If you chipped it, your Wii still wouldn't have the Trucha Signing bug which permits modified discs, so you can't run some sort of unbrickerby metroid_maniac - FixMii
A loooooooong time ago, Nintendo made it impossible to change your Wii Shop Channel region. How does Nintendo identify your console?by metroid_maniac - Software
I think if you have opened it you are not under warranty, but I'm no expert on the matter.by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
Once you have used the exploit once, the homebrew channel is installed and you do not have to keep the game meaning you can just rent the game.by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
It looks like you're stuck like that. making an autoboot disc requires the trucha bug, which your Wii Menu definetly doesn't have. Sorry.by metroid_maniac - FixMii
Hmm. IF you are still under warranty you could send it in to nintendoby metroid_maniac - Getting Started

Where is smash stack not working? what happens when you open the stage editor select? make sure all your custom stages are removed, except from smash stack.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
I have an old wad of HBC BEta 8 laying around, but I may have older versions of hackmii installer. BRB.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
a copy of Indiana Jones: The original adventure is hard to find. Install Homebrew Channel and Bootmii/Boot2 if possible using bannerbomb, and then use dop-Mii Wiibrew Edition to install System Menu 4.3 and the latest Wii Shop Channel. Follow the guide at and then download , and put the "apps" folder straight onto the SD card, not in any folders. Then launch DOP-Mii from the Homebrew Channel.by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
No delete HAXX, etc means old HBC versions will not be deleted. That's what it's for.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
Send it back in to Nintendo, if you haven't installed anything hombrewby metroid_maniac - Getting Started
Don't downgrade your System Menu, use Priiloader hacks. Simply turn on the "block checks for HAXX, RZDx,etc" and older hombrew channel and twilight hacks will not be deleted. BTW, what brick protection do you have?by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
Thanks everyone, It'll be fun playing with this. EDIT: Can has redistribute and repackage?by metroid_maniac - Ideas, requests

YEs, that was a change made in Priiloader 0.6by metroid_maniac - Homebrew Applications
You can use the anytitle deleter bushing's mod to delete the homebrew channel, etc. and shared2clean to get rid of other stuff. You also probably have REMOVED installed, which makes your backups load from disk channel. You can use dop-mii wiibrew edition to remove REMOVED by installing vanilla, nintendo IOS's. Oh, and you probably don't have a modchip.by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
QuoteTiLiMayorHow do I tell if my wii was ever opened? How do I tell if my wii have a modchip installed? Is it safe to update a wii with a modchip? How do I make my wii to be as legit as out of the box? There is no real way of telling if your Wii was opened. The only way to check if your Wii is chipped without opening it is to see if backups will run with unmodified IOS's. Run dop-Mby metroid_maniac - Getting Started
Not that I want to revive a dead topic, buuuuuuut... No kind of Wii is much better for homebrew, but some newer ones (don't know serial) cannot read DVDs and can't install Bootmii/Boot2 brick protection. It is also rather easy to make your Wii a virgin again, using ATD (bushing's mod).by metroid_maniac - Getting Started
QuoteWii404 I also assume Priiloader hacks will work correctly? Oh yes.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
Quoteg_manInstalling Priiloader will not brick her wii. PROBABLY. There is always some risk, if the power cuts out, it will brick.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew General
Is your Metroid Prime disc from another region? The Wii System Menu only accepts games from your region.by metroid_maniac - FixMii
DO you have to latest version of Priiloader? if not you can update by running the Priiloader installer again.by metroid_maniac - Homebrew Applications
You can also use Priiloader and System Menu hacks to load region free games through the disc channel, but you should only install Priiloader if you have Bootmii installed as Boot2by metroid_maniac - Getting Started

Quoteviper157Ok this is driving me crazy. Had my Wii 4.2U setup with Homebrew and MPlayerCE (can't remember exactly which version). Used to stream audio and video from an XP box with issues. Work great ever since installing HBC. Performed the safe Wii shop channel update (http://gwht.wikidot.com/wii-shop) via method Dop-Mii. Updated IOS 56 and 61 per the instructions.
