QuotemanraydsDoes anyone know the release dates for HBC 10 and twilight hack 0.2? No.by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
/\ /\ /\ How exactly that works? Also, a WAD is a container file, right? It's like ZIP... But it's not self-installing. I mean, you need a installer to copy the right files to the right places with the right permissions to the game works in the right way. It's all about rights, right? :Pby DanielHueho - The Junkyard
You can find a lot, and lot, and lot of info on the "backup cIOS" anywhere, but not here... But just to answer the second part of your question (so this topic will end): the cIOS installer downloads the IOS36 from Nintendo servers, patch it, and install it as IOS249. So it doesn't overwrite any existing IOS. But be aware: some IOS avaiable on that server has been changed by Nintendo.by DanielHueho - The Junkyard
A hint, friend: Use the time machine and advance to november of 2008 :P The 10-minute time limit for using the HBC (like a demo) was a joke from the start of the year. The HBC beta 9 version (and the HBC8, 7, 6...) doesn't have this issue.by DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
Try updating your Wii... BUT NOT WITH INTERNET UPDATE. Pickup a game disc from last year, like Super Mario Galaxy, or Mario Kart, and run the update from it.by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
FINALLY!!! I GOT WII64 COMPILED!!!!!!! THE QUEST IS OVER!!!! Ok, back to normal. emukidid, I compiled last Wii64 revision (442), using the latest libogc git and with devkitppc r15... The reason why I saying that: I tested F-ZERO, and theres no more the random menu issue, but the debug still shows 16 MB of "free memory"... Maybe I fu**** the build, I don't really know how, but still, maybby DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
@SpyroDragon The "special method" is a dangerous procedure, and I don't know if works with other app than WAD Manager.by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
Oh, hi emukidid! I don't remenber well, but I think it was something about 10K of memory. I will try to check it later, but probably someone will give you a better answer before me :Pby DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
This discussion is getting very interesting!by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
Quotedaniel_c_w Does PachMii only work with remote IOSes, or is it able to copy and patch installed IOSeseses? PatchMii downloads the IOS WAD, and patches the WAD. Maybe I am wrong, but because the NAND content is encrypted, PatchMii is unable to grab the IOS from there and then patch it. Unless you have the encryption keys, but that's the reason why someone uses Xyzzy [:P] Also, I needby DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
cIOS Patchmii Installer with Korean Disc Support This apparently is based on cIOS Patchmii Installer from Tona, but implementing Korean Disc support and the features form rev06 of Waninkoko cIOS. It also uses IOS37 instead of 36. I didn't find about this in other forums... Also, this article have a link for some "GeckoOS 1.07b with Korean Disc Support". I downloaded the pack for checkiby DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
So, that's interesting. In some weird way, the 23Oct disabled PatchMii too.by DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
Yep, the 23Oct doesn't affect DVDX itself, only the installer.by DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
Just run the installers using HBC. You need a internet connection. P.S: If your Wii have the 23Oct update, you don't need to use this patch. It only have use for who doesn't updated the Wii, for keeping the old versions of the IOSesby DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
Why exactly you want to use Xyzzy? It's a pretty technical app, you know, and unless you are hacking your Wii, is kinda useless... But about your question... No idea :-/ Do you have some cIOS installed? Because Xyzzy looks a free slot for installing the temporary IOS, maybe this is interfering.by DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
Thanks for the answers, everybody! QuotetonaOpera is used as a backend for a lot of the Wii Menu (The Setting Menu, etc.). You can actually extract the HTML out of it and view it on a normal browser. Hmm, I'm not a expert, but so that means a lot of code of the Wii Menu is actually based on Opera, right? At least the GUI...by DanielHueho - FixMii
@strongfan Are you using a normal SD card or a mini/micro card with an adapter? Also, are you using pure Linux? You don't have Windows installed to check if the card is working right? (I know Wii have normal access to the card, but at least to check it/backup it.)by DanielHueho - Offtopic
@whodares: Well, when a solution for a problem is really, really short, it can be funny or tragic. Anyway, sorry. @strongfan: If is read-only, I guess you can make a backup of your card content. Do it and try reformating. EDIT:by DanielHueho - Offtopic
It's a good idea, BUT, dcelso, as far I know, is the only fella who got Wii64 compiled. Maybe another people made it, and can keep compiling, but... Speaking of dcelso, the build he made is personalized with Wiimote support. So maybe this is the reason for the randomly appearing menu bug.by DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications

Quotesmash_legendI need a hacking app you know like an action aeplay sort of Try GeckoOS. It comes with a cheat system. Quotesmash_legenddose anyone know of a N64 emulator other than Wii64( I load the games but they never start) and is thare a DS emulator No and no.by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
Maybe because it comes WITH A VIRUS!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Just kidding, probably was a request from the Wii64 crew. The emu is still very buggy, after all.by DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
BUAAAA!!!! (crying) How he compiled that? It was impossible... Oh, damn it. Finally I will play N64 on my Wii, or almost... In the latest video of Wii64, F-Zero was running smoothly, so I will give a try on that. EDIT: (following the previous layout...) Tested: F-Zero X (U) (.z64) Results: Runs at great speed, around 40-55 fps, with sound disabled, in Pure Interpreter mode. Unfortunatby DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
@col70 Try to copy the files to the folder of the app you want to convert, not the "apps" folder itself, and then you run the bat file. If this doesn't work in anyway, you can try the command prompt method. Run the command prompt as administrator and type: X:\ cd apps/homebrew powerpc-gekko-objcopy.exe -O binary "boot.elf" "boot.dol" exit Where is "X", you put your SD card lettby DanielHueho - Homebrew General
I'm boobing around Wii stuff, and I got some few questions about bricking... What's exactly is the Opera 404 brick? And why this even exists, if you have to download Opera in the Shop Channel? Or the app is somewaht integrated into Wii Menu?by DanielHueho - FixMii
1. WAD Manager is mainly used for piracy. WiiBrew don't support piracy. Using a algebrical notation, as A=B and B=C, A=C. In other words, WiiBrew don't support WAD Manager. Search for it in any other place. 2. I'm polite, so I will answer some questions of yours: - You don't "play" WAD files. You install WAD files, to make them available from Wii Menu - Custom, homemadeby DanielHueho - The Junkyard
i had no lucky with emu tried to run crash 2 bin stuck on black screen i can't select the cue file maybe using it fix the problem but i don't know how... i'm typing this on a psp and sucks :Pby DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
@Neoprenanzug Oh. Hmm, my sister used to watch this show. Still, the Wii puns are funny.by DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
@NeoRez Probably with the "special method", right?by DanielHueho - Homebrew General
@strongfan YARR_Huh? I didn't get it... You are a good writer, though. @KruperTrooper Don't get offended, but... Oh, I don't care. You are stupid, pal. If you want Dolphin help, look for Dolphin forum. If you want a GC emulator for Wii, probably you don't know what is a Wii.by DanielHueho - Homebrew Applications
