ive made a few changes. first, i changed the text to be bigger and now i think i might have to rearrange some stuff and let the text go across the whole top of the screen and but the buttons below. and now after the update, there pops up a list with scrollbars with each file name and "updated ok" and "failed hash check" and what not so you don't have to try to read all the text whiby giantpune - Ideas, requests
im not too fond of that techno music. It makes me want to take a handful of beans and whip out the glowsticks. Anyways, try this out and see if everything works for you . I have disabled the gecko output and I think the button sounds might be only coming from 1 side of the stereo. It was a biatch with all the cables from my Wii to my PC and trying to figure out what audio settings I needed toby giantpune - Ideas, requests
Ok, here's where I am right now... I just have a couple minor things to mess with and some code cleanup but I think what I have will work for now. Mainly im looking for some rockin music as it just plays the annoying system menu tune now.by giantpune - Ideas, requests
Ok, well I have a 95% functional GUI going now, but i just used some images i had laying around on my PC. is there a place with a bunch of brawl+ images i could grab from and spice this upwith?by giantpune - Ideas, requests
Here's something i MacGyvered to output to the gecko. . I just use the 2 bottom functions. First init the gecko (in slot B) and then you can use gprintf(); just like printf(). It accepts arguments and all. If you comment out the line 305, then it will not output to the TV but only to the gecko. So far, the only hangup Ive noticed is that it doesn't handle %016llx arguments right,by giantpune - Coding
right now im slapping a gui in there and some simple user input (like renaming old files with a on screen keyboard). but when im happy with it, you can have the source. it is made from a lot of gpl2 code, so im sticking with that.by giantpune - Ideas, requests
ok, well it works fine now with the s in the urls. but the background.png always fails the hash check. Even when i DL the file with firefox, the hash doesn't match the one in the php. What are the default locations for geckoOS versions that work with brawl+? I already have SD:/apps/Gecko192/boot.elf, but im guessing that there are others as well. here's what i have so far andby giantpune - Ideas, requests
i have almost got this finished but i don't know what URLs need to be DLed. the link leads to a page not found. any chance of a full list of urls? EDIT>>>>>>> Ok, well aside from the broken URLs, I have a fully functional program. It isn't much to look at, just a black screen with white text buzzing by, but it gets the job done.... Ive seen videos of people doing this so it is definitely possible. I have still yet to run across the app they are using to try out, but I assume its just a little app to run in the console with a while() loop and the receivebuffer() from the gecko libs and just printf() whatever it receives.by giantpune - Coding
i cant wait to be the next "embarrassing lightsaber youtube kid" with this. somebody get to work!!by giantpune - Ideas, requests
i thought with ATD there still are traces of homebrew in the wii. the message board if you ran an older version of HBC still says you played homebrew channel 6 hours today. if you had preloader, you got a few files left. even if you install a new system menu, the hacks and renamed system menu are still there, right?by giantpune - Homebrew General
XY is 2d. you need X,Y,and Z for 3d. I havent checked in libogc yet, but i assume that you would use the Z the same that you would use X and Y.by giantpune - Coding
using the GC to select in is literally 1 line of code in libwiigui. i just wasn't really worried too much about that when i was working on this. I believe that the GC controller is set to control the grid once it is on the screen. but if it isn't, it will be easy to implement.by giantpune - Testing Corner
This is a modification of a coverwall I had in another project. Since my project was done with LibWiiGui, it was very little work to get this coverwall to work in tantric's emulators. For starters, I have only done snes9x. Please test this out and see if I have broken anything that was not broken before. And if there are any coders who wouldn't mind, please review my code. I have the source for preloader (thanks crediar) and it needs certs.bin to be able to compile it. I already have certs.dat, haxx.certs, menu_certs.bin, root.certs, and a few others. But I don't have certs.bin. Can somebody post the MD5 of certs.bin so I can see if any of the certs I have are the ones needed?by giantpune - Coding
i have a 3/4 bricked wii that only boots dols. id be willing to let it run in its current state for as long as it takes. somebody make a dol i can just run 1 time and leave unattended and im in. who's with me? :Pby giantpune - Offtopic
In the libogc source PAD_ScanPads() uses this for loop for(i=0;i<PAD_CHANMAX;i++) blablablabla... So you can just copy the function into your code and call it PAD_ScanPads1() and then change the loop to exclude the port you're using for other stuff. if you are using GC slot 4... for(i=0;i<PAD_CHANMAX-1;i++) blablablabla... or slot 1... for(i=1;i<PAD_CHANMAX;i++by giantpune - Coding
yes. that is what i mean. there is already a function in libogc to boot the system menu and have it go strait to the settings. I want to know if anybody knows what flags to set differently in that function to boot the system menu and have it show the SD menu.by giantpune - Coding
As the title says, is there a way to launch the system menu and jump to the SD card menu? I am guessing that it will be the same idea as the return to settings function. But instead of setting the flag to open the settings, set one to open the SD menu. Or has anybody even tried to do this?by giantpune - Coding
do you have the .a file for grrlib in your devkit folder? it is looking for one there. if you have all the .c, .h, and ,cpp files you need in your project, then you can take the -lgrrlib line from your makefile.by giantpune - Coding
the wiimote measures force. so just by holding it in your hand you are putting force on it. if you drop it, while it is in the air, there is no force on it. if you hold 1 end higher than the other end, then you are putting more force on the higher end. so, you could take a reading of where it is when the program starts, and then measuring the accelerometer data, you would know where it has moby giantpune - Coding
i believe you would just put your app in the system menu's place and then you can rename the system menu to whatever you want. so if i had a snes emulator and named it 00000043.app and put it in the 00000001/00000002/content folder im guessing it would make my wii a snes player. just make sure you have a way to undo what you are doing otherwise you could end up with a wii shaped snes.by giantpune - Coding
it depends on your sysmenu version. it will be one of the 000000##.app files. i am on 3.2u so mine is 00000043.app.by giantpune - Coding
isfs/title/00000001/00000002/content/ that would make its ID 0x100000002LLby giantpune - Coding
I am having trouble compiling snes9x. I can get the the whole thing to compile, but the linker fails because it can't find -lbvorbisidec.a. Their wiki says download and install devkitPPC r18. But I only see r17 there and the main page says r18 is not released. I tried several things including the SVN libogc. I managed to get the .h files for the lib, but not the .a.
