Oh, ok.... So why hasn't someone just come up with a burner or driver for burning the games "inverted"? (not trying to figure out how to pirate, just learning here...) And if that is the case, how does a mod chip make the Wii read the disc "backwards"?by DrLucky - Homebrew General
i had considered the possibility of it being a "special" disc... but I think that such discs could have been recreated by the pirates and "backup-ers" and sold where modchips are sold...by DrLucky - Homebrew General
I still think a chip is a good solid bit of "insurance"... but just because of the 3.4 update doesn't mean we need to freakout like this... team Twizlers has a whole list of exploits at their finger tips... Speaking of, How did they find the Zelda Exploit? And another question, (purely educational, something that has always bugged me) How does the Wii (or any system for that matterby DrLucky - Homebrew General
QuoteArikadoThe PSP has a halfspeed dreamcast emulator. Having one on the Wii is more than a plausible concept. well that's good news... Do you think that the group will start some new emulators (SegaCD, Dreamcast, Virtual Boy ect) after they finish Wii64 and WiiSX?by DrLucky - Homebrew General
what we really need to do is spam bomb and get mad at the ISO loaders that caused this...by DrLucky - Homebrew General
you should probably bring this up to the devs on the Tehskeen forums!by DrLucky - Homebrew Applications
I don't see how DVDx isn't a big important issue. Isn't it necessary for all apps (like emulators) to read from the DVDs?by DrLucky - Homebrew Applications
QuotemanraydsDrLucky can you please explain to me how to downgrade my firmware from 3.4 to either 3.3 or factory shipped if I don't have the homebrew channel installed? sorry, the guy who posted his successful downgrade story already had HBC installed. But don't fear, Team Twizilers have been saying that they have backup plans - other exploits to use...by DrLucky - Homebrew General
But, team Twizillers said they had a plan b, plan c, plan d, ect... They can use more exploits when they need too... But, you can downgrade your 3.4 Wii now if you like...by DrLucky - Homebrew General
Not entirely The D2pro just came out with an update that skips over the update partition in a game disc, original or backup. So if you want to play new games in the future, but not have to update to play them, then a modchip will be best. Even for playing originals!by DrLucky - Homebrew General
If Nintendo sees a drop in sales from boycotting, they will assume it is because of a burst in game pirating, not from a bunch of legal homebrewers boycotting... Then the adverse will happen: Nintendo, in their paranoia, will develop a massive system update to make "their" Wii rock solid which blocks out ALL Wiibrew...by DrLucky - Homebrew General
Quotedaniel_c_wQuoteprofetylenMaybe noobish questin but... What is the NAND? NAND: in genral: a design for flash memory chips in context of the Wii: the internal memory chip (512MB) I should have written "internal memory" in my previous post. Is it possible, then, to mod our Wii with a memory card and replace the 512 MB chip with a larger one? Like first copy all of the NAND data to ourby DrLucky - The Junkyard
We don't support piracy here... I am assuming that you have your original game backed up and your first was destroyed, so you can not look at the code on the disc. Since your backup of the game you bought was copied, then it is exactly the same, so it would work for the twilight hack. I don't know what would happen if you used the wrong one though.... BUT!!! Since you have aby DrLucky - Homebrew General
thanks... post a picture if you do... my Mom does scrap booking too, so I brought it over to her to see if she had a small edge rounder...by DrLucky - Homebrew General

QuoteTheManuelI likes... That is actually a very nice idea. I will cut the corners round to fit nicely on the SD card. thanks On the first one, I tried to round the edges... the VERY small edges, so it didn't look too good...by DrLucky - Homebrew General
by direct download, you mean not following a link to a site with another link, then waiting to download... thanks Arikado, let me know if you do!by DrLucky - Homebrew General
hmmm... IDK... I have a few... let me know which version you have, and I'll send you a zip of the older versions I have.by DrLucky - Homebrew Applications
Quotestrongfannice! but next time, use a different hosting service; one that allows direct linking. I myself am looking for one of those. sorry, I have been using 4shared for a while... let me know if you find one...by DrLucky - Homebrew General
I decided to make a custom label for my wiibrew SD card. (an excuse to play around on photoshop I guess) I peeled off my old label, scanned it in to get my dimensions, and recreated the label. I used the Wiibrew "wii faucet icon" the HBC water background. And I used (in one version) the Zelda Triangle to make an insert arrow, in "honor" of the Twilight Hack: here are .png and photoshopby DrLucky - Homebrew General
the best converting program is SUPER@ it will convert anything to anything else... but you need to find out what kind of video your camera makes... best thing to do is record a few seconds, copy that vid to the computer and then see what format, bitrate, and resolution it is...by DrLucky - Offtopic
have you tried a different version?by DrLucky - Homebrew Applications
I get questions like this all the time on a different forum... isn't there, or cant there be an HB app that updates your Wii to any version you like? We can downgrade! you'd think updating would be no problem....by DrLucky - Homebrew General
try a different version... did you make a folder for the saves on your SD card?by DrLucky - Homebrew Applications
you also need to break some laws to do it too... no piracy here thank you....by DrLucky - The Junkyard
QuotewhodaresAhhh, yes, that's because they are replacing images inside existing banners. As they don't alter the brlyt and brlan files, the images they replace must have the same file size and name as the original. However, because my banner tools will actually "create" a banner, you'll be free to use any size. ahh.. nice to know... and will be in English, I presume? haha Gby DrLucky - Homebrew General
BANNER NEEDS TO BE 256x192 ICON NEEDS TO BE 128x96 NOTE: NOT USING THESE SIZES WILL BRICK YOUR WII! there are some apps in Spanish that allow you to change the banners (like for the emulator channels Paradox makes) it isn't mentioned on here much since there is Nintendo code involved (somehow) it is "pirating".... but on other forums, it is a widely know wii bricker. And I know of peopby DrLucky - Homebrew General
Quotewhodares QuoteDrLuckyWill it have a feature that either rejects or re-sizes and image that is not 256x192? Why would I do that? I'm not aware of any technical limitations on image size in the banner (if anybody knows different, please speak up. I would also recommend against having a 10Megapixel photo in a banner, but your call lol). Having a larger image than the display area means tby DrLucky - Homebrew General

The graphics on this game are either really bad, or the emulator is glitchy. Chronos Cross (.img) The intro looks fantastic... Beginning play is fine, freezes after going into character options.
