larger and have OGGs too. OK firstly there is absolutely no foundation to this rumour whatsoever, but putting two and two together... and following the clues StrmnNrmn author of Daedalus N64 emulator most recently seen on the PSP has updated his blog after nearly a year with the following: Quote ...For what it's worth, I'm currently working on a new port of Daedalus. I am testing this out from DrTwox post on GGRLIB and have managed to get it working! All I did was take a bit of Michels advice and added this before including jpeglib.h #undef boolean This enable the define in jpeglib.h to override the existing on defined in gctypes and all seems to work alright still!by JustWoody - Coding
Alternatively I do this for 2 wiimotes, but it works the same if you add more: I do this outside the main loop: WPAD_SetDataFormat(WPAD_CHAN_ALL, WPAD_FMT_BTNS_ACC_IR); WPAD_SetVRes(WPAD_CHAN_ALL, rmode->fbWidth, rmode->xfbHeight); Then this inside the main loop:- WPAD_ScanPads(); u32 wpad_one_down = WPAD_ButtonsDown(0); u32 wpad_two_down = WPAD_ButtonsDown(1);by JustWoody - Coding
Does anyone know if these are these the only languages that are supported by CONF_GetLanguage()? I was thinking about using it to autodetect instead of having a language selection screen in Mahjongg Wii, but I also support other languages - Portuguese, Hungarian, Swedish, Finnish and Catalan which are not on the list above. I also did a google search for CONF_GetLanguage() and on a Hungariaby JustWoody - Coding
QuoteSexyLegsO and also when playing AVI files from USB storage device, it has gray lines, and color is out of focus I've also noticed this but only on a few avi files, hopefully this will get fixed in a new version. I can't remember having this problem in previous versions so it may be something they did to increase the colour range It is pretty impressive app though and still beby JustWoody - Homebrew Applications
