Download demo0.elf and run it through the SD Card menu in Bootmii I guess, I'll tell you in a few EDIT: Nope, didn't work through the SD Card Menu in Bootmii or replacing PPCBoot.elf I think you need a USBGecko to get it working =( I guess he never tried since he just used a USBGecko to upload it directlyby cactusjack901 - Homebrew Applications
as cool as it would be, I have a feeling it would be illegal, since it would involve modifying Ninty's files. if it was done with say MyMenuify, I think it'd be alright thoughby cactusjack901 - Homebrew General
I think it was Marcan. Also, I was modding my friend's Wii tonight, and due to the nature of the hacks he wanted (Hey, who am I to stop him, I'll help him along, I just won't do it for myself), I had to use the unnamed software dealing with the Trucha Bug and when it downgraded IOS15, it flipped, so I think it is a bug dealing with either Trucha or ES_Verify, although when an IOSby cactusjack901 - Offtopic

So, I need someone to clarify this for me, as I understand it, this program runs off Bootmii (but doesn't use MINI), and is just a groundwork for building upon Bootmii, in the sense that it can read input from a USB Keyboard (as it seems, that's all it can do at the moment), but will eventually be able to read input from things such as the Bluetooth module, and then this code can beby cactusjack901 - Homebrew Applications

yeah, but I think they should've waited for bannerbomb to be patched, just based on the fact that Bannerbomb is an exploit for software that everybody has, keep it going for EVERYBODY as long as possible, before going into exploits that are exclusive, get what I mean?by cactusjack901 - Offtopic
nah, I much rather a dedicated Linux partition, it runs a bit faster and if my Windows partition gets screwed up for whatever reason, I still have Linux as a backupby cactusjack901 - Homebrew Applications
As I always put it, those "download accelerator" things are the computer equivalent to shooting a few holes in your TV to get a better picture, it does more harm than good (like wasting CPU cycles and whatnot)by cactusjack901 - Ideas, requests
but the thing is, HBB is (mostly) on your wii, it's not a webpage, the only time it connects to the internet is to get updates, and to download an app, other than that, it's ALL on your wiiby cactusjack901 - Ideas, requests
Don't know yet, we haven't had to find any, Twilight Princess works fine, and so does Bannerbomb, and in the event you have a problem with Bannerbomb, there's Super Stack Smash Bros.by cactusjack901 - Ideas, requests

QuoteTopGun96Yeah, beta 3 has some problems. You could install the beta 4 test version.... It supposedly fixes this problem. Then you won't have to switch the keys and whatnot. Yeah, it fixes it, but backups are ungodly slow, I would recommend the update though, even though it's not an officially posted update yetby cactusjack901 - FixMii
yeah, this is just overflow rage from old school PSP hacking (pre 2.71 era), people en masse just didn't get the difference between a lock up, an overflow, and a glitch. Then comes this guy, who doesn't get those differences, no big deal, we were all there at one point. Then he has the 360 thing, which doesn't take into consideration the lack of way (to my knowledge, I don'tby cactusjack901 - Ideas, requests
*twitch* no, for the same, exact reason. I generally try to be nice around here, but god damniit good sir, you're a twit!by cactusjack901 - Ideas, requests
No no no no and no. A game locking up is not something that can be exploited. The song screwing up once in a while is not a buffer overflow. just... just noby cactusjack901 - Ideas, requests

FIDONet was a method of communication between BBS systems. Before the internet was around as you know it, there were Bulletin Board Systems or BBS, and my brother had his own (A fairly popular one too), Now the way the BBS would work is your computer would dial a phone number, and interpret what the phone on the other line is "saying" and it would bring up a page. Most BBS systems were more orby cactusjack901 - Offtopic
I would try keep going up a directory and eventually you'll be able to select your choice of how to load a game (USB, DVD, SD, SMB, etc.)by cactusjack901 - Homebrew Applications
yeah, I know far more about this stuff than I should, I remember all of it going down, but I'm only 18... Hell, I still remember FIDONetby cactusjack901 - Offtopic
yeah, if you installed Bootmii you need the Bootmii directory, but you don't necessarily need the installer.log, however I'd leave it there for reference (and I'm a total geek so I get a kick out of being able to read the log and see what the changes were to my Wii when I hacked it)by cactusjack901 - Getting Started
When sony failed to deliver them a CD-based addon for the SNES (stupid, stupid move Nintendo), they signed a contract with Phillips, one of the stipulations was that Phillips was allowed to make their own games, and they could use Nintendo characters, so when Nintendo also turned down Phillips' CD-based addon (Sony's turned into the Playstation, and the Phillips one, the Phillips CD-I.by cactusjack901 - Offtopic

ahh, sorry, I haven't had to use an exploit since 2.71, and a quick google search (and I mean QUICK) said that it would. Upon further review, it would appear that the exploit is there, but the HEN hasn't been updated to take advantage of it.by cactusjack901 - Offtopic
err....dunno... around I guess =p MIKE you can find on the GC-Linux page, a compiled version of Comex's NAND Formatter was linked here recently, and cboot2 you can find on most of the fail sitesby cactusjack901 - Getting Started
besides Ceiling Cat (the bootmii GUI), 2, cboot2 and MIKE cboot2 allows you to install a trucha patched IOS, this is made for people who have lost just about all other recovery capabilities, at least this is my understanding of it, and I have no idea if I'm allowed to discuss cboot2 here and MIKE is a Linux Kernel that starts using MINI, which allows it greater hardware access than ifby cactusjack901 - Getting Started
