QuoteLordAshesOf course if this is the case then you would need specialized equipment (i.e. modified wiimotes) because, as far as I know, the wiimotes do not turn on and off. In addition if all wiimotes turned off and on then you would have the additional problem of making sure they don't turn on and off in sync (i.e. all turn off and all turn on at the same time) and trying to figure out whby yellowstar - Coding
Quoteemsef Let me rephrase the question: "Can I browse files stored locally (SD or USB) from the Internet Channel?" No, you can't load anything on SD/USB with Opera.by yellowstar - Homebrew General
MINI armboot.bin and ppcboot.elf stored on SD can be updated without hackmii installer, by copying the files from another bootmii install from SD, to your SD card. A MINI app updating these files,(although there's not much point of it since it's easier to do this with a computer) would not crash MINI. MINI is loaded from armboot.bin, but after it boots, armboot.bin is not accessed.(Likeby yellowstar - Homebrew General
QuotehuntermQuotedarklinkunless it makes its game saves on the dsi's memory or the sd card like arikado said Possible, but exactly how would the DSi manage the saves, there is no section in Data Management, unless they have it integraded with all the channels. Unless, they are planning on creating a update, to add that section. The savedata is stored within the content.bin: Quotehttp://by yellowstar - Offtopic
QuoteABoyAndHisWii -Edit- So how does bannerbomb manage to work? What's different in the case of channels on SD card? The whole disc is signed, with keys we do not have. content.bin banners are signed and encrypted with keys we have.by yellowstar - Homebrew General
Boot2 uses the same key on all Wiis since it uses regular WAD title encryption. I already answered this before:by yellowstar - FixMii
SifJar: No, you don't need the keys to install Bootmii boot2.by yellowstar - FixMii
You could dump NAND, install Bootmii as boot2 manually if possible, then flash NAND. Then dump NAND with Bootmii to get the keys.by yellowstar - FixMii
I tried to create wc24dl.vff under HBC(00010001-JODI) data dir, but I get -102 permission denied... Why? ES_GetTitleID was returning -1017 in another function with proper titleid alignment, so I'm not sure if HBC is identifying as something else for w/e reason... s32 WC24_CreateVFF(char *path, u32 filesize) { s32 retval, fd; vff_header *header = (vff_header*)memalign(32, sizeof(vff_hby yellowstar - Coding
"WC24 header version is 0x1." is not an error, that is always displayed. So ninchdl-listext is crashing? Post output displayed by ninchdl-listext, and your input.by yellowstar - Software

SifJar: With that flash card loader, the idea was to mod cookhack to load data and code from EEPROM of other games, then execute card initialization, and boot /boot.nds from the flash card microSD FAT.(Takes a lot of space, and I never finished it since I ran out of usable games...)by yellowstar - Offtopic
WikiFSX: There's plenty of space in cookhack to read and boot an .nds directly from FAT SD, if we only knew how to access SD... Using an flash card requires way to much space, you'd probably need at least 2 extra games with 8KB EEPROM each.(Tried it myself, I know of only 1 extra game I own that can be used for this...)by yellowstar - Offtopic
The "disc channel" is not a real channel, it is not stored on NAND. Sysmenu sets the banner, ect, to the game's banner when inserted, and a generic banner otherwise.by yellowstar - Software
Nintendo will update your Wii to 4.2, thus boot2 will be overwritten. You can re-install Bootmii and restore NAND though.by yellowstar - Offtopic
I've sent you a PM with a link to a build of comex's formatter without any modifications.by yellowstar - FixMii
Did you compile comex's formatter yourself without modifications, or did someone else compile it, with modifications?(The .elf link in your other topic was modified, with formatting removed.) You won't see any progress displayed during installation of each wad, that info is sent over USB Gecko.(And any errors, ect)by yellowstar - FixMii
The filenames of the wads don't matter. What exactly did you download with NUSD?(And what versions?)by yellowstar - FixMii
QuoteMajoraI have a SYSCONF, but it's probably corrupted(anyregion doesn't boot with a SYSCONF -106 error). That error means SYSCONF was deleted. QuoteMajoraI downloaded it with FTPii.. Dou you need to see it? Sure, upload it. QuoteMajoraI have no settings.txt o_O... How do you know? That's stored at /title/00000001/00000002/data/settings.txt.by yellowstar - FixMii
QuoteArikadoQuotemetroid_maniacuse an app (forgot it's name) to restore your settings.txt file AnyRegion Changer? That won't work, since AnyRegion Changer first reads SYSCONF to determine your region, ect. EDIT: What is the region for your Wii?by yellowstar - FixMii
QuoteSifJarAre you sure you cant get the keys with an Infectus? NAND keys are stored in OTP, not NAND. Infectus can only be used to install Bootmii boot2, then Bootmii could be used to dump the NAND keys.(Which he can't do since his Wii has a boot1 with fakesign fixed.)by yellowstar - FixMii
QuoterosstexWhat can WiiConnect24 do to your Wii? I installed Bootmii with the Hackmii installer a few weeks ago, but I haven't had any problems. At least, I don't think I have any. As in if WC24 can brick your Wii? There are rare 3.3% NAND FS usage(formatted NAND FS) bricks, but no-one knows for certain why those bricks happen.by yellowstar - FixMii
You can't install Bootmii boot2, thus you can't dump your NAND keys.(Even with Infectus) You need the NAND keys to use Betwiin.by yellowstar - FixMii

You used the wrong wc24pubk.mod. wc24pubk.mod contains the WC24 AES key, thus the decrypted data is corrupted, so ninchdl-listext crashes when it attempts to process an empty file(404 on server). You need to dump this:(US NinCh wc24pubk.mod) /title/00010001/48415445/data/wc24pubk.modby yellowstar - Software
No, the wii toolchain is not needed. Only the source files under the source directory are used for the Linux/Win32 builds, while with the MINI app build, those files and the source files in the directory with the makefiles are used.by yellowstar - Software
The Download Station protocol is not encrypted. Writing a homebrew Download Station host would be complicated, since there's still many unknown frames and other data sent. It would be interesting though if it would be possible to use Wii Linux for a Wii WMB host. I guess I could PM Linux binaries compiled under Ubuntu. wc24pubk.mod is identical for every Wii, and is identical for every region and version of Nintendo Channel. wc24decrypt uses wget, ninchdl-listext uses curl.by yellowstar - Software
