My usb connected hard drive used to read at speeds of 4.7 mb/s now for some reason it is down to just over 1 mb/s! What gives here? anyone experience the same problems.by smeesmay - Homebrew Applications
what i did was head out to wiihacks and got a copy of the boot file some guy created to access usb 2.0. this i replaced with the original in the genplus folder and it fixed my issues. I am not connected to the internet though so I am not sure if this will fix your problem but its worth a shot.by smeesmay - Homebrew Applications
no one has what it takes or is it copyright issues?by smeesmay - Ideas, requests
I want someone to finally step up and create some manly, or at least beyond 5 yr old additions to the mii creator. I want some cool clothes, mean snarls and an eyepatch for example. XBOX360 has this stuff, but nintendo can't make anything that might make a finger waggle. Someone here on this very forum has what it takes. Step up. Post here and let them know to get it rolling. If i knew muchby smeesmay - Ideas, requests
thanks. but no help. didn't tell me how to fix mine. looking more to help noob's figure out where to put the different apps to get them to run if you have an attached usb harddrive and dont want to fill up space on your memory card. just stating something works hardly needs a 2nd post, let alone a firstby smeesmay - Getting Started
thanks, my problem was that it has to be installed on sd card and not usb drive. fixed it. if your new check out my tread "homebrew installations--READ THIS" or something like that (can't remember what I called it) but i tested like 25 apps and such and got some tips and tricks to get them all to work.by smeesmay - Getting Started
Runing all my emus on USB2.0 (along with homebrew etc). Running just a couple homebrew games on sd card (no homebrew on this). Question/concern/annoyance that i can't figure this out is: I cannot see any of my apps on the USB drive whenever the SD Card is installed, but I see all SD card channels (in homebrew). When i take the card out....BAM....all my apps on usb show up in homebrew.by smeesmay - Getting Started
so i wanted my wii running it all. Give credit 1st to all coders and designers who got their products to the stage where playing is an option. I have a 2tb usb 2.0 hooked to my wii. Latest ios's and the works. what i have compiled is a list of what homebrew apps can be ran straight from harddrive and which have to be ran from a sd card. 1st off all harddrive info is in a 450gig Fat32 partitiby smeesmay - Getting Started
found an updated dol file someone created themselves on wiihacks forum for wii64. It supports usb2.0. worked like a dream. and on the genplus not sure what i downloaded but its working under the genesisplus homebrew icon, but not the genplus icon. go figure but it works so I'm not complaining. Thanks for the great emu work. top notchby smeesmay - Getting Started
Downloaded kidspaint2.0 and when it loads....nothing. Wondering if others are having this issue. Could a moderator please install and see if they can get it running. my daughter would love itby smeesmay - Getting Started
THANKS. I saw that i was talking to the Master(system)ha ha himself. The help is sure appreciated. I'll try the fixes tonight. still not sure about the wii64 but thats another day another time. I feel as though I am putting the files where they go. Does the newest wii64 support the usb2 also?by smeesmay - Getting Started
just got last built sorry, didn't know i had to have 7zip to open it. will try again. When i do unzip just delete old genplus totally and put this in intstead?by smeesmay - Getting Started
thats my issue, I have created a roms and saves folder inside the genplus folder in the apps folder on usb. Error loading. So then i tried straight genplus folder on root (not in apps) and put the roms folder in there. still no luck, It does not let me go out and search for it in the genplus program so I am kinda stuck. same for wii64. i saw there was a usb2 patch someone created will that solveby smeesmay - Getting Started
havin more trouble. Seems that both the genplus and wii64 app are not working properly. I have put each in apps folder on sd and usb drive. Neither will create a rom/save folder like tantrics great products. the instructions state to create the folders on the root of drive which has been done to no avail. I cannot seem to get these folders to show up inside the program. when i try to download theby smeesmay - Getting Started
ok one other question. I want to download a couple of the homebrew games from the wiibrew site. once downloaded where (what folder etc) do i stick these to play them? Also do I need the source?by smeesmay - Getting Started
another question. Everything is on my sd card. If I copy everything to the usb harddrive will i have to create new paths for homebrew or the emulators. I know that everything now is on the sd and there are channels for a couple of the emulators.and I know how to copy and paste all this to the usb root of the Fat32 partition I created. What I do not know is how the WII will recognize this is now oby smeesmay - Getting Started
do you know how large a fat32 partition i can make to house all these apps and music? i am running 100gig now but have 1tb to work withby smeesmay - Getting Started
thanks, now do you know if all the emulators support this? I'm fairly certain the homebrew has to run from the sd but if I put mp3's on the usb in the fat32 partition can I play those in the WiiMC app if its running from SD?by smeesmay - Getting Started
i was wondering if the rom folder of these emulators can be put on a usb harddrive in fat32 format and be played that way instead of using an sd card.by smeesmay - Homebrew Applications
I have a usb harddrive with a Fat32 file system attached to my wii. Which programs from wiibrew will run soley from this harddrive without the need to be on a sd card. My sd card is full and I'm wanting to add a metronome amoungst other homebrew apps. Thanksby smeesmay - Getting Started
I was wanting to know which applications can be installed and soley ran on a 2 terabite usb harddrive. I have 1tb to wbfs format, 100 gigs to Fat32.
