Something to do with the IOSes found on Korean Wiis?by bg4545 - Getting Started
Quotejbc007Wii Sports can't have anything higher than 2.0, since it was released at the same time as the wii. Yeah I believe you're right.by bg4545 - Getting Started
BootMii boot2 can be removed the same as IOSby bg4545 - Getting Started
On your SD card, make an "snes9xgx" folder (not in "apps" folder). Put the "saves" folder and "roms" folder in there.by bg4545 - Homebrew Applications
Well IIRC, MIKE comes with an armboot.bin and ppcboot.elf that you can put in the "BootMii" folder and it will load MIKE when you turn on your Wii instead of BootMii.by bg4545 - Wii Linux
Oh, so there's no way to get the private key unless you're Nintendo. Well that makes sense. I wonder if there's any other exploits in boot1..?by bg4545 - Offtopic
I'm not sure if I can explain this but I think it made sense in my head.. Since boot2 has to be correctly signed on new Wiis, it is not possible to install BootMii as boot2. I was wondering if there's a way to correctly sign it? I'm pretty sure that a correctly signed BootMii/boot2 can't be distributed though as it uses Nintendo's signature, but if there's a way toby bg4545 - Offtopic
It installs to a partitioned SD card and doesn't touch the NAND. I'm not sure about Linux partitioning on a Mac though..by bg4545 - Wii Linux
QuoteWaxyPumpkin72QuoteCriscoSlight technicality, my point is if your lasers broken and you send it in, they find out your wii has homebrew on it they won't fix it. Even if homebrew did nothing. Yes, only if they find it. XD My point exactly. If you send it in for sonething like that you can remove all trace yourself and there'll be no problem.by bg4545 - FixMii
QuoteArikadoSo now you're going to lie about what happened? lolk. I'm sure everyone else who saw your post can point out there were a number of personal attacks against me in there as well. For example, "I bet you use the ATM Machine xD" and other silly nonsense like that. I believe he didn't mean it as a personal attack, he was only pointing out the redundancy of "irregardless" byby bg4545 - Feedback & Support
QuoteCriscoNot true, they refuse to fix any wii that has been modified. No, they refuse to fix any Wii that they find out was modified. if there's no way for them to find out then they'll repair it.by bg4545 - FixMii
well updating to 4.2 shouldn't cause a brick, but if it did you most likely would have to wait for the next update to 4.3by bg4545 - Getting Started
Yes, you put the boot.elf on the root of your SD card and put the 'private' folder from bannerbomb v2 on the root also.by bg4545 - Getting Started
Yes, the problem is that your HBC was configured to run of one IOS before the System Update and after the update, that IOS was no longer usable. So reinstalling the HBC will allow it to run of a usable IOS.by bg4545 - Getting Started
To fix the HBC, run the HackMii Installer with bannerbomb and reinstall the HBC. You probably have some IOS problems but I can't explain how to fix right now as I'm not on my computer.. I'll let someone else handle thatby bg4545 - Getting Started
xyzzy is safe but IIRC it doesn't work anymore.. I'm sure you could run it and find out with no negative effects. Edit: Note: this application is now deprecated in favor of BootMii, which appends the entire keydump to the end of every NAND dump. Bushing 21:55, 9 August 2009 (UTC)by bg4545 - Homebrew Applications
Formatting the Wii does not make it so you can "start from scratch". It just deletes all of your channels and saves. You have cIOScorp installed so the HackMii Installer won't use your patched IOSes. See this thread to see how to fix it. Edit: Sorry, didn't read that you tried it. That is how you fix it though so if it didn't work then you must have done something wrong..by bg4545 - Getting Started
Quotepinuelasrocksit was just BootMii Yes, did you install BootMii as boot2 or BootMii as IOS? If BootMii doesn't start when you turn on your Wii them you most likely have it as IOSby bg4545 - FixMii
Try reinstalling BootMii with the HackMii Installerby bg4545 - Homebrew General
QuoteWaxyPumpkin72Quotejbc007Deleting something in data management does not remove all traces of it. This is why you can copy things that you had installed before back to the wii after deleting them. If you simply install the HBC and then un-install it, it won't remove all traces of it? If you uninstall with the HackMii Installer it will remove all traces but if you delete it with the Wiiby bg4545 - Getting Started

QuoteAngie21mDo I have to be connected to the internet to use the homebrew browser? I got the apps thing down. But it's still not letting me play any games on the hb channel. How does it show up if there is a disc in there that will play? You do need an internet connection for the Homebrew Browser. QuoteCodeZero....Can someone please help me out?? I'm a little overwhelmed. I have all the files on the card: Then I proceed to the SD card menu after inserting it into the Wii. It runs automatically and then a DOS like screen appears with the black background and white text. I then proceed to select the SD card from the list of selectables by navigating left and right with the wiimotby bg4545 - Getting Started
