The only "must have" is Jump 'n Bump Dop-mii-HBC edition is one of those tools you should never really need, unless you mess something up. (In general, I know there are other uses)by Daid - Getting Started
Yes. Homebrew, like any software, has bugs. But the reset is almost always "wired" to return to HBC. (Not really wired, but that explains it the best way in layman terms)by Daid - Homebrew General
Quotegamefreak89Multi-Mod ManagerA quick google shows that it's not supported here. A slower look gives me alot of features found in Dop-Mii. So most likely it stole code from that, and it has no source available (GPL violation). Not that the stinking pirates care. Boot the stuff from the supported way (HBC) and report back.by Daid - Homebrew General

(Just a small note from me: This is why I tell people to stay away from C++, to understand all these things you need a very good understanding of what is happening. std::vector makes heavy use of copy constructors and assign operators for example) ftImage **levelNumTxt = (ftImage**) malloc(12*sizeof(ftImage*)); for(i=0;i<20;i++){ levelNumTxt = new ftImage(640,480); levby Daid - Coding
It might be an accounting problem. Not sure how good the Wii kernel is, but I've seen processes that use very little CPU time but show up as 100% load. Just because they where running at the right time. I thought newer kernels had fixed that problem, but I'm not 100% sure.by Daid - Wii Linux
"ksdioirqd/mmc1" is part of the SD card "SDIO" interface. There are SD cards with WLAN support out there, which use SDIO. Are you using one of those? (I've never seen them, so I think they are rare) Most likely this is a kernel thread (marked with straight brackets if you run "ps aux"), I wouldn't worry about it. It's not some kind of rogue process. And unless you are a kernel hby Daid - Wii Linux
It's no problem to have spaces in the name of a wiki, if you use wikimedia software that is (as most wikis do)by Daid - Offtopic
The bug might be in different code, is "ftImage" an C++ class? Could you show us that code? What I'm thinking is happening here is that this: levelNumTxt = ftImage(640,480); Might create a new object "ftImage" and then uses the copy constructor, or assign operator to put that in levelNumTxt. But after that the orginal tfImage gets destroyed. And if you haven't made your own copy coby Daid - Coding
It means some process is using 100% CPU time. Use the tool "top" to see what causes it.by Daid - Wii Linux
QuoteArikadoDaid: Thats not necessarily the case. I believe what he did was make his project, change main.cpp, and then make his project again causing only main.cpp to be compiled again because it was changed. I can back my theory up by pointing out that his other files have errors in the linking stage thus they must have passed the compiling stage previous to him posting the log here. QuoteReckOkay, i tryed to remove the channel. But now when i try to install it, it freeze on the same as i wrote at the top but my controller is on. Version: 3.2E I use BannerbombI had nothing then troubles with Bannerbomb on 3.1E, so might be the same for 3.2E. Twilighthack ran without a hitch on that version for me.by Daid - Homebrew General
If it would be possible to directly run software without exploits/HBC then we wouldn't need exploits/HBC. You can run your software directly trough an exploit like Arikado suggests. But if you need to use an exploit anyway you might as well install HBC to make it easier. Expoits get fixed, but HBC will always remain the same.by Daid - Ideas, requests
Is the level.cpp in a subdirectory or something? > "make" main.cpp linking ... yosdemo.elf Only shows that it compiles main.cpp, and not any other cpp file, while you say you have more files. If this is the case then update the SOURCES in the Makefile: SOURCES := source source/subdircontaininglevelcppby Daid - Coding
Well, looking at the limited amount of code you have posted. I think you might be looking for "var args": Which can be a bit troublesome to use (because you don't know how many arguments you got) Maybe you want to post a few more details about what you are trying to accomplish? There might be a better way but more context helps.by Daid - Coding
QuoteArikadoEdit: Just realized "Level" is in the levelManager.cpp file. Still though, thats bad practice to use it like that. I cant even imagine all the scoping problems that's going to give you. Move it into your levelManager class.I think you wanted to say "global variable BAD", move that one to the LevelManager class?by Daid - Coding
QuoteLaserFlashTry updating to the latest libogc and see if that works.Don't reply if you don't understand the error at all. This has nothing to do with libogc. technik's sollution might work. It looks like level.cpp isn't rebuild after you changed it. If it doesn't work after a "make clean", then show us the output from "make" after you did a clean, that might help usby Daid - Coding

I think SNEEK did NAND emulation at the IOS level (intercepting the calls, and implement those by reading/writing the SD), requiring a cIOS, something we no longer seem to support (no need for homebrew to have a cIOS, and piracy depends on it) Also, NAND emulation will never fully protect you, it would still be possible to read/write to the NAND trough direct register access, like bootmii does fby Daid - Feedback & Support
The only thing I think the Wii does with USB on startup, is powering it. So the only fault it can have is that it draws to much power. However, USB spec says that you must be able to handle this properly and shut off the ports power. If they do this on the Wii however, I don't know.by Daid - Hardware
Screenshots look good =D Just wondering, ThatOtherGuy stopped helping you or something? Or is he still working on it? And judging from the screenshots, first thing I would do is add some enemy code. No castlevania is complete without some zombies.by Daid - Ideas, requests
I could help out, but I don't have access to a Wii right now. Not that that should be a huge problem, with GuitarsOnFire I spend 90% of the testing time on my PC. Are you willing to show a screenshot? I'm wondering if we could reach a larger group of people then just the Wii homebrew.by Daid - Ideas, requests
This list might help: But in general, aim for 1GB/2GB cards, that are not SDHC. I have Transcend cards myself, a 1GB and 2GB, which both worked for the twilight hack, bootmii, HBC, and everything else. Except for bootmii NAND backup. Sandisk seems to pass the bootmii tests quite well if you look at the list.by Daid - Homebrew General
Looks like your SD card might not be supported by Indiana Pwns. Not all cards work with all hacks/software/homebrew, microSD is known to cause troubles for example. Just because 1 part of the Wii accepts the card does not mean all parts will accept the card (mine works fine with almost everything, except for the BootMii NAND backup for example)by Daid - Homebrew General

QuotejlenoconelI'm a little bit worried that the USB's at the back are busted. How easy is it to mess though up?USB is designed to be robust, so don't worry about that, if it works most of the time then the problem is almost certainly not in the hardware.by Daid - Getting Started
Note that you are better off with using something like or at a even higher level GRRLIB or libwiispriteby Daid - Homebrew General
Some shops go as low as 5-6 dollar for 1GB: Comments seems to indicate it works in a Wii, but isn't that fast. (I don't think the site sells high quality things, but you get what you pay for, and I know they are not a scam)by Daid - Homebrew General
