I only looked in this forum, but not the Feedback forum. Found a topic just like mine less than a minute after posting. ._.by wolfennights - Offtopic
Sorry. I shoulda looked around more. *noob*by wolfennights - Offtopic
I find it ironic that this ad is on the Wiki, stating to be the "best" way to get Homebrew, when there is a guide right here. Pisses me off that assholes like this are stealing your stuff tho. >_>by wolfennights - Offtopic
QuotemusicalmattJust curious, is it known (for anyone that has updated to 4.2) if the Wii Shop Channel is any different? The ring at the top left looks thinner when a page is loading.by wolfennights - Homebrew General
Amazing idea. It will be like going into witness protection. XDby wolfennights - Homebrew General
Comex has a new version of BannerBomb for System Menu 4.2, available here.by wolfennights - Getting Started
Reinstalled the Homebrew Channel on my 4.2 Wii. ...now what?by wolfennights - Homebrew General
Or I could use the new (experimental) Bannerbomb. x3by wolfennights - Homebrew General
QuoteI didn't have the heart to tell him this, but atleast now it's your fault when he cries himself to sleep for deleting his precious homebrew.I kinda realized this after reading through the details of the bricks. Yes, I'm an idiot. Need to learn to research stuff before just acting impulsively. Now to just borrow Brawl from someone...by wolfennights - Homebrew General
I quoted you on the Nintendo Tech Forum site. Wonder how long it will be before it is deleted. QuotemeOkay. I lied. My Wii is a dirty little sl-t. I have Homebrew Channel installed. However, I updated to System Menu 4.2, and it did not brick. So no, the bricks are not caused by so-called "illegal software." The brick happens when the update is writing to boot2, if there is any interruptionby wolfennights - Homebrew General
So they download and install the new boot2 at the same time? Why not download the file, THEN install/write to boot2?by wolfennights - Homebrew General
So why do some Wiis brick while others don't?by wolfennights - Homebrew General
Has anyone ever thought of making a picture that had some sorta exploit encoded in it so that when it was opened in the Photo Channel it would launch boot.elf or boot.dol?by wolfennights - Ideas, requests
QuoteTheManuelBut why bother deleting everything if you already updated?Cus if it did brick, I didn't wanna hafta pay 80 bucks to fix it. Although if it were to brick, it would have done so after I turned it off then back on from updating. Too bad I already uninstalled HBC and don't have Brawl or Indiana Jones.QuoteSwirlyI don't he is afraid of HBC bricking his Wii. He, like I,by wolfennights - Homebrew General
I was able to update safely to 4.2 after also updating Homebrew Channel, but upon learning about Wiis getting bricked even if they were not hacked, I became paranoid and deleted all my Homebrew. I had heard that if your Wii bricks and you don't have Homebrew, they repair it for free, so I just took that precaution in case it DID brick.by wolfennights - Homebrew General
Well, that doesn't mean they don't want even more!by wolfennights - Homebrew General
QuoteI meant playing Wii games that aren't released in Europe. Rune Factory Frontier or the blood version of No More Heroes being examples.Ahh. Makes sense. Region-locking is stupid. EDIT: The point that I was trying to make was that most people with HBC pirate, but I assumed that Waxy Pumpkin meant playing games on SNES emulator, not trying to get free GCN/Wii games. My bad.by wolfennights - Homebrew General
By "import games" I assume you mean either SNES games that were never released over here that you play using an emulator, or buying VC games from out of their region. Whether or not this is pirating is up to debate, although playing burned GCN/Wii "backups" is pirating. My point is, most HBC users use emulators for the Wii, like Snes9x GX. I was trying to show that most of those "noobs" on youby wolfennights - Homebrew General
Don't try to be all "lol, stupid noobs pirating games." What do most of you use the Homebrew Channel for, anyway?by wolfennights - Homebrew General
My Wii is safe. Just turned off WiiConnect24. Thankfully, it wasn't an automatic update.by wolfennights - Homebrew General
If it is done automatically, then I am screwed. Dammit, why did I decide to leave WiiConnect24 on even during standbuy? I knew that glow I saw downstairs earlier seemed more ominous than before....by wolfennights - Homebrew General
Snes9x GX saves work on Snes9x on PC. The snapshots might not, though,by wolfennights - Homebrew Applications
FCE Ultra already emulates Famicom, you just need the the Famicom Disk System BIOS.by wolfennights - Homebrew Applications
I agree. When I play Fire Emblem 4 on the SNES, the sound plays a little bit faster than it did on the last version of the emulator. Haven't noticed that on other games, but that doesn't meant it's not there. EDIT: He just updated the emu half an hour ago. Try that one.by wolfennights - Homebrew Applications
