What application are you running?by MattMan - Getting Started
I believe you are correct on all assumptions, except that you may have a small chance of corrupting your SD card. The only way the freezing could be harmful is if the application is making changes to the NAND when it freezes, which MPlayer doesn't do.by MattMan - Homebrew Applications
They should be downgradable because they are all trucha patched and you could just fakesign an IOS with a lower version number. Also, how do the hex version numbers translate to the numbers we more commonly use?by MattMan - Offtopic
Yeah, it has quite a few bugs still.by MattMan - Getting Started
Ahh, that makes perfect sense. You could probably even patch the Brawl disc to run on IOS60 and enable SDHC compatibility.by MattMan - Homebrew Applications
Google File Replacement Code 3.5.1, but that's probably the one you already have. If it is, I'm guessing that your SDHC card simply isn't compatible. Edit: Try renaming your "Private" folder to "private".by MattMan - Homebrew Applications

@profetylen The PAL versions are usually behind in releases, because the coders create the cheats for NTSC-U first. Maybe the version you are using doesn't have the File Replacement Code, you could try adding it manually if you can find it for PAL. @Jazeps Are you using the File Replacement Code in your .gct file? You need that to use textures. If it still doesn't work, try usinby MattMan - Homebrew Applications

Downgrading IOSes on LU64+ or equivalent Wiis does not result in an automatic brick, the downgraded IOS just won't function properly. The Wii will brick if you attempt to downgrade the System Menu IOS, because it will become nonfunctional. It will also brick if you attempt to downgrade the System Menu to a lower version than what came preinstalled on the Wii.by MattMan - Getting Started
If you want to play DVDs, you need to install DVDx and then use MPlayer CE to play them.by MattMan - The Junkyard
QuoteSifJar And dont do it if your serial number starts LU64+ (LU64, LU65, etc). Downgrading IOS 35 will brick them I think. It won't brick them, it will just stop IOS35 from functioning correctly. You will know if this is the case, because Dop-IOS MOD will crash when reloading IOS35. You can fix this by simply reinstalling the new version of IOS35. However, attempting to downgrade your Sby MattMan - Getting Started

The PatchMii Installer failed because you don't have any trucha vulnerable IOSes. The only way to get these on your firmware are through unsupported methods.by MattMan - Homebrew Applications
It would be illegal in itself to distribute a NAND image, wouldn't it? And I am pretty sure that GBATemp doesn't allow links to copyrighted code.by MattMan - Offtopic
Try using the -Trucha option to install the IOSes, and afterwards reinstall the Wii Shop Channel.by MattMan - Getting Started
The Homebrew Channel should continue to work after the 4.1 update. You don't need to install BootMii, but it would be a good idea to do so and make a NAND backup before and after you update.by MattMan - Getting Started
They are bugs that allow applications to access the Wii's NAND.by MattMan - Offtopic
If the trucha bug is restored in IOS36, you don't need a cIOS to use channel loading. And I'm not sure if Trucha Bug Restorer is supported here, as CMDVDX34 isn't and it does the same thing.by MattMan - Homebrew Applications

You really shouldn't be doing several of those things and following those guides, because they are illegal, dangerous, and you don't seem to have any idea what you are doing. You don't need those things if you don't know what they do. All you need to do is go to your Wii's settings and select "Update".by MattMan - Getting Started
Wow, hopefully people don't feel offended by your comments and shy away from Wiibrew. Anyway, that guide was terrible! Selling the old Homebrew Channel Installer, Twilight Hack, Homebrew Browser, and some USB Loader for $30? Not to mention, he copied the instructions for the Twilight Hack directly from wiibrew.org.by MattMan - Offtopic
Well, Nintendo isn't completely stupid. I'm sure they've known what must be done to get rid of homebrew (or at least to greatly hinder its development) for a while, but like SifJar said, they don't seem to be very motivated to do it. Perhaps it is too much work, too expensive, or even pointless in their opinion because they know that someone will always find another securityby MattMan - Offtopic
