I REALLY would like to save my SSBB and Mario Kart save. Hundreds of hours and records my bro and i set. How do i do this? I am not sure if SDL does it for you but try initializing fat yourself for file access The sleep function is ugly, use SDL_Delay sleeps in milliseconds. Or use usleep which sleeps in microseconds. I tried this code and HBC reboots to itself Someone suggested trying the example in the discussion of sdl wii. So i did and that does not work as well. Why do these not work? Examples of what i want to do exist already, theres multiple libs that can load their image, one that can draw text, etc. The idea is to strip out anything app or lib specific. But theres more to it. What are you trying to do specifically ? i have no experience with any of these files but i messed around with data in the pass. If you want to find text and change them i suggest looking for a sentence in game (usually this is not compressed) and search ALL files and the entire file for the string. No, you would have to purposely try to send the system commands and replace some NAND files to brick it. As long as your code doesnt try to do that a bad file or buggy code wont take your system down. Typically if your using the normal makefile that comes with the examples the .dol and .elf should be in the root folder (where the makefile is). Yes you can indeed compile C and C++ :) Its actually a myth that C++ compiles (or runs) slower. It was true 10+ years ago but compilers aren't crappy anymore. (but ppl dont learn and say C++ is slower). Theres no need to use namespaces. To call C func you do extern "C" { myFunc(); } or extern "C" myFunc() note, you cant call c++ in c solely bc you cant include the cpp headers (thereby mavakadachi - Coding

Has anyone tried looking at libudf / libcdio to get file support on disc? I briefly looked at it. Drivers are in lib/driver, BSD and windows (which includes xbox) is supported. There is a struct you need to fill out. It seems like you can return not implemented and there looks to be functions you dont need to fill (like XYZ_audio which seems to be music CD specific not file reading for DVDs).by mavakadachi - Coding
