You DO realize that you can just recopy it from your SD card if he deleted it. If you don't have it on your SD card, you can download it from somewhere.by strongfan - Offtopic
How would that wast memory? You're just drawing half of the screen rather than all of it!by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
those are all the new emulators. Can't you downgrade libFAT?by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
Same with every new emulator(except Wii64). Just download an older version.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
Mac runs Flash 9, and Macs run on a PPC architecture. I see no reason that it wouldn't, other than OS dependency, of course. I've been waiting for a version of the Internet Channel that can download files FOREVER.by strongfan - Homebrew General
Man, you'd think we'd be able to port a Mac application(the Mac IS PowerPC based, after all), but it's probably a lot more complicated than that, isn't it?by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
And somebody would have to set up a server, too.by strongfan - Homebrew General
I have an idea that should (potentially) double emulation speed! (Or atleast save some time on drawing/rendering). Just draw/render half the screen in one frame, and then do the other half the next frame, making sure NOT to erase the previous frame(doing so will result in flickering), but to draw it ON TOP of it! I think would would speed up any emulator alot!by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
It could be theoretically done. Using hooks, that is. However, it would only work if both people had the code on.by strongfan - Homebrew General
You could probably try using a killer app to convince him. Like say, xWhiite Linux?by strongfan - Offtopic
it's what I mark as tollerable.by strongfan - Offtopic
The VC games do not have online.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
yes, let's completely ignore that discussion and get back on topic. So, who has figured out how to download the source?by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
Quotedaniel_c_wQuoteekeekeif you didn't get any new messages, i think it's better to just keep input state in old state rather than pausing emulation and losing some frames exactly. The pause is only needed the resinc both emulators. When the sync is lost you have no other choice. In a lan environment that is no problem, because the lantency and ping is good enough to execute any remby strongfan - Homebrew Applications
Okay, done that. However, when I boot the kernel, it says it cannot initiate the console, and the kernel pannicks. Help?by strongfan - Homebrew General
The Wii is nothing more than an upgraded Gamecube. Their machine code is exactly the same- PowerPC. There's no need to translate anything. Actually, there's no need to emulate anything. What we COULD do is make a runtime environment. It would run the game in Wii mode and then everything else could be achieved by using hooks. It is perfectly possible!by strongfan - Software
I've been trying to install xwhiite on my SD card, and it calls for partitioning my SD card. I've done this, but now none of my apps are appearing on the HBC(I have them in the partiton labled boot, mind you.by strongfan - Homebrew General
grr... I'm trying to get it on my SD card, when all of the sudden the FAT16 filesystem became readonly... AGAIN!!!! This is a hacking community, so does anyone know how to bypass the readonlyness of a filesystem? Is there some kind of Filebrowser that will do that? EDIT:Okay, use partition manager's disk check. It's fixed, now. However, I can't figure out how to label a fby strongfan - Homebrew General
well technically, I pseudocode in a language similar sort of mixed with GML(game maker's language), C/C++, and PHP. EG, a Hello World program in a programming language I made up. #program_type(consol); // tells the made-up compiler it's a console program #include wiiuse; void main(){ console_print("Hello, World! I don't know C++!"); loop(); exit(); } void loop(){ wiiby strongfan - Homebrew Applications
Returning to the HBC works for me to "fix" the bug. It doesn't freeze when I try to return to it, for somereason. And yes, I too use states excessively(mainly because Zelda Parallel worlds is HARD-A*S!by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
ouch! that sucks! Try to convince him of that!by strongfan - Offtopic
Wii64 is useless at the moment, but even still it has made much progress. If he can make it run at 49 fps before Wii64 can, then Wii64 goes out the Window.by strongfan - Offtopic
I think compiling is more of a pain in the ass than coding. I could probably get the hang of C++ if it didn't have makefiles and libraries and all that crap.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
Actually, anything that has to do with the NAND filesystem has potential to brick your wii if something screws up. Installing WADs are most dangerous as the Wii loads banners with the system menu. If the banner is bad, the Wii will freeze and you won't be able to get to the HBC to fix it. The same thing could potentially be the case with save files, as they have a "banner", so to speak.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
It's a problem with libfat. All the latest emulators by that team have that problem. It happens when you frequently use save states. Solution: downgrade to the previous version. It works perfect, then.by strongfan - Homebrew Applications
does it come with a GUI built in? Or do you have to download it?by strongfan - Homebrew General
