If you agree to what? The only way you'll get prompted with the new EULA is if you ARE updating. SInce you've had Wiiconnect24 on, you've already agreed to an EULA and you won't have to agree to another unless you update. Also, I believe that 3.4 has been checked out and no one has found any code to indicate that auto updating is in there, so the only feasible risk is if theyby bg4m3r - Getting Started
umm....simple solution, copy your saves to the SD card after you get done playing. when you go to play again, copy them back. use these apps to deal with no copy flagged saves: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Save_Extractor http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Savegame_Installerby bg4m3r - Getting Started
Just a guess, but I would think the DSi will make all this type of stuff much easier, since it has its own SD slot. Of course, that doesn't help those who can't/don't want to get one.by bg4m3r - Homebrew General
I got those errors when downgrading with the regular ARC, but when I used ARCm5, I got no errors, maybe give that a try?by bg4m3r - Homebrew General

QuoteJass123spits it out slightly on the bottom of the disk slot, and then pulls it back in. This makes it sound like the drive is having trouble centering the GC disc to me. Have you tried putting the Wii horizontal and then putting in the disc? IF it works that way, then I would remove the HBC and any other homebrew that may be installed (i.e. DVDx would need to be uninstalled), use Any Title Dby bg4m3r - Homebrew General
1- I don't know anything about marcan's software, so I'm recommending using GlovePIE. 2- Wiimote Compatible Bluetooth Devices 3- Vista can be difficult to connect with. Basic tip, at each dialog of the connect process, check and make sure your wiimote is still in discovery mode before hitting ok. um...if this is a backup/copy you're referring to, you're not going to get any help here. If it isn't, what are you trying to launch it with, and what is the error you're getting?by bg4m3r - Homebrew General
QuoteDrLuckygetting rid of the health warning screen is possible with preloader? Sort of, you can replace it with a blank screen via hack.ini and it will auto enter the system menu as soon as whatever loading it does durning the health screen display is done (no need to press A to continue).by bg4m3r - Homebrew General
Isn't there an issue with installing starfall after installing preloader? Preloader moves/renames the files that starfall needs to edit...by bg4m3r - Homebrew Applications
Arikado Edit: None of that here please. Also, preloader .28 just came out. You could try that. If you still have .27 installed, boot to the preloader menu and it should autocheck for the update. It is important to note too that starfall has to be installed BEFORE preloader because preloader moves/renames the things that starfall edits. This could be why your attempt to use starfall failed.by bg4m3r - Homebrew Applications
Well, I was thinking about using both Starfall and Preloader, but since I just installed Preloader last night, I guess I won't be using Starfall, but that's fine. What's the issue there? I don't know anything about how Starfall works. Good to know it wasn't just me. I don't seem to be having any issues...everything is still working, except I'm having troubleby bg4m3r - Homebrew General

I'm trying to install preloader and healthii, but both are failing. Preloader freezes on the warning screen, and healthii reads the sd card, flashes something too fast to read, then goes back to the screen list. Help? Plz?by bg4m3r - Homebrew Applications
Right, I was just pointing out the personal use factor. I completely agree with the distribution issue. Of course, making WADs for homebrew is kinda silly in the first place as you have to redo it every time it gets updated.by bg4m3r - Homebrew General
at the risk of getting yelled at, there is at least one program (I will not link it or utter its name unless someone says it's ok) you can use to make wads that are completely legal, so long as you don't give it a banner or icon. Of course that makes for a rather boring looking channel (blank icon and banner), but at least it'd be legal. The author of said app is working on makingby bg4m3r - Homebrew General
Ok, so I've been poking around with homebrew for a while now, and have just downgraded to 3.2 due to having encountered several apps that I would like to use that require 3.2. I used Tonas AnyRegion Changer to perform the downgrade, and the process seemed to go fine, but when it got done, ARC showed that there was a system menu/region mismatch and it spouted out a couple errors when I exitedby bg4m3r - Homebrew General
I'm having an odd problem with the HBB. Whenever I go to the Utilities catagory, it crashes back to HBC. Absolutely everything else works perfectly in HBB. I've not seen any other posts regarding this problem, so I'm at a loss here. I just updated it to 0.25b and the problem has persisted.by bg4m3r - Homebrew Applications
I don't have 3.4, I just wanted to be sure that I wouldn't get auto updated if I had WC24 on.by bg4m3r - Software
Ok, so what with 3.4 and the changes to the EULA, maybe WiiConnect24 should be looked at again as a potential problem? I was futzing around with my Wii the other day and realized that I had only turned off the Standby Connection, and not WiiConnect24 completely. I did so and here's some things I found: The New and Forecast Channels not only require WC24 to be on, but the standby connecby bg4m3r - Software
These problems have actually arisen with commercial DVDs, but I will try burning one and see it that works any better. Should I leave out menus? I saw another post where someone had said that loading the menu made for a big performance hit....by bg4m3r - Homebrew Applications
I have fw 3.3u and dvdx is installed. The problems I'm having is that DVDs take forever to load, 5min or more, and I've only managed to wait long enough for one movie to start playing. Second, hoping to avoid the excessive load times, I tried putting files on the SD card (mpg, mp4, etc, not DVD files), but they came up all garbled like it was being decoded improperly. Is there somethby bg4m3r - Homebrew Applications
QuoteDrLuckytrue, but like AIO guides, it doesn't really teach you the process... like a new driver using cruise control before he can maintain the same speed himself. so just learn some first. but the HBB is pretty awesome touche, I just found that being able to see examples made figuring out the rest easier, but then, I'm a very visual learner in general. :)by bg4m3r - Homebrew General
QuoteTensorfrAlright so I create folders in the apps folder to organize the apps I want to run on my wii because I have to rename them to boot.dol, correct? you can't just rename them, there is an elf to dol converter that will fix them for you. I would also recommend getting the homebrew browser. It doesn't have all homebrew apps available, but it has a large selection (most ofby bg4m3r - Homebrew General
I have a bit of info, that may or may not be relevant. I also have no idea why this has happened both times I've tried to access TH. I'm running Wii Firmware v3.3U. When I downloaded TH from the HBC site and copied it onto the SD card, it did not show up in Wii memory management screen. Reformatting the card did no good, using the SD setup tool also was no help, nor did any otherby bg4m3r - Homebrew General
what with the noise and all it kinda sounds like what was happening to Wiis when SSBB came out. A good, proper cleaning of the drive may fix the problem. At least that's what Nintendo had said the problem was then. *shrug* Claims to be produced by Nintendo? Has good reviews regardless.by bg4m3r - Homebrew General
QuoteArikadoActually, tonas anyregionchanger is preffered to downgrade to 3.2U, but only if you're no higher than 3.3v1. As for brawl, it "updated" me from 3.1 to 3.1 I see, I will probably throw that on the SD card too then, just to be prepared for anything. Just to be sure that I'm clear, if he does actually have 3.4 (which I doubt, he doesn't play his Wii a lot since heby bg4m3r - Homebrew General
QuoteArikadoSafest way to downgrade. Okay, good to know. QuotestrongfanYou don't need Starfall to skip the update partition! You can just use Gecko OS! That's how I am able to play Brawl! I see, but I thought Brawl only bumped you up to 3.3? Or does it just up you to the current version if you don't have at least 3.3?by bg4m3r - Homebrew General
I figured he would have to downgrade, but I don't know much about that, especially with 3.4. Can I just use the cIOS Downgrader? Wasn't sure if it was blocked or not.by bg4m3r - Homebrew General
