I've tried that, too. It doesn't seem to work.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
If Wii64 can load the ROMs, and they are known-good, there is nothing you can do. It isn't perfect yet.by WikiFSX - Getting Started

Okay. Which version of the HackMii Installer are you using? Please post Installer.log.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
He means boot2vx. Are you running 4.2? Have you installed the NSMBWii update from the disc? If so, you have boot2v4. Otherwise, you have boot2v2, v3, or v4. Ceiling Cat can tell you the version. It actually doesn't matter all that much.by WikiFSX - Homebrew General
If you have an Internet failure, the Wii will cancel the update and it will half-complete. I'm guessing Nintendo does something like not updating the System Menu until its IOS is installed.by WikiFSX - Homebrew General

If there was a meta.xml in the WiiSCU package, drop that in the folder and it will work.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
They can't blacklist it, but it's good to hear that this is being exposed. Try and get the word out, and tell people to do it themselves. Also, the next time the HBC bugs them about updates, or if they ever go here, which they might, they will learn it is a scam.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
Gecko will install only the IOS NSMB needs to run if you don't have any version of it. If you have any version of that IOS, Gecko will not install it, and it will not install any other IOS ever.by WikiFSX - Homebrew General
IOS3 is a stub. It does nothing, it's just there to provide one less open IOS slot.by WikiFSX - Software
I thought it was Shigeru Miyamoto, and I can't explain why.by WikiFSX - Offtopic
Piracy is definitely illegal. Backups are illegal because you can't circumvent anti-copying systems, which is ridiculous.by WikiFSX - Getting Started

The screen's resolution is no higher, it's just bigger.by WikiFSX - Offtopic
QuoteMarth21Well there we have it. It is completely safe to play any region if you have gecko. Bricks arise when you try to use an out-of-region System Menu. As Gecko does not let you install any System Menu whatsoever, you cannot be bricked when playing out-of-region games.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
Not true. Samba is a Linux/Unix application designed to allow those systems to function as a SMB client or server.by WikiFSX - Offtopic
Quotedz63What does that mean? Am I supposed to have my wii set up on a wifi to the internet? Yep, or else it will not work. It has to download the IOS. I think, however, that you can use NUS Downloader to get a WAD of IOS30v1040 and use wadImport to install it.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
The latest update deletes older versions of the HBC (1.0.4 and below) and DVDX (v1). If you do not have boot2v4 and have BootMii installed, BootMii will be uninstalled. After the update, it can again be installed. 4.2 managed to block the HackMii Installer (and thus, most homebrew usage) for about a day.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
It only affects region-changed Korean Wiis, yes.by WikiFSX - Offtopic
Gecko OS, the only tool that isn't a modchip that lets you do that, will never install System Menus.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
As long as you don't try to install an out-of-region System Menu, your Wii won't brick from playing out-of-region games.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
Certain bricks still affect BootMii/boot2 users. If the power goes off and you are installing an update from a newly-released Wii game (NSMB is a good example) or are installing System Menu 4.2, your Wii could brick, as it overwrites the area where BootMii is stored as part of the update. Plus, the bricking event occurred at a lower level, so SaveMii will not work.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
Yeah. Stuff like that often doesn't work after an update because you practically have to mutilate your Wii to get it to work.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
QuoteMuzeroAttempts are made from wii > data management > channels > sd card, then inserting the card With bannerbomb v2, you need to go to the SD Card Menu. (found by selecting the SD card shown on the title screen)by WikiFSX - Getting Started
How do you know how long the boot2 updater had been in development? It has been unchanged since 2006, but we can assume that it was at least 2 years old then.by WikiFSX - Offtopic
Try using Smash Stack or Indiana Pwns.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
You don't need to use bannerbomb, you can just update through the HBC. That will also allow you to install the newest version of DVDX. BootMii beta 5 can be installed over beta 1, but the 4.2 update removes BootMii if you are using a boot2 version older than v4, which you are. What you should do is make a NAND backup before you update, and install BootMii afterwards.by WikiFSX - Getting Started
