It should be safe to turn off your Wii, because you were making a backup, not restoring.by MattMan - BootMii Beta
Twilight Princess runs off of IOS9 if I remember correctly. Install it with Dop-IOS or the method SifJar described and the game should work correctly.by MattMan - Homebrew General
Did you sync your Wii Remotes at the Wii Menu?by MattMan - Homebrew Applications
I don't understand at all how that would help you copy protected saves. And if you can install a trucha IOS on 4.0, you may as well install IOS36 and run the Preloader installer.by MattMan - Getting Started
Just try AnyRegion Changer. If that doesn't work, use Wad Import.by MattMan - FixMii
All right, here is how you can fix it: 1) Download Wad Import from Wiibrew and copy the boot.dol file to the root of your SD card. Delete any other boot.elf or boot.dol files that are on the root of your SD card. 2) Download NUS Downloader from Wiibrew and download System Menu 3.2 and IOS30. Make sure you pack both into WADs. 3) Create a folder called 'wad' on the root of yourby MattMan - FixMii
It would need to be the cBoot2 armboot.bin, not the one created by BootMii.by MattMan - FixMii
Quoteflyguy Ps: are waninkokos cios installers legal? Yes, but I don't think they will install on his Wii as he doesn't have a trucha IOS. (Same as the PatchMii Installer)by MattMan - Getting Started
I think he's planning on using LoadMii to read his USB drive.by MattMan - Offtopic
Yes, but I wasn't going to mention this as he can't run the installer, which is the only way to legally obtain the modified armboot.bin. EDIT: Wait, dole2, you can run the installer on a friend's Wii and then transfer the custom armboot.bin to your own Wii! From there you can reinstall IOS30 and the System Menu.by MattMan - FixMii
Try MPlayer TT with libdvdnav.by MattMan - Homebrew Applications
All updates are completely brick safe. But you have more protection from bricking your console if you have BootMii installed as boot2 rather than IOS254. You can only brick your Wii by using dangerous homebrew applictions, not by updating. You won't be banned from Wi-Fi unless you cheat online.by MattMan - Getting Started
Woah! It looks like a good portion of your NAND has been deleted! Basically everything but BootMii must be gone. This might be fixable once a program is developed to run on MINI that can install IOSes and the System Menu.by MattMan - FixMii
It's easier if you download it from the Homebrew Browser.by MattMan - Homebrew Applications
I don't think that will work, unless he has a cIOS. And he can't run the PatchMii Installer because he doesn't have an IOS that accepts fake signatures. I know of one way to legally obtain a cIOS without running the PatchMii Installer, but it uses even more unsupported software. @neen What are the first four letters/numbers of your Wii's serial code?by MattMan - Getting Started
Well, as far as I know, Preloader only modifies IOS60. But it seems that maybe you also installed some other things. Did you follow a tutorial to install Preloader? If so, please provide a link.by MattMan - Getting Started
Exactly, if your SD card is inserted, BootMii boot2 will load every time you start your Wii. This will give you very good brick protection on your Wii.by MattMan - Getting Started
The download link is broken. I will try it once I have confirmation that it is working again.by MattMan - Homebrew Applications
If you want to save space on your SD card, you can copy the NAND dump to your computer and delete the one on your SD card.by MattMan - Getting Started
Hmm... This is a very unusual problem. I don't know why it doesn't work for you, when it works for everyone else. You might have better luck if you contact teknecal or post a message on the Homebrew Browser discussion page.by MattMan - Homebrew Applications
Are you pointing at the application and pressing "A" with the Wii Remote? EDIT: And did you delete any files from the .zip file that you downloaded from Wiibrew?by MattMan - Homebrew Applications
You shouldn't need 4.0 to use the WiiMotionPlus. Just update the four IOSes with WiiSCU and it should work just fine.by MattMan - Getting Started
Just because a site has "nintendo" in the URL doesn't mean it's supported by Nintendo! That site is illegally distributing Nintendo software.by MattMan - Getting Started
Install IOS60 -Trucha and uninstall the Homebrew Channel with the HackMii Installer. Then, reinstall the Homebrew Channel and see if it works. I think the error you are getting when you try to use WiiSCU is from your Wi-Fi connection being lost. This would also explain why the Shop Channel won't load. Just keep trying to install IOS60 until it succeeds.by MattMan - Getting Started
Did you switch your Shop Channel region before trying to remove your account? If so, please explain exactly what happens after you access the Shop Channel.by MattMan - Getting Started
Go to the Shop Channel and select "Start Shopping". Then click on "Settings and Features" and scroll down to "Remove Shop Channel Account".by MattMan - Getting Started
Yes, follow my directions, but don't hit "Go" after you change your Shop Channel region, instead click on "Save Settings". Then exit to the System Menu and access the Shop Channel to remove your account (Step #3). The second time you run AnyRegion Changer and change your Shop Channel country code to 110, hit "Save Settings" again and exit to the System Menu (Step #4). Then, if everythingby MattMan - Getting Started
