I don't like the fact that there is no way to navigate DVD menus. If it could, then everything would be awesome.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
It doesn't have to be on the Wii. Someone could just make it for the PC!by strongfan - Homebrew General
QuoteSir_VoeI agree, a Wii pinball homebrew would be great. Going beyond the simple idea, a pinball construction set that uses box2d and a WiiPhysics like interface to allow table creation could be really nice too. thisby strongfan - Homebrew General
lol. I expected that. Oh well. Be sure to include a compiler in the IDE... and make sure the IDE is actually ON the Wii! Also, from now on it is required that every thing on the Wiibrew scene is programmed in BASIC from here on out!by strongfan - Homebrew General
QuotecuberIs it possible that in a future version you won't have to use the PC to input codes all the time? While it's easier.. If you're like me you don't always have the PC available. So it would be a nice thing to have, a bit like Action Replay. this.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
Erm... A program that fixes SD cards? Like the guy above you said, any program that formats the SD card would probably do.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
In that case, you're screwed. Heck! You're screwed even if you get Vista(because vista sucks)! Try looking for an SD card fixer.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
And while you're at it, do you think you can get a GUI generator running, like Visual BASIC?by strongfan - Homebrew General
what would be cooler would be cheats in WiiWare/VC games! Come on! Would it be so hard to do the same thing you do with CDs but with Channels?by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
QuoteParadoxGenius strongfan, plain genius, I never thought that someone with the great wisdom of yours could exist on the internet +_+ kudos to you, thanks alot! Is... that sarcasm? QuoteParadoxAnd how the heck did you figure out that I was "she?" *record scratch* erm... lucky guess?by strongfan - Homebrew General
at least BASIC isn't as hard as #include int main(){ cout >> "Hello world! This is more work than there needs be!"; return 0; } Only to find the console window just flashes at you, then you have to say #include #include(cstdio); int main(){ cout >> "Hello world! This is more work than there needs be!"; return 0; system "Pause"; } Only to find your simple helby strongfan - Homebrew General
you should order an American Wii and American Twilight Princess.by strongfan - Homebrew General
Yes, you can read disks with the TPhack in combination with libdi. Also, I think Paradox is trying to run homebrew on his Wii by burning the Homebrew channel to a disk. She can't do the TPhack as in Korea they don't have TP. Anyhow, I know of no modchip for the wii at all. There are plenty of drivechips out there, but they must be soldered.by strongfan - Homebrew General
unfortunately, Nintendo fails to realize that while we love the games being like the original, we will definitely love it even more with framerate improvements.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
do you have boot.elf in the root of your SD card? Is your SD card formatted to FAT16?by strongfan - Homebrew General
Those are both first person games. The registered version of gamemaker has limited 3d support(with the help of d3d) and one of the easiest 3d games to make with gamemaker is an FPS. So naturally, making that kind of game would be almost a piece of cake.by strongfan - Homebrew General
Or, we could write an interpreter for the assembly language it's programmed in. Interpreters are the most handy thing when it comes to compatibility problems ^_^by strongfan - Homebrew General
Out of curiosity, would the DVD library read DVD-RW's? I don't want to wast a DVD-R that I'm going to want to add more things to.by strongfan - Homebrew General
no, we don't have an internet browser yet. We have the homebrew browser, but that is for downloading homebrew directly to your SD card; it doesn't browse the web. If you think about it, all that we need to do would be to write an HTML interpreter and we would essentially have a web browser. Or even better, we can take the source code for firefox's interpreter and use it. Firefoby strongfan - Homebrew General
last I checked, Ocarina only works for disc games. So, that wouldn't work unless we burned the internet channel to a disk and we all had modded Wiis.by strongfan - Homebrew General
I think he means to stop focusing on network play and try to make it faster first. It's called priorities.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
so, if someone puts this into their homebrew, it will boot into GC mode? If that's the case, could this get GC homebrew to run?by strongfan - Software
Basic is much easier to learn than C++. Gamemaker is easier to learn than basic AND is relatively powerful! And to anyone who thinks you can't make "real games" with GM: Have you ever even used it? It very flexible and even has a built-in programming language called GML for more advanced users. The registered version can do 3D and use DLL's to extend it. This means that GameMaby strongfan - Homebrew General
I just want one released with decent framerate and can be controlled with a GC controller... and cheat codes... and support for most games... and bagels :Pby strongfan - Homebrew Applications
feh. Classic Controller isn't good for controlling N64 games anyway! You're better off with a gamecube controller anyway! Or even better: a gc controller designed to look like an N64 controller!by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
feh. I just found out they only work with Discs. There should be one that works with channels like WiiWare or VC.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
They don't. Every VC game comes with a different emulator designed specifically to fit that game. This is increasingly evident in Starfox 64. When it was first released, the game went normal speed in areas where it would slow down on the N64. Nintendo later updated it to make it slow down the framerate in areas with excessive polygons. Also, if you inject Mario Party into a certain VC Wby strongfan - Homebrew Applications
really? Do graphical errors include framerate? Why don't they release the current build?by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
Hey do these cheats work with VC games? QuoteiofthestormDamn, these cheats work online? Hopefully people are decent enough not to use them online. Hacking killed Metroid Prime Hunters online, and snaking made MKDS less fun (although technically not cheating, it's pretty annoying) and Nintendo really needs to find a way to detect hacks during online play. Probably something that checks memby strongfan - Homebrew Applications
