Wow... You know, the rules are there for a reason...by MattMan - The Junkyard
After you press reset to accept that "nand.bin" will be overwritten, BootMii should find your Wii's keys. After this, I had to wait about a minute before the backup started.by MattMan - Getting Started
Did BootMii say that it found your Wii's keys?by MattMan - Getting Started
All right, I read the Mplayer CE page and you do need to install DVDx as IOS202 for Mplayer to detect it, sorry for the confusion. Technically, the USB 2.0 cIOS should be able to run on its own, but Mplayer won't detect it unless DVDx is also installed as IOS202.by MattMan - Getting Started
As far as I know, he doesn't need DVDx unless he wants his Wii to read DVDs.by MattMan - Getting Started
For everyone not on System Menu 4.0, with Homebrew Channel 1.0.2 or 1.0.3 installed: Run Bannerbomb/Twilight Hack and update IOS60 with WiiSCU. Now, uninstall the Homebrew Channel with the HackMii Installer and reinstall it.by MattMan - BootMii Beta
Maybe you wear your headphones backwards.by MattMan - Homebrew General
All right, I have another idea. Restore your US backup, connect to the US Shop and create a new account. Then, restore your US backup AGAIN and see what happens.by MattMan - Getting Started
You don't need DVDx to read a hard drive, but you might need the USB 2.0 cIOS.by MattMan - Getting Started
No, cIOS are not illegal, but it is illegal to distribute them because they contain copyrighted Nintendo code. All of the cIOS installers on Wiibrew download and patch the Nintendo IOSes directly on your Wii, and therefore do not need to be distributed illegally.by MattMan - Homebrew Applications
I think downgrading with AnyRegion Changer might have overwritten some of the hacked IOSes from SoftMii. I'd say that as long as your Wii is working now, it should continue to work as long as you don't try to use any of the above software. And I think the hacked IOSes from SoftMii allowed him to downgrade.by MattMan - Getting Started
Just stay away from warez, SoftMii, etc.by MattMan - Getting Started
Then I would switch all the settings to US and install System Menu 3.2U if possible.by MattMan - Getting Started
That is up to you. Just be sure to change the AREA setting to match whatever System Menu you install.by MattMan - Getting Started
You can run the Homebrew Channel from the System Menu just like on any other firmware.by MattMan - Getting Started
Can't you change the AREA setting without internet?by MattMan - Getting Started
Sounds like a semi-brick to me. Change your AREA setting in AnyRegion Changer to match your System Menu Region.by MattMan - FixMii
I really don't understand how being on System Menu 4.0 helped you here.by MattMan - Getting Started
You don't need the key.bin to download and pack IOS60 into a WAD. Just run NUS Downloader, click on the option to pack it into a WAD, and type in the appropriate Title ID and it should all work fine. (The key.bin is just for decryption, which you don't need.)by MattMan - FixMii
I think you will have to wait until a program like AnyRegion Changer is developed to run on MINI.by MattMan - FixMii
Did you make a NAND backup while your Wii was still working?by MattMan - FixMii
The Nintendo servers still think that you are connected to the Japanese Shop Channel. In order to switch back to the US Shop Channel, you must delete your Japanese Shop Account. This is why you had to delete your US Shop Account before switching to the Japanese Shop Channel. The backups are only to keep your downloaded channels; you still have to delete the Shop Channel Accounts before you sby MattMan - Getting Started
Try using libDVDnav, that's what works with all of my DVD's.by MattMan - Homebrew Applications
I mean, restore your Japanese backup, switch to the Japanese Shop, and then delete your Japanese Shop Account like you did before with the US Shop Account. After that, restore your US backup and switch to the US Shop. Unless you mean that you didn't ever remove your US Wii Shop Channel Account before switching?by MattMan - Getting Started
You need to update your Homebrew Channel with the HackMii Installer to use BootMii. Also, the new Homebrew Channel requires IOS60, so you will have to download and install IOS60 or configure your Wii's internet settings and use WiiSCU to install IOS60. (Do this before updating your Homebrew Channel)by MattMan - FixMii
You can't download the Internet Channel with NUS Downloader! Purchase it from the Wii Shop Channel!by MattMan - Getting Started
That should be all you need. I would check the bootmii.ini and see how long the BOOTDELAY is set to. Are you able to click on the icon in the Homebrew Channel and BootMii just doesn't show up, or is the icon not even there? Also, what version of the Homebrew Channel do you have?by MattMan - FixMii
Try restoring your Japanese backup and deleting your Shop Account, then restoring the first backup.by MattMan - Getting Started
Then you should be able to launch it from the Homebrew Channel (it should show up as an option when you press HOME). If not, make sure you have all the necessary files in the 'bootmii' folder. If it still does not show up, it might be a compatibility problem with your SD card.by MattMan - FixMii
