Problem solved. After uninstalling HBC, updating to the enhanced version of 4.3U, formatting system memory, and reinstalling HBC, I can go to the stage select screen just fine. Looks like Mestizo was right: the enhanced 4.3U update really does make HBC run better (he said faster, but that's still in the better category, right?)! Maybe it had something to do with IOS 58 being updated?by nintendude - Getting Started

Thanks! And the same goes with any possible remnants of the once installed, but "properly" uninstalled DVDx? I'm asking because of jbc007's comment on newer versions the installer not being able to uninstall older versions of DVDx. And, in my case on that comment, I installed and uninstalled DVDx with the Bannerbomb v1 installer back on system menu 4.0U. I'm assuming I should be saby nintendude - Getting Started

Basically, just to review and confirm, all I have to do to remove HBC is to use the Bannerbomb v2 installer and choose to uninstall it, right? Additionally, to remove any remaining traces of HBC usage (which should only be message board history after uninstalling, if I'm not mistaken) is to format system memory, thus wiping everything on the hard drive, including said remnants of HBC, correcby nintendude - Getting Started

How do I uninstall HBC completely? Last time I checked, I have to go through the installer, select 'Uninstall Homebrew Channel' and then it will not only delete HBC from my Wii but also delete the ticket it leaves behind, thus "properly" removing its existance which basically almost completely erases any trace that it was on my Wii, if I'm not mistaken. As I'm sure many of you already know, Apple today announced a tablet device called the iPad. What are your thoughts on it? I personally think that it's an over-sized iPod Touch (or iPhone if you get one with 3G connectivity), even though I can see it as Apple's answer to a netbook. I want a code to not have the stage and characters white out so that I can get great screenshots for pictures and machanimation. As for the code to let you move around after victory posing and staying size, well, I want to be able to move around after doing a victory pose and not reset to 1.0 size if my character's size is altered. Simple question: should I get a PS3? I've been a Nintendo fan for practically my whole life (and will continue to be so), but I was thinking of getting another game system. No problem! I'm always glad to ease the nerves of others who are nervous about upadates as I was. I thought to myself "Screw using alternate methods to get past the official update just so I can use basic things like the Wii Shop Channel!". I updated my Wii to 4.2U about 2 weeks ago and I haven't had any problems with anything. Make sure that you updated HBC to the latest version (which I believe is 1.0.6). The whole reason of why I posted this is because I wanted to give reassurance to those of you who are wanting to update, but are nervous and unsure about doing so (that was me 2 weeks ago). So basically, there's no real reason to update to 4.2 right now? There's no actual improvements that 4.2 brings to Wii as Nintendo claims (even though it sounds like the new update makes things worse rather than better)?
