Yeah ... I know it's always fun to hack something for free. If you find out anything then let us know :)by scanff - Offtopic
They probably fixed the bug in iPhone OS 2.0. It only cost like $99 to be a legit developer. Why bother hacking. Apple gives you full access to the hardware and lets you use OpenGL ES.by scanff - Offtopic
I think the IPod Touch uses the same SDK as the IPhone. Therefore there's no hacking involved as Apple is smart enough to support homebrew developers. Here's a link to Apple's Developer page -by scanff - Offtopic
Ok I get you. So first of all is the buffer supposed to be commented out of mad_decoder_init? mad_decoder_init(&decoder, 0/*&buffer*/, input, 0 /* header */, 0 /* filter */, output, error, 0 /* message */);by scanff - Coding
QuoteCrayonWhat kind of mp3 does mp3player plays (Bit Size/stereo or mono/sampling rate)? I think all. It's a wrapper for libmad.by scanff - Coding
I believe there's a make command bin2o that converts a binary file to be included in the output elf. I've only used the make command to include an image so I don't know if you can do it for any other binary files. If you can't use a make file command then it's no big deal I have a C++ program I wrote in about 10mins that will convert a binary file into a hex array. Iby scanff - Coding
The buffer is a pointer to your mp3 data. Which you could have loaded from a file or included as a binary header.by scanff - Coding
You can load an mp3 via a buffer if you don't want to use the SD. MP3Player_Init(); while(1) { if(!MP3Player_IsPlaying()) MP3Player_PlayBuffer(buffer,buffer_size,NULL); } if(MP3Player_IsPlaying()) MP3Player_Stop();by scanff - Coding
Check out mp3player.h void MP3Player_Init(); void MP3Player_Stop(); BOOL MP3Player_IsPlaying(); void MP3Player_Volume(u32 volume); s32 MP3Player_PlayBuffer(const void *buffer,s32 len,void (*filterfunc)(struct mad_stream *,struct mad_frame *)); s32 MP3Player_PlayFile(void *cb_data,s32 (*reader)(void *,void *,s32),void (*filterfunc)(struct mad_stream *,struct mad_frame *));by scanff - Coding
If you're just trying to play a plain old mp3. There are wrapper functions that do this for you. They are in mp3player.h void MP3Player_Init(); void MP3Player_Stop(); BOOL MP3Player_IsPlaying(); void MP3Player_Volume(u32 volume); s32 MP3Player_PlayBuffer(const void *buffer,s32 len,void (*filterfunc)(struct mad_stream *,struct mad_frame *)); s32 MP3Player_PlayFile(void *cb_data,by scanff - Coding
Hummm. No source yet and I doubt they will for this title any time soon as it's a fully online game where they rely on ads for revenue. GL and GX are very different. I'd love to see a better GL wrapper but I doubt it will happen.by scanff - Ideas, requests

And i DON'T have windows 7, which while it IS built off of vista, it will feature better stuff like native touchscreen support, making the back-seat driver approach to opening programs (are u sure you want to open it? I can't make out the error code from that video but I could never update then I found out it was because my router needed to be set to channel 11 (I think it was that) for wireless.by scanff - Offtopic
I'm sorry you spent so long trying it figure this out. The SDL port under the development tools here does not work very well. I've been told that the Wiiapple has modified the port so it works. Although it did not work for me. If you can't get one working then I have a port of SDL that I have modified. The RW ops work but I've not had the time to fix stuff like SDL thrby scanff - Coding
I can't see any reason from those terms why you could not accept donations. I think you're fine! I see the "donations" via paypal a lot on open source projects (even devkitpro's site). I would suggest one thing that's make the projects open source, set up a page on sourceforge.net. I'll probably get more people contributing to paypal that way. Your other optionby scanff - Offtopic

Is this project still being worked on? I'd like to dust off my old PS1 games and play them. Especially Tekken 2. Can you load them from the Wii's DVD or do you need to create an image? I have Nero at home will this work.by scanff - Homebrew Applications
Yeah It flashes on the screen then ends because it WORKED! the simple hello world just runs prints "hello world" and exits that program. That's why you'd need a getch() or std::cin >> pause; to make it visible to you. Also if you ran the code in a console window/terminal you'd see that it worked.by scanff - Offtopic
look for examples of the zlib uncompress function. It's a easy as : unsigned long size = max_size * 2; int res = uncompress(uncompressed_data,&size,compressed_data,compressed_len); if (res != 0){ //failed }by scanff - Coding
Codeblocks is the way to go. DevC++ is years outa date. But for learning purposes DevC++ will work. My reasoning for first learning C is I personally found it easier to pick up, reading about inheritance etc was very, very confusing to a Visual Basic 3 programmer at the time :) #include #include #include int main() { printf("Hello world!\n"); printf("Press x to exit!\nby scanff - Offtopic
I've never met a person who read that book and then could program c++. Just stick at it. Unless you have a genius IQ there's no way you could learn c++ in 21 days. I read it years ago and felt totally confused too - It just takes time and practice. I actually found it more helpful searching around the net for c/c++ tutorials than reading that book. However it's a good refeby scanff - Offtopic
Ok fixed it. It was the Quake 4x4 tile code. I found this on plaatsoft (http://www.plaatsoft.nl/wiibrew/2009/03/) that works great. Thanks for the help static void BitmapTo4×4RGBA(const unsigned char *src, void *dst, const unsigned int width, const unsigned int height)by scanff - Coding
One more thing I'm noticing. I don't think the stripes are random. It looks like every other row is taken from the bottom of the image. For example ... The first row is correct, the second is taken from the bottom of the image, the third is correct, the fourth is the bottom of the image minus one row.by scanff - Coding
I was not familiar with memalign(being more a windows programmer). I have tried that too (that's why I commented it out) but it produces the same result. e.g. - texture_buffer = (u8*)memalign(32, scaled_width * scaled_height * 4); From what I looked up memalign is a wrapper for malloc() as my code is c++ would there be any problems using the c style memory allocations.
