QuoteSuryoyoBy NAND programmer you mean like Infectus right? Yes QuoteSuryoyobut wouldn't you need a NAND dump to flash it properly or is it optional? A working NAND dump from the bricked wii would make things easier, but it is not absolutely necessary. If the boot2 blocks from another wii that has Bootmii installed are flashed to the bricked wii, Bootmii will run and can dump the keby jbc007 - FixMii
You can't install the old DVDx if you have system menu 4.2 (there actually is a way to do it, but it is impracticle as it requires you to downgrade an IOS and reinstall DVDx every time you want to use it), so you will need to get MPlayer CE .76 to work or install the USB 2.0 cIOS. The cIOS provides DVD playback capability just like DVDx, so MPlayer CE does not need DVDx to play DVDs if youby jbc007 - Getting Started
If you installed DVDx with the Hackmii Installer version 0.5 or newer, MPlayer CE version .75 and older will not recognize it. If you use an old version of MPlayer CE, you must install the USB 2.0 cIOS or the old DVDx to play DVDs.by jbc007 - Getting Started
The 4.2 update stubbed IOSs 50 and 60 (among others). The update from the game disc had either system menu 3.4 or 4.1, which require IOS 50 and IOS 60 respectively. However, since the version number of the stub IOSs is higher than that of the usable IOSs, the correct version of your system menu IOS was not installed by the disc update. This left your system menu trying to run on a stub IOS, whby jbc007 - FixMii

The disc should autoboot itself when you turn on the wii using savemiifrii without setting the chip to autoboot it. However, if this does not work, you could autoboot Brawl with the chip and use Smash Stack to run WAD Manager. On a side note, how were you able to configure the chip without the wii working? I thought that a drivekey had to be configured through the disc channel, but I maybe Iby jbc007 - Getting Started

All of the cIOScrap cIOSs are trucha patched, so that is not an issue if you have it. You should be able to autoboot a disc and fix your wii.by jbc007 - FixMii
If you have the cIOScrap IOS 60, you can use Savemii to boot an autoboot disc. If you don't have cIOScrap, unless you trucha patched IOS 60, you can't autoboot anything fakesigned; even with a chip.by jbc007 - FixMii
I have no idea what you want to burn on a disc, but no matter what it is, it won't work. Just use WAD Manager to install IOS 30 version 1040 and system menu 3.2e, or IOS 60 version 6174 and system menu 4.1e.by jbc007 - FixMii
Use Dop-IOS Mod or WiiSCU to install IOS 61 and the shop channel. The news and forcast channel thing that you saw in WiiSCU was probably just the warning on the startup screen about installing duplicate versions of these channels. You have to go past the start screen to installing anything. There is an option to update the shop channel.by jbc007 - Homebrew Applications
QuoteBrutalRageI was using some program in the homebrew channel to be honest i dont know what is called but it had an easy name. Bootmii as IOS provides no brick protection; it won't help you fix your wii. In any case, you will need to install a chip to fix your wii. Did you trucha patch IOS 60 or do you have the Indiana Pwns save file on your wii? If not, you will have to autoboot an NTSC-U copy of brawl, which is not easy. There are a a few ways to fix this sort of issue and they all require a mod chip. The easiest way is with an auto-boot disc of an application to uninstall the theme. Did you install the .dol in Preloader? If you didn't, Preloader can't load it. The issue is that Preloader needs ES_Identify in the system menu IOS in order to load the system menu.
