Hm, hacking games that already have Wii Speak to use a Bluetooth headset might not be that hard.by HyperHacker - Homebrew General
That's running in Wii mode though; it's not really relevant.by HyperHacker - Homebrew General
Potential problem: some PS2 games are on CD-ROM; the Wii can only read DVD. It's not a big problem, because you can use ISOs or an external drive, but it kinda kills the effect. :P (Being able to stick an actual PS2 disc in your Wii and play it would be pretty awesome.)by HyperHacker - Offtopic
Yeah, it'd be nice if we had more info on that speaker. I'd love to make an alarm clock out of it. :P Hm, if you could use the IR/motion sensors to get an idea of where the Wiimote is relative to the screen, you could use them for a realistic surround-sound/augmented reality effect. As you move the Wiimote toward the sound source, it gets louder, etc.by HyperHacker - Homebrew General
It does kinda bug me when games don't offer customizable button mapping, because it's really not that hard to do. Instead of if(Buttons & BUTTON_A), do if(Buttons & JumpButton). Then you just need to read the value of JumpButton from a config file. Simple.by HyperHacker - Homebrew General
Hm, what if you actually held the Wiimote in the same position as the paddle, and moved it back and forth?by HyperHacker - Homebrew General
To explain as simply as possible (to the best of my knowledge): Fakesigning ("trucha signing") tricks IOS into thinking the program it's loading was written by Nintendo. Modchips prevent the DVD drive from realizing it's reading a burned disc. If you want to load homebrew from discs, you need both, because the program was not written by Nintendo and you're using a burned disc.by HyperHacker - Homebrew General
Neat, but I'm more curious about how the actual exploit works. Also, "/_sys/IOS"? Is that a path on the disc?by HyperHacker - Software
Thanks. Hopefully we won't just get a bunch of people now complaining they liked it the other way. :Pby HyperHacker - Feedback & Support
All it does is save file replacement. I haven't used it but I've heard two different explanations about how it works, neither worth the money. Some say it's no more than pre-hacked, encrypted save files, while others claim it lets you load your own save file and apply hacks from a list.by HyperHacker - Offtopic
On this forum after you reply to a post, it takes you back to the topic list. It's kind of annoying because I like to read over my post after submitting to make sure it came out as expected. Can this be fixed?by HyperHacker - Feedback & Support
It's probably one of those silly "Wii media centre" things that's really just a Flash file and a stripped-down web server. You browse to it on the Internet Channel and hey, streaming video. Plus, obviously, a Mii extractor.by HyperHacker - Offtopic
Maybe we could tie Wiimotes to our legs and use the motion sensors instead of having a pad.by HyperHacker - Homebrew General
Ocarina could be modified to work with channels, but adding support for a new version of Flash that way may be more difficult than porting an existing open-source browser.by HyperHacker - Homebrew General
Someone needs to write a loader that can load another homebrew app and pass it some parameters, and have the app return to it when done. Then you'd have a file browser where you select a ROM, and it loads the appropriate emulator.by HyperHacker - Homebrew General
I wonder if an MIOS hack can do this. The way I understand it MIOS should still have access to all the Wii hardware while the game is running in GC mode. It might be necessary to hack the game to communicate with MIOS instead of the BBA though.by HyperHacker - Homebrew General
It's not as simple as "running a program in the background", because the games/system aren't designed for it. You'd have to patch into the game, load your code into some free memory, change its allocation routines to not free or overwrite that memory, and hook somewhere to have it run. A hacked IOS would help with this, but it'd still be a lot of work. Then you'd have toby HyperHacker - Homebrew General
Apparently, it does something to the Mario Kart Channel banner:by HyperHacker - Software
