One that is using ios 249 may help, below is my mod of the title lister that saves the title list to sd card optionally... original mod source with no ios reloading :by WiiCrazy - Homebrew Applications
If you have the keys of your wii, there is a slight chance that it could be possible but I've never seen someone doing that... Either there is no existing tool to do that or there are some missing keys of our wiis or the file format is not reversed well...by WiiCrazy - FixMii
Possibly you need to use rescue disc to initialize the chip... that one is not region coded and since it's a gamecube disc you should be able to use that... As I said previously I never messed with a wiikey chip so this is all in theory... Btw, there is no update disabling the gc mode discs used to update&config chips as far as I know... First, find the appropriate rescue disc, try toby WiiCrazy - FixMii
Full ported source is here, The crucial part is below, it fails in net_setsockopt bzero((char *)&sin,sizeof(sin)); /* clear sin struct */ sin.sin_family = AF_INET; host2addr(&myip, &sin.sin_addr,&sin.sin_family); /* host */ sin.sin_port = htons(9); /* port */ if ((sd=net_socket(AF_INET,SOCK_DGRAM,IPPROTO_UDP)) < 0) { fprintf(stderr,"Can't get socket.\nby WiiCrazy - Coding
It seems that your chip's region clashes with the system menu region... say your chip's region configured to ntsc-j but your system menu accepts pal discs... or vice versa... I guess you can change the region of your chip using it's support discs (rescue, config) If that doesn't work, you can swap the drive with a chipped drive that matches your system menu region.. Anyone examined the diffs with the previous version? Any clue to what's changed? It seems it was released a few days ago... Another question, I attempted to compile and run a simple wake on lan application but ogc doesn't seem to be correctly handling udp server sockets, any info regarding that? Is it a missing feature, buggy or a limitation of the wii itself?by WiiCrazy - Coding
Check my small homebrew app, you can have a custom logo, music or a video file playing at boot, Cashman also have a similar applicationby WiiCrazy - Software

QuotePeterdeMana startup tune for the Wii. Wow yeah that is cool. I'll think about how it should sound. greetingz, Peter de Man Is there any progress? Here is an idea : what about something like this, capture the sound from drive upon start and improvise the rest changing the initial drive sound a bit making like drive sound grows bigger... a nice effect... and a melody that swingby WiiCrazy - Coding

It would be nice to have something for the opening of the wii... I'll add a default screen and default sound to my new stuff... Your name will be properly credited in the readme of the program.by WiiCrazy - Coding
Anyone know the name of this effect that I'll describe... Picture stripe by stripe leaves screen, using sine(in this case cosinus possibly) values... the lower part leaves the screen faster with more space between stripes (start of the cosinus wave)... space between stripes becomes smaller as the picture gets out of the screen (the rest of the cosine wave till it becomes zero...) Well I know it's not much risky actually, the real reason is I can't find the multilanguage bmg file at the moment... all I can find is the ipl_common.bmg which contains only spanish text... and most of the multilanguage stuff (menu html&css&gif) there is in the ipl_settings.ash which are compressed with a strange lz77 compression... Really no reason to just change the bmg to make it sby WiiCrazy - Homebrew General
By the way tmd approach now seems to me a little bit more risky since preloader also should be relying on that small file to be booted... anyways... I'll start by something that have nearly zero risk.. will try to change the language set in wiifit channel... and by that time at least I can get the small bmg modification tool handy...by WiiCrazy - Homebrew General
Hmm, I just tried sending a simple txt file to the tmp folder and ftpii rejected uploading it... Guess I need to write a program to do the job... wiifuse stuff is not an option at the moment...by WiiCrazy - Homebrew General
Does this sound safe? I want to create a program to edit bmg file (the file that have the multi language strings) for the system menu... So let's say the whole resource file is in the X. position in the tmd, 1. So I transfer the modified resource file to the system menu title directory using ftpii with a different index (I never tried but it allows I guess) 2. Did you try the maintenance menu and formatting? On one case, if a wii receives a bulky message from a friend it may cause random freezes just like you mentioned... give it a go... edit: hmm, format option should also be in the normal mode setting menu I guess... so no need to go into maintenance menu...by WiiCrazy - FixMii

I solved the same problem of mine just changing the order of libogc and libfat in the makefile so that libfat precedes libogc (-lfat -logc) but now getting not implemented error for a system fopen call in runtime..... fopen("sd:/hede.txt", "rb") ps: with the latest devkitproby WiiCrazy - Coding
Are you sure mario strikers charged has a newer update than the one installed on your wii (3.1) It's an old game.. I don't think it has... use semi-brick fix disc of your region... it has 3.2 update... you don't need to make it autoboot...by WiiCrazy - FixMii
Hold the power button till the light turns to red... if you just press it wii goes to stand by mode for wiiconnect24 stuff.. in that mode you can't boot into recovery mode.... better do this... (just for the sake of better explanation)... while savemii plugged... 1. Insert the autoboot disc into the drive 2. turn off the power (remove the power cable plugged to the wii) 3. turn on thby WiiCrazy - FixMii
QuoteShovAgeYes, there's a tool which calculate the checksum for TP savegame. I saw how the checksum is calculated and now it works. My questions are: - How segher found the way to calculate the checksum ? By reversing the game itself ? There is a tool to fix zelda hack's checksum or something I never cared to look into what that program does or how it does... maybe it does the checksum stuff you are mentioning.. it's in the segher's tools... btw: why do you invest your time in TP? Well I switched the code to the atmacana's LZ77Stream, it's pretty fast but uncompressed stream is not recognized by the program for the banner.bin And Vs2008's auto indentation on vb projects is just giving me some hard times... how can I turn them off?by WiiCrazy - Homebrew General
Ok I'm taking the apology... put the link back on... it doesn't contain any illegal stuff anyway and actually it's not much interesting at all. It was just a response to the weird initial post... Taking all the hassle to open the system menu archives and such but in the end relating it to the semi-brick fix disc... There is a protection for wiiware & online games & vc games in the system menu... you should use gecko os rebooter function to patch the system menu to remove the protection temporarily...
