Why is void LoopTheMP3() inside main() ? There are a ton of issues with your code. I really don't know where to start. Are you learning C right now? If so I would start out with something a little easier. BTW the mp3 functions don't work all that well and I'd not recommend you start with trying to make an mp3 player on Wii.by scanff - Coding
Maybe via a system environment variable? Just a guess :)by scanff - Offtopic
QuotemusicalmattDoes anyone know why Nintendo finally set the internet channel free again? also I just downloaded the free opera browser now and i think it's pretty good. yea it is kind of slow, but it can get the job done. if a homebrew internet browser is made, im just curious what kind of advantages it would have over the opera one now. Cool, did not know it's free now. I'veby scanff - Ideas, requests
QuotecagellHey, I am a big fan of wiiRadio, thanks for the great app. I have question though, would it be possible to have it playing on the background when executing other wii brew compatible apps? Thanks again for the great app!!! Cagell I'm sure it would be possible somehow via a loader style program. But having said that WiiRadio uses a lot of memory for buffers, gui and oby scanff - Homebrew Applications
QuoteZeke50100Well, you've got to admit that it is technically better than what the coders here have got so far ^_^ Yes very true but if everyone said "Let's not do it because there's something else" software would never improve. Also for me it's a challenge and a great way to expand my skills.by scanff - Ideas, requests
Yes ... it's very annoying. Sometimes it what pisses me off more is an area of the forum lets say Homebrew General will not show any new messages on the main list. After a few days I get suspicious and click it ..... it lied !!! there are tons of new messages.by scanff - Feedback & Support
If it works from the SD card but not from TCP then I highly doubt it's an SDL issue. This sounds like a file is missing or in the wrong place. Background = Draw::LoadImage("sd:/bg.bmp"); This is on the Root of the SD, right? Not under your app's dir. Also if you're using the SD, you have initialized the file system using fatInitDefault();.by scanff - Coding
Quote If any code you use (libraries or snippets from other programs) falls under GPL licsense, you MUST provide source code and credit original creators. Not true, just credits. If your software adds additional functionality you don't have to provide source.by scanff - Offtopic
QuoteMatandookay, I thought that was too high of a jump, but I would still like to overclock it a little, because I have a cpu usage meter gadget on my desktop and it easily hits 100% when I run programs like firefox, or I simply start up the computer and log on. I don't want it to overclock it too high, but just enough to make my computer run a little smoother. any suggestions on whatby scanff - Offtopic
On spec's I'd be more concerned with meeting the graphics requirements. But there's noway you could get 3 from 1.8. Usually overclocking has to be supported by the motherboard. It will be in the bios settings.by scanff - Offtopic

Anyone know of a good free or open source patch/diff tool for Windows. Thanks :)by scanff - Offtopic
QuoteArikadoQuoteArikadoHomebrew Browser? Yep! Moni7or, It's very simple you develop a game, follow this pakaging guide (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_Browser#Notes_for_Homebrew_Developers), post it to Wiibrew.org. Teknecal will add it to Homebrew Browser.by scanff - Offtopic
Quotedaniel_c_wWhat is redboot? I was thinking about the IOS, because they handle the whole NAND, even the wear leveling. Redboot is an open source bootloader for embedded systems. I've no experience with Wii hardware but usually the flash NAND/NOR size is held in the bootloader.by scanff - Offtopic
Technically - It's what linux uses to share files and read windows shares. But I would think a password free windows share would work, probably FAT32 is best.by scanff - Ideas, requests
Quote to install a larger hard drive on the wii, i mean like backing up a nand and then somehow unpacking it on to a larger HDD and installing it back in the wii? i dont really know much about the physical layout of the inner wii and if the hard drive its removeable and replaceable. Does the Wii have a drive? I thought it was flash memory. Sorry - read the post too fast. Quote Does the softwby scanff - Offtopic
I think you can already use MPlayer (not sure which version) to do this via a SMB share.by scanff - Ideas, requests
QuoteSteelSLasherQuotescanffProblem with WiiSX is it does not support the WiiMote. Which is very annoying :P the wiimote doesnt have enough buttons, you need 2 joystick, 1 dirpad, 4 buttons and 4 more trigger buttons, the wiimote can at max have one joystick and 2 trigger buttons. That depends on the game most I've played just used the D-pad and at max 4 buttons.by scanff - Offtopic

QuoteInstead of making or finding a pls file to put on your SD card, you can just punch in the URL. ie Hardradio mp3 shoutcast PLS URL. Or Direct IP to Hardradio Stream mp3. Both can be typed into the "Play URL" dialog of winamp, and winamp connects and runs with it. Sure, I'll see if I can add it.by scanff - Homebrew Applications
I think run/stop is on the virtual keyboard. On the latest version of Frodo you can select the program to run from the image. It should automatically run it for you.by scanff - Homebrew Applications
QuoteTomCat39Does RadioW (Wii Radio) support ogg streams like winamp? Seems more radio stations are picking up ogg streaming for lower bandwidth higher quality sound. Ogg support will not be in WiiRadio for a while (At least not the next version). Currently just mp3. QuoteTomCat39 Also will "Play URL" be incorporated into this app? Not sure what you mean here?by scanff - Homebrew Applications
QuoteArikadoQuotescanffI'm really not sure how it's going to handle unicode. I think JustWoody managed to do this with Mahjongg Wii. Perhaps you should check out the source? I checked out his source and I think he stores the words as images. I'm allowing the user to skin the gui and add his/her own words. I did find that SDL TTF supports UTF8 and UNICODE, this works.
